We choose to have GRRRL in our name based on The Riot grrrl movement which is a subcultural movement that combines feminism, punk music, politics and NOW food. We talk about what inspires us, excites us and how food brings us together. This weeks episode we talk to Jeffrey Vance, he was the head chef of No Anchor located in Seattle and a plant based pop up called Bok Choy by PRD in Los Angeles. Jeffrey shares his experiences in starting from being a 16 year old trying to save up some money for records and skateboards into falling in love with a world of cooking. We talk about the vibrant food scene of Seattle, forging in Washington and transitioning to Los Angeles. We are so happy that Jeffrey was able to talk to us and hope you enjoy!
