Declan Hill
Declan Hill is an associate professor at the University of New Haven.
His book ‘The Fix: Organized crime and soccer’ is about Hill infiltrating a group of match-fixers as they fixed matches at the World Cup. It is a best-seller in 21 languages.
Hill is an investigative journalist whose work appeared in over-1,000 media outlets including, The New York Times, BBC, Der Spiegel, The Guardian, & The Sunday Telegraph.
He has won numerous awards, including Amnesty International’s Best Human Rights Documentary, and the Canadian Association of Journalists.
Hill has testified before committees at the European & UK Parliaments, the Council of Europe, and US Congress.
Hill received his doctorate from the University of Oxford and is a keen boxer who trained in Cuba.
