Celebrate the new year with boundless energy and a firm commitment to turning aspirations into reality. As I commemorate another year of life, I'm reminded of the profound impact birthdays hold—not just for me but for those born around the millennium now embracing their 24th year. This transition into adulthood echoes the essence of our recent discussion on the "do year," urging us to evolve from passive learners to active creators of our destinies.

In the tranquil moments of early morning, I reach out to you, embodying the determination to take action whenever and wherever possible. In this heartfelt conversation, I reflect on a decade of service, the resilience it nurtured, and the reality that those we rely on may not always stand by us. It's an honest exploration of self-reliance and the significance of introspection in understanding and refining our actions. We delve into navigating the overwhelming advice life throws our way, focusing on the wisdom that truly propels us forward.

Like sharing a confidential insight over coffee, I confide in you about the challenges and victories of balancing passion projects with the daily demands of life. We celebrate the art of creation, whether it's a book, a film, or a podcast, highlighting the determination needed to stay consistent, improve ourselves, and surround ourselves with positive influences. Welcome to a space that goes beyond mere conversation; it's a call to take action and a well of motivation to guide you through 2024 with kindness, genuineness, and the courage to simply get things done.

Speaker 1:

Beautiful people. Welcome back to another episode of over thing understanding podcast. I'm your host, victor, you're more. We are back with another episode, not just another episode. We are back with the first episode of 2024. First episode of 2024. They see that guy one more time. First episode. First episode of 24. One more time. One more time the apple juice, just a little apple juice. I'm excited to be making this episode. I'm excited to be making this episode for two weeks.

Speaker 1:

I'm happy to start off 2024 working on my podcast. It feels that feels amazing and I have to do not anything else. Not somewhere to pull or in the field. Just got done working for a long day and trying to give time back to this. Feel good to be only Only focusing on my podcast. That feels great. I really. I tell you guys all the time that I really enjoy this. I really enjoy Sending down and talking to people. I really enjoy them sitting down and making this content for people to listen to. You know I enjoy hearing y'all feedback and you know it's just dope, it's dope.

Speaker 1:

The second reason is 2024. I guess it's 2024. I got always say you know, listen to my podcast episodes here and there and my dad taught me to think. I say about, I don't even put a ton with it. He taught me some time back though a little ways back I think he'd like it from somebody that he worked with. But the guy told him my new year starts on my birthday Because it's when you make you know your full year. So I made 28 December 18th, so that was my New year. But it still feels amazing and I will not act like it's not a big feat to make it from January to January.

Speaker 1:

So this episode reference of the dude, like I say, first episode of 2024. We just gonna talk and we're gonna do, just gonna talk, but then we really just talking, we. This episode is Happy New Year's do year. That's it. Happy New Year's do year. This is the do year. What I mean by this is the do year. I Think we advised out. I say we don't got advice from Everybody, not saying it's a bad thing at all, but we are advised out and I can say we, as Me and me myself, the whole spirit, like Over here, we advised out, like we done, gave it, we don't gave it, we don't receive it and I don't mean it in a way, you know, still don't have nothing to learn and none like that.

Speaker 1:

It's just time to put it into effect. You know like you could go around collecting. There's like all these these quest scavengers, freakin egg hunting, something. You got all the eggs in the basket, you got you loaded up, you got all the eggs put inside the basket and it's just full. Right now I don't send in my baskets full. I just feel like it's a do-year.

Speaker 1:

I think I know this is feeling this. I don't go off feelings with people, people, people, people, people. But I just know like this is do-year. You have to execute, execute. I think this is a biggest thing. Like do it. You know, not even no shut up no, no, no pun intended with Nike, just do it, just do it. Like, really, I think it's just, it's just time.

Speaker 1:

And a lot of people I'm gonna say a lot, I'll say people made it very popular to be motivational speakers and, you know, give out all this advice and all these different types of influences on Social media and your influence and bringing people these content, do something with it. That's why I'm saying this year is literally doing something with it, to be Making it to. I just said I was thinking earlier to be like a child, or not even child, because I'm not too much. Oh, they didn't want to be too much younger than me, but Excuse me, a baby that was born, born, excuse me, in 2024. I'm sorry, baby that was born, and the 2000, 2000, they will be 24 this year. I don't know why. I'll just blow my mind. It just blows my mind. If you were born in 2000, you were 24 this year, like you're 24 this year. I don't know, I just I don't know. I don't know why that, why I was even getting there, but it blow my mind. I'm just saying it's like. It's just like a do-it-your, like Thomas, not waiting for nobody. You know, we can make all the jokes 80 babies, 70 babies, 90s, baby, dead, this is literally like 2000s, like, and by five, six years, these people won't be 30. So where is gonna put the 90s babies in six years, in the 80s babies in six years? Tom is not showing down from nobody. We have all this is this knowledge and Wonderful things that we have collected throughout the years.

