Speaker Dar

Welcome in, Kelly…. I am so excited to have you here today. I just feel so blessed.

Speaker Kelly

Thanks, Dar. I am excited to be here. It's just a wonderful day.

Speaker Dar

It is. Would you start by telling our audience a little bit about yourself and numerology for understanding ourselves better is today's topic. And how did you get here?

Speaker Kelly

Sure, I have been studying and working with numerology somewhere between 25 and 30 years. I know I was in my early 20s and I just turned 50. So somewhere in it, and it started out as just kind of curiosity, poking around with divination tools, which also included things like tarot and pendulums and all that stuff during the time. And then I just kept going back to numerology and numbers, which kind of makes sense, because, I mean, I worked as an  engineer for 15 years. My college degree is computers, all of that stuff deals with numbers. So apparently, I'm just a numbers person.

Speaker Dar

Yes, a numbers person. And when we talk about numbers, when we were talking about numbers, we thought you were talking about how numerology is actually the language of the universe. Will you define that a little bit for us, Speaker Kelly sure. So numerology and numbers are all the language of the universe. When you think about it, that's okay, when you're talking plant identification, it's numbers of leaves and numbers of petals and numbers of stalks and branches. And you get the picture. You talk about sound. We're talking about hertz, which is also described in numbers. Somebody who does sound healing can tell you that at this many hertz, it does this, and at this many hertz, it does that, and they really understand that, that whole communication between how our bodies absorb sound and what the sound is and what it does, you look at things like sequences and ratios. Those are all numbers. I mean, one of your most famous is like the golden ratio, which tells us, you know, for things to look attractive to us, that everything has a certain ratio to it. You're talking about Fibonacci sequences. Is probably one of the most famous, which then makes that whole spiral pattern when you map it out, you talk about distances of duct boat distances. It's always measured in numbers. You're talking about things like light and how that works and how we see. All of it is described in numbers. Our whole lives are our numbers, to be honest.

Speaker Dar

Absolutely. So when we talk about numerology for understanding ourselves better, how do we break ourselves down into numbers that make sense?

Speaker Kelly

Okay? So there are two things that when we come into this world, we are given. One is a birth date, because we have a date of when we're born. The second one is our name. So when you think about it this way, is that okay? Our birth date does not change. That's kind of our life path. Okay? So I always call it the Birth Number. It kind of gives you this foundation, which doesn't mean you can't pursue anything that you're interested in, but that you're more likely going to be interested in X number of things based on the number of your birth date.

Then if you have your name number, or some people also call it your expression number, which also your name, gives us a bunch of numbers, but your complete name gives us your expression number, which is, if you think about it, when you give somebody your name, that's how you're introducing yourself. It has its own energetic value, and that also depends on what name you're giving somebody. If you have a nickname compared to your given name, you have to give somebody your full name, or you give somebody your first, middle and last name. And then, of course, if you get into other cultures, some of them have, like, eight or nine names to their name. It all changes energetically, depending on what you're being given or what you were giving the other person. Does that help?

Speaker Dar

Yes, I was wondering if you could, could do my name just because I know you've already done it, but I think it'll give us, the audience, a feel for how the numbers can be accurate. So I'm going to just. Quickly tell the story that I use. I use Darla throughout my teaching career, I've always been called Darla. I really haven't had any friends or family members ever call me Dar but when

I got into healing touch and metaphysical things and was going to really put myself out there with this new, new to me, authentic truth of my spirituality. I started using the name DAR. So even if you just break down Dar for them, I think they'll get an idea of how this works.

Speaker Kelly

Okay, so in numerology, there's a chart that we use and depend on and there's a couple different ones. There's one that uses the numbers one through nine, and then there's one that uses the numbers zero through nine. I do not use the one with the word with the number zero, and it probably makes the most sense is that in one, I've been taught my whole life that zero doesn't mean anything. So why would we use a number that doesn't have any quote, unquote value? It's just a placeholder. When you're talking in the language of computers, one is on and zero is off, and when you're you know. So why would we use a number that's either off or zero or doesn't mean anything, and it also means null, okay, so I just don't do it. So we use numbers one through nine. So when you're looking at your name, D is four, A is one and R is nine, okay, so when you break that down, nine plus one is 10,plus four is 14. Break that down, it becomes a five. Okay, so five is that number of adventures. It is about seeking new things. It's a curiosity.

