Welcome to the 6th season of Call It In With Dar—the show for women who know, deep down, that their best years are not behind them. The seekers of the world!
I’m Dar, your host, having coached thousands of women and coauthoring a bestselling book. I am someone who has very much walked this path of reinvention myself. And let me just say right here at the top—if you’re listening to this, it is not by accident….you were brought here for a reason!
Whether you’re on a walk right now, curled up with a cup of tea, or simply catching a quiet moment to yourself—this episode is a loving nudge to remind you:
You are not too old.
You are just getting started.
Let’s take a breath together.
(inhale… exhale…)
Now let me ask you something: Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought, “This body doesn’t feel like mine anymore…”?
Have you caught yourself saying, “I used to hike. I used to dance. I used to feel clear and vibrant... Where did that woman go?”
Or maybe, like Judy—who I think of as the heart and soul of the women I serve—you’ve been through a major life shift. Maybe you’ve lost a partner. Maybe your job ended, your kids moved out, or your caregiving role changed… and suddenly, there’s space. Quiet. And questions. Judy is 70. She’s a widow. A grandmother of four. Her friends describe her as calm, compassionate, and deeply spiritual. But inside, she’s still hungry for more—more connection, more mobility, more joy.
She’s afraid her body is slowing down… but she’s even more afraid that the world has already written her off.
Does that sound familiar?
A few years ago, I had my own wake-up moment.
I found myself crouched over a bed, trying to clean up after an aging man who had soiled himself. My back was aching, the smell was overwhelming, and I remember thinking, “If this is what aging is like, I want nothing to do with it.”
But that moment—messy, painful, humbling—that was the beginning of everything shifting for me.
I started a simple 10-minute self-care routine. Just 10 minutes. No gym, no special equipment—just movement, breath, prayer, and intention. And over time, that tiny decision brought me back to life. Shortly after I even created this podcast!
Because here’s the truth no one tells you:
You don’t have to overhaul your life.
You just have to start where you are… and honor what your body is asking for.
Listen to me closely: You are not broken. You are not behind. You are not past your prime. You are just out of sync with what this new season of life needs.
Your body is wiser than ever.
Your soul is full of lived wisdom.
And your story? It’s not winding down. It’s deepening.
What you need now isn’t more hustle—it’s more harmony.
Not more doing—but more being.
That clarity you’re craving? That bounce in your step? That connection to something bigger? It’s still available to you.
Right now. Right here. At 60, 70, or 80.
Now I want to talk about something close to the heart: legacy.
I know you’re not just here to feel better.
You want to be remembered. You want your grandchildren to say, “She was full of life. She never gave up. She shined.”
And legacy? It’s not about writing a bestselling book or creating a foundation—though those are beautiful.
Your legacy could be the way you laugh.
The way you keep saying yes to joy.
The way you refuse to be boxed in by your age.
It’s how you show up in your body, in your heart, and in your presence.
That is what lives on.
So today, I invite you to do one small thing—just one—that moves you toward vitality.
It could be a 10-minute walk. A stretch. A tall glass of lemon water.
It could be turning on your favorite music and swaying in your kitchen.
Or it could be something deeper—booking a free Brain & Body Clarity Call with me.
We’ll take a kind, curious look at what’s keeping you foggy or stuck, and map out a gentle way forward.
Because you don’t need to do this alone. head to the show notes for the link. Let me leave you with this:
You are not too old.
You are right on time.
Your body is not your enemy—it is your ally.
And your joy? It is not behind you. It is calling you forward.