Speaker 1:

Covid broke a lot of people out of the shelves. Excuse me, covid broke a lot of people out of their shelves. Covid made a lot of people realize like, regardless if you do it or not. Regardless if you do it or not, life will go on without you. People on pass Jobs don't leave. If they feel fit or not fit, or you feel fit enough it to do whatever, life's still gonna go by. And when it's time for life to order, if you want to go and life comes to a halt, come to a standstill, covid told us it's gonna do that. And then 2021 you seen so many people with that new found. I'm gonna do what I want to do or what benefits me or what's gonna work for me, because I know 2020 told me that life won't go on regardless. This job won't go on regardless. I'm gonna go on regardless. And If I wanted to go and it can't go, then it's not gonna go. Whatever I do is not gonna go and Just going in 2022, like the same thing. People just oh, covid slowed this down.

Speaker 1:

A lot of what. What happened right there, right, the strikes was 2023, but just so much stuff that happened within these last four years. From COVID it was COVID-19, so really, father tell in 2019, but now you look at four years removed from COVID, you know so many family members love they lie to say life just to kind of took a standstill and I didn't kind of like it, literally pause, like you was still living. But it wasn't the same life he was living before COVID. People lost their jobs. You had people going crazy off of PPP loans. You had all types of. You had stimulus check. We collected stimulus check.

Speaker 1:

The government literally Just dropping money into our bank accounts and because a lot of people need the money, it didn't even figure out. Like literally the government just whoo, this is what you use on your last or how they framed it. This is what you use on your last tax. The taxes boom, we drop it as much as your account. From that account it's like what? Like I don't know, I got say this is do your this to do your. If life haven't showed you already or you don't feel like life has already Equipped you with the tools to be successful, telling you right now it's already there.

Speaker 1:

I said that I had a conversation with one of my siblings that's that's has counselor right, and Before I left him he was like, yeah, I'm just telling, I'm just telling you, you know, you gotta start worrying about people feeling you gotta do what make make you happy like I'm changing. That's what I do, I do, I do what make me happy. You can be, you can be, sparing people, feelings, and that's all. I just looked at and said I already know that, I already know that and I I don't know, it was like a peaceful when came over my body, because it was just like I meant it, because like I was like I know that and it didn't and it's no, I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna say that it took my sibling to have cancer to come to that conclusion. But the way the conversation was going prior to this kind of like, yeah, I'm in this situation, I'm already, I'm already you know, and and there were is dying, so this is how it is now and that, and I just feel like I've been like that for a long time, like regardless, if we know what we're dying of it.

Speaker 1:

Surely, as you live, you die and I, like the long time ago, well then, in a service, 2024, 2024, I will be in a service for a decade and to some people it's like they don't. You know, I did 20 years but at the same time, people have did two years, people have not made it to three years, people have not made it Six months. So to be like. I have been in a service for a decade. It's like in this, what almost a decade July be a decade. It's like what. What has that taught me? And one of the things you taught me is that, like you, you gotta do a make-up because you learn. You learn that the people that you want to be there for you are the people that you want to guide you or even just walk with you through Certain situations. Not gonna be there all the time and it's okay, that is okay. Take what you have learned From these people and push forward. Push forward and go on about your business. And it was like one of the people I'll tell you I just I just looked at my sibling was like I already know it is no hard feelings to nobody is not a. I Come into 2024 with a bunch of New Year's resolution resolutions.

Speaker 1:

I always say that I Get into the Bible, back to my older episodes, just going through the bottle and coming on here and touching, talking to you all about the scriptures that I read, what I took away from it. But One of my biggest takeaways that I always tell people, the Bible teaches me to be so reflective, so so self-reflected and Understanding like what could you have do better? What could you hide it better than the situation? What did you do wrong in a situation that caused the situation to be worse? Or what could you have did better in a situation to make it better? But I just said not to say. I said start off this episode. It's a do your is most Definitely a do your. Do what you can Do, what you will. You know.

Speaker 1:

And when I say it, like I said, when I say we have priced out, we kind of look for somebody to tell us you know you want to lose some weight, eat this certain amount. We know this stuff, go type it to that. If you want to lose the way, do it. If, if you towing up just anything that we working out the new year's resolutions is always great. I got always say new year's resolutions. You start them off at the new year and if you get into, like you know, january, february, then the end of March, you know where you want to be, like, oh, I'm gonna start over. Hey, I'm gonna try again next year. You still got so much time. Just do what you can do it where you can do it, like right now.