It can be very playful. So when you're talking about your new career into the metaphysical and healing touch and those things, adventure doesn't necessarily mean like, you know, go out and get the adrenaline high kind of thing. It can just mean learning something new, always looking for new opportunities, looking for new things. Being an entrepreneur is a very adventurous career, because now you're self-employed, and both you and I know and anybody else is an entrepreneur out there, being an entrepreneur is a new adventure every day. It doesn't matter. So it makes sense that your name shifted when you did this, compared to Darla, which we broke down into an eight before eight is that success thing, which success doesn't necessarily translate into money and cash, but it can mean respect. It can mean a whole bunch of different things to different people, depending on what their goals are. And then you talk about the teaching profession, which you had before, and you've had that respect in the classroom, respect within the community, which all can be viewed as being a very successful person. So the change in name doesn't surprise me at all, because we change our identities to what feels more authentic to us. So our name can change a lot over our lifetimes.

Speaker Dar

I find that so interesting, and I'm sure our audience found it rather valuable to see how you break that down. Now, you have said that there are five main numbers when it comes to understanding ourselves better with numerology. Could you go through that list of five?

Speaker Kelly

Sure so you have your life path number. This is the number that we come into the world with. This is expressed mostly. This is expressed solely by your birth date. This is going to be that number that gives you the general foundation of your life. And again, that doesn't necessarily mean that okay, if you are born and you are three, that you are going to be necessarily always in the spotlight, because threes tend to be very charismatic. They tend to be very joyful, very happy. They tend to attract a lot of people to them. It doesn't mean that you're always going to be the center of attention and that you're going to need a career that's the center of attention, but you are going to want something that's going to be compatible with that, being able to use that charismatic personality. Then you have your soul number. This is your soul's desire. This is, like I said, there's a lot of lot to your name. The soul number is one that we do get from your name, and it tells us kind of what is your deepest desire. Which doesn't mean that, you know, it's not necessarily what we are spoon fed as a society to what we should want. This is what you actually do. Want out of life. And again, it gives you a perspective that it's this wide path, and you can choose any narrow path within this and you're still going to find that same satisfaction no matter which one that you choose, that's the narrow path. Within this wider path, you have your expression number, which is your name number. We just kind of talked about those, how your name can change. Can change over time. So depending on if you use a nickname, you use your given name, you use your full name. We also talked about culturally that, depending on what your culture is, depends on how many names you actually have, so all of that can change dramatically. So when you're talking about, how do I give somebody my name while you were talking about, you know that as a teacher, you were Darla, but now into the metaphysical and the more spiritual side of your life, your Dar that name change makes complete sense. Um, you also have your birthday number, which does come from your birth date and your birthday number. That kind of gives you more of not so much like a life path, but here it's a generational expression of who you are. Like we are all influenced by when we were born, we're all on foot because, you know, society where that's a piece of us too. So that birthday number kind of helps us express how that has shaped us. And then you have your personality number. And again, this one goes back to your name, and it's not necessarily saying that this is all that you are, but here a good part of your personality is going to come from that number, whatever it may be.

Speaker Dar

So many of these, you did mention that it goes back to our name, and I think that's really interesting, because when in the metaphysical world, when we want to call in a spirit guide, or we want to call in our ancestors, or we want to call In help from the Divine for healing, the name is our calling card, and here we come back down to that in this process of a Numerology reading as well. Can you lead our audience through a little activity to find one of their numbers and break it down?

Speaker Kelly

Um, yeah, I'd be happy to but before we do that, let's talk a little bit more about the name of things. So if you think about it, if you think about it this way, is that you have, and one that sticks out in my mind, because it's a recent one, is that, okay, we have, we have Facebook, right? Social media, we're all familiar with it, but now it is trying to change over into being meta, right? What is it? A name? Well, meta gives you a different feeling than Facebook does, or Instagram, which is also part of this umbrella, so you know you're talking about, and anytime there's a name change, that's going to change the level of energy that you have. It's going to also change the energy that other people perceive from you. And it is also going to change, um, just the levels of success that you have, if that makes any sense at all to you, hopefully.

Speaker Dar

So how about talking about that a little bit more the meta and Facebook?

