Hello ya bunch of cuties! The Cooking GRRRL podcast is all about chefs and food forward people. We dive deep into the food scene in LA and (hopefully) around the country. We choose to have GRRRL in our name based on The Riot grrrl movement which is a subcultural movement that combines feminism, punk music, politics and NOW food. We talk about what inspires us, excites us and how food brings us together. Hey there all you cuties! This week we have a very special guest Phuong Tran, the chef and owner of Croft Alley located in Melrose Place also newly in Beverly Hills. Phuong took me under his wing when I mentioned that I wanted to pursue a career in culinary two years ago. He demonstrates respecting the product given and creating a beautiful dish done with intention. We talked about philosophy, art, catering for Kanye West’s Sunday Service and how music influenced his cooking. This is a truly special place made by a truly one of a kind Chef.