Speaker 1:

I'll show you the episode two o'clock in the morning on the East Coast, one o'clock in the morning here, freaking Central time and I don't know what on the West Coast is like two to three hours by, something like that. Regardless, hey, get in there, we could get it in it. Like where we working you make it fit it. Make, make it work if make your schedule work for you. If you want to work out, and they say where you the best working out is in the daytime, me, I'm sorry, best working out is in the morning. And you know millionaires get up in the morning, do this, do it when you could do that. It's a man that has to work late nights. It's some billionaires that work late nights. You know it's a billionaire, like I don't know what GZ popped in my head that moment. But dope boys, they do it some late nights. It's some 24-hour days. It's some everybody else gone and they sold what they sold and you still are trying to get any customer and Like just getting where you could fit in there.

Speaker 1:

And I say you might not be a bice-tout Student, you might be a person that does not take a lot of advice and I met those people. That is cool. But I would just say like I feel like we have my style and the reason that I feel that we are. By style, we are at an advice overload. We have been advised and advised, given directions and told what, how we supposed to do it and what our life is supposed to be live like, and what Believe you supposed to have and how you supposed to walk and talk and the better way to do this. You look, and I'm gonna say it's not. I'm not saying, if you looking up to somebody and you're enjoying somebody Giving you some type of guidance, so yeah, I, like a mentor, I'm with that Water. Excuse me, but I'm with that all forward. I'm just saying use that advice. Here's that advice that they giving you. Use that advice that you, like I say, use what life has thrown at you and not even throwing at your good, bad ugly, just use it. You, you, we take it so much information and we have took it so much information and I have yet to just see I Would get, I could, I speak myself. I have yet to just see the hit the ground running part. It's like we, we need that, that, that kind of stuff. Oh, can I, can I, when I step here take off running. When I step here, do I take a couple steps or what? Like hit the ground running, like do it.

Speaker 1:

It's one thing that I want to write a book right now. Have to be a long book. I want to do a movie. Do a movie. Have you seen to be nothing? Not nothing against to be cosponsor over thing I stand a pocket. I'm not like saying nothing like that. I'm saying Like people joke and they make fun of to be movies, but that's a movie that's been out for the masses to see. It's funny to people. But it's taking us something like YouTube and putting out a movie or a short film there. You could go put that on television and so all these look like a to be movies, are going to be movie. But that movie is those type of platforms is giving people the chance and they doing it and you watching it. One of them like you're there, they're doing it, you're watching it.

Speaker 1:

So something you want to do this year, something that you want to accomplish this year, go out there and do it. This is the dude year, 2024. Go do it. So do year. I'm getting out there and I'm doing it. I want to do something. Go do it. I want to make money. Get your mindset right to do it. Make money, keep money, attract money, go do it. Whatever you need to, to believe in, to step forward and go do it. Go, do it. I want them. You know they say your network. If your network is your network, I want to do better. Put yourself in a better situation. So I'm yourself for better people.

Speaker 1:

Like I know there is been New Year's that I wanted to me a broke. I Haven't been one of two years broken a long time, and it's like it's a blessing now. I said it like this year Okay, I got this much, I want to add as much. I don't mean this month, I want to go in making this much made. I'm gonna say this much, I'm gonna spend this much, I'm gonna get this much down off of here, do it. It's not even gonna talk about. And I got saying I'm just cooking all your time here and even like, if y'all take from it as far as I'm not even trying to give advice, I just and I ain't trying to take like you have to do it, I'm just saying do it. I just didn't do it, as I really talk to myself like do it, there's so much stuff out here in the world and that hasn't been unlocked yet. So many and I guess so many actresses and rappers and moguls freaking next doctor and great Dennis freaking next Martin Luther King says it ain't been Then introduced to the world yet. Nice big organization, nice big out as it don't do it, do it. And one thing that I had to come to understand when I started doing stuff just because you start in 2024 Doesn't mean you go get your break in 2024. It depends like. This podcast started this podcast See that hold on my necklace, oh, they can understand. And podcast was established in 2020, 2020.

Speaker 1:

I was this podcast. I have heard people saying my logo, doing my logo, this person. It was tan over thinking, understanding and we over take like, so, like it's been so much, it's been so much. And I'm looking at my pocket of my kids. I'm looking at my podcast four years later and it's just like, see with it. You know, I'm looking at it four years later and I started it in the pandemic time I started it. I was, they would say, like I Never been one of people to just speak in from how I felt in the way of I think that this is the way they did it ago. I'm looking at somebody else situation and speaking on it and I haven't been there. I ain't always like, I ain't been that person on that person. Like I did, like I started this and I started this podcast in the Excuse me.