Speaker Kelly

Okay, so I haven't done that the numbers on either one of those, but if you think about it, that, okay, you know, somebody says Facebook to you because we've been dealing with it for so long, it has a energetic feeling to it, and I probably could do the numbers really quick, too. 610, 1517, okay, so Facebook and then keep in mind, I just did this in my head, so I may be off a little bit, but I believe that it breaks down to a seven, which seven is all about asking why and trying to understand everything on a deeper level, which letting people into your lives is letting them understand you on a deeper level. So as far as the social media thing goes, that makes perfect sense, right? Um. Um, and again, like I said, I ran the numbers in my head, and my math might be a little off, but then you have meta, which has less numbers, so it's a little easier. So meta, actually, this kind of makes sense for a social media company too. So meta breaks down into two which are all about building partnerships, building relationships, um, which, you know, social media is supposed to be about building new relationships and maintaining the ones that we have. And you know, even if it isn't necessarily in the most authentic way. I mean, let's face it, on social media, we usually don't, you know, air dirty laundry. We don't air our problems. We tend to keep those for, you know, people that we're close to, and we only show the good side of things. So it always makes our lives look like they're perfect from the outside. But on the other hand, it is a way to maintain relationships. So it does make sense. So I guess in that way, it doesn't necessarily change what these two things are for, but it does give you a different perspective on Facebook being the seven and the deeper understanding compared to the two and the building of relationships.

Speaker Dar

Very interesting. Thanks for doing that for us. Now, can we move on to an activity for our audience

Speaker Kelly

Sure, no problem. Sorry, I told you I'd go down every rabbit hole. So there's my rabbit hole. Well, I love them. So the easiest thing to do is probably to figure out what your birth date is, okay, which is your life path number. So you take your birth date, you take the numbers for the month, which we already know that you know one through 12 is whatever month you're born. You have the date, the day date itself, which already has a number, and the year already has a number, please use all four numbers of the year. This is an important piece, that if you only use the last two numbers of the year, you're going to get an inaccurate result. So if you add all of them up together, you are probably going to get a double or triple digit number. Okay, so if you add them up, and I am making up a number here, just because, well, I don't have one in front of me, let's say that you added them up and you ended up with 112 as your last number. Okay, so that's three digits. So then you take those three digits and you add them together. So one and one is two, two and two is four. That breaks down to a four. If you have double digits, just add the two digits together. If you end up trying to simplify those numbers and you still end up with two digits, just keep adding them together until you end up with only one digit. That's your life path number, and what that number says about you means different things. So if we run through and we go kind of basic, what those numbers are is, one is about leadership, okay? Two are about relationships and partnerships. Three is about charisma and attracting other people and having people want to be around you, being very friendly. Four is about being highly organized and very detail oriented. Five is about being adventurous and wanting to learn something new. Six is also about relationships, but we're talking more of a familial kind of relationship, families, siblings, parents, maintaining those things. We're talking, we've talked seven. We're talking about why size seven is the number of curiosities. It really is about breaking things down and understanding things on a deep level. Eight is the success number. And again, we've talked about success does not necessarily mean cash and money, but it can mean many things to many different people, depending on all sorts of other things within your chart. And then nine, lastly is the number of wisdom. And there's a difference between knowledge and wisdom. So seven is knowledge. It's that number of understanding things deeply wisdom is things of understanding innately, the workings of the universe, which doesn't necessarily mean understanding physics and all the laws, but just understanding that there's an underlying fabric that we all have to play on.

Speaker Dar

Thank you. That was so fun. I hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did. It was really fun to break that down and see what number we came up with. Thank you. So I want you to talk a little bit. What does a Numerology reading look like? Having one from you, because our audience is going to be able to use your contact information if they're interested in having a

reading. And I'd love it if you described what that would be like,

Speaker Kelly

Okay, so it really depends on what kind of reading you want. Some people are only interested in finding out one of those five numbers that we talked about, which is the life path, the soul. Soul number, the expression the birth date, or the personality number. Some people just want to know one of those. If you want to do one number, and it takes about 10 or 15 minutes to, not only, you know, get the number, but then talk about what that means for you. That is $20 you want to get into them. Then you can do what I call a full reading. And this is where it gets. Much more interesting is that you understand what all five of those numbers are, how they interact with each other, plus then you get an energetic analysis of your name and your birth date together, which takes every individual number that we use to come up with those five and shows how energetically they play with each other. Now keep in mind, energy always flows in that path of least resistance. I mean, we see that everywhere, so it's no less true in numerology than it is anywhere else. So whatever number occurs the most in your name is where we start. And then we talk about how they interact with each other as we get into the least amount of energy that you have in those numbers. And then keep in mind that, okay, your chart generally looks kind of like a tic tac toe board, and it has the numbers one through nine on it. Um, is that your chart is your chart basis with the numbers one through nine, we all have all those numbers. We are all born complete human beings. And in order to be complete, we all have to have all those energies. The thing is, the chart itself breaks down. How likely are you to depend on that energy in and of itself? So and having done my chart, many, many times, five is the most occurring number in my name. How often do I depend on that? Looking back at my life, I have depended on it a lot. I am always about, let's learn something new. Let's do something new. Let's stimulate that curiosity. Let's, you know, let's satisfy that part of it. And then it breaks down into other energies around it. My next lowest number is three. I think I don't know. I don't have my chart in front of me, and memory is not my strong suit. But so we're just going to go with it and say, okay, it was three. So then that curiosity also then plays into the whole, you know, my personality and how that is used to attract people. And not that I necessarily depend on it on a conscious level, but on the unconscious level, you do depend on your ability to connect and attract other people into your lives. And then, of course, we work our way down to that, down to even the numbers that, quote, unquote, don't occur. You still have that energy there. It's just that it's not as natural for you to lean on it, not that you can't develop it because you can. It just takes a whole lot more work to do it.

Speaker Dar

And how much would the full energetic chart be?

Speaker Kelly

Yeah, sorry, I got distracted while explaining things. That's 50. And then the other thing I do is a compatibility which is actually two charts. Each question counts as one compatibility reading, and that's 90. The compatibility reading can take up to an hour, sometimes a little bit more, and that talks about who you are, and all of your full energetic reading and the energetic analysis, compared to the thing that you want to be compatible with, or you're trying to decide if you're compatible with, which can be a person, it can be a location that you live. It can be your job. You can pick pretty much anything, and we can look at it and say, okay, energetically, this is how you break down energetically. This is how this thing breaks down, and this is how you're compatible, and where you're going to probably have issues, and then ideas on how, even if you have issues, how you're going to solve them.

Speaker Dar

Beautiful. Well, our audience will be able to look into the show notes and get your contact information so that they can email you to go to the next step, a call or a zoom session, or continue to converse via email. Kelly offers all of those things, correct?

Speaker Kelly

Honestly, your best experience is either going to be by phone call or by Zoom meeting, because then you get to ask questions and really understand deeply. But on the other hand, I mean, if you want to just email you, I mean, you still get the chance to ask questions. Questions, it's just usually easier to communicate this way.

Speaker Dar

Yes, and Kelly and I met in person at an expo, and it definitely is better to meet with her in person. I can vouch for that. So Kelly, is there anything else that you're just called to let our audience know before we wrap up?

Speaker Kelly

Um, I don't think that I'm a woman of many hats, because two years ago, I went on this whole complete journey of authenticity. So I'm not just, you know, like a numerologist, I also offer life coaching, which we can base that off of your numerology chart. Um, I do art. I do. I'm an officiant as well, as far as weddings and stuff. So I mean, I when you, when you come to my site, which honestly is still incomplete, which it is, what it is, um, but you know that there's a whole bunch of other stuff on there too. You know what? Take a look around. It's all good. It's all just kind of the little aspects of my life that make me complete me. And I encourage you to take that journey and find out the complete you too,

Speaker Dar

“complete you”. And what's funny… I'm laughing because I'm the same way. My website is the same way. So I call that multi-passionate. It makes me feel better.

Speaker Kelly

Honestly, I think most of us are multi-passionate. And if we quit following the advice of quote, unquote, business gurus that say you can only be one thing, we would all be healthier, happier people out there pursuing things that make us joyful, honor and this session, just I know, added to my joy.

Speaker Dar

Thank you so much for being with us. Kelly, I'm reaching out with a big Virtual hug, and hope to see you again soon.

Speaker Kelly

Thank you, Dar this was fantastic. I had a really good time. And hopefully this, you know, reaches out to people!