Speaker 1:

I started this podcast in a pandemic and it was for that reason, had a sibling get counsellor, my grandmother, what that has been heavier, set my whole life dropped down to like a hundred thirty five. Like had a very serious illness found out in Afghanistan on the short trip over and Coming through on the way back, like you know, my granny was in a bad way for a few months, almost like there was like half a year, if not a year, but 20, 20 years. I get the ground and regardless if I put out I think it said my analytics said that I play out like six episodes for 2023 and it was over 481 downloads. I think seven countries reach even that, even that like do it. Of course I want to Quire Drupal ten times that this year being consistent, but I'm gonna just do it. You know I get on. I think at the end of 2022, 22, 23, I'm gonna do more episodes on because they said I had a Like more episodes, more downloads and stuff. That's like, yeah, I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna get out there and do more consistent, but just do it, do it, do it where you can do it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I like I have a job. I work craze out and I had a my last. This job is Funny because before I came back to the regular sector of where I work, I Was gone. So it went from me having an extra bag just for my podcast equipment to Okay, trying to get my mind right to shoot an episode, to not feel it was a lot right and then just it. But I was actually gone. You're in a different country or different state, moving around. Cookie got different stuff going.

Speaker 1:

On the job that I am at now, I don't travel as much at all. Last year I Traveled one time for one time forward, like what I used to do before I got here was actually nothing like they should do, but I actually travel. I had to leave where I was stationed at and Now it's just a job taking up so much of my time. Before 2023 ended I was working zero 445 into 1830, 1900, may, for most part sort of kind of made my own schedule, but so much was put on me I had to be there and that, of course, one thing for him I'm not doing it, it's not, it's not happening, it's not happening, but I'm saying all I like to say. I couldn't have made more consistent episodes, but it was kind of like the same hurdle you got to get your mind right, got to get time to my significant other, my family, the whole reason that I came to where I live, and now it's just been one time my family, because my family was so sick.

Speaker 1:

And 2020 and Transitioning and getting down here steady, coming from 20. I was driving 24, 22 hours by myself. You know, like a couple times I had people make the trip with me, but by myself, or me and my dog, but then I had to move places and my dog can go to the new place and they my Dog was down here for eight months from my family. It was a lot going on. So that's why I say like I, this is just a new year. Like I look back and I got I really didn't have New Year's resolutions, even on my birthday. It was the same thing. It's something Burning inside and it's just like, like it's lit. It's like do it and it's the same thing I don't feel like. Excuse me, I don't think I'm the only person with that and I and I was saying like me, looking at it Just from now, I just feel like it's coming from.

Speaker 1:

We have gave, the vice has been given, the lessons have been learned. You have to Go and implement it. You have to do something about these lessons that have been learned and that vice that has been given. You gotta go out there and do something about it. We gotta go out there and execute it. I sit back and I watch all the time.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes I get I get so fascinated. It's a guy that I've been trying to get all my podcasts for a minute and I'm gonna get them on in a church before I Try to get them on my podcast for a minute. But I found him fascinated because he a hood dude, older dude, got a bunch of partners locked up, got a lot of partners dead and it's still just fascinating to see the in between. Like I Won't even say he want the affection from the street, but I love for the street, but it kind of come off like you do and it's just like. But the way he talked is like he nobody Like we speak and we speak about something the same thing and it's like he no better grown as man. You know, if I did, you got me by About seven, eight years, but it's just funny to see like man we could know better and still not do better. Right, and it's like if you know better, you'll do that. It's like that's not true, because you could feel like you're doing better but you're not, because you really don't know better. Like what you think nobody is, and my only way to explain that is to be his family's still in the hood, still kind of do hood stuff to make a living, and it's like you know you could die from this, partners dead. You notice some dumb stuff excuse me from falling for the streets and all of that but you still kind of like doing it. I think you can make it work and it's just fascinating to me when I see that and even just looking at people, us as human beings, I feel like it's the same way that we win 2020.

Speaker 1:

2020 kind of influence, influence, influence. 2020 can kind of like shut that down. It's like what are you influencing if you can't make it look like you do something like people who had? That was good with the mouth motivation of speakers. I got, say, dancing, tiktok stuff. That stuff took off because you could do that from the house. But people who try to look like they live in a way that they're not living, are they doing something or they only Influencing you to do something because they look like they're? I'm over here at this place and I'm over here, but it shows what them and doing that. 2020 Brought that to like almost a complete Ha. It's like where the influences are now. What they got, what they got going about now and it brought out the people that was Speaking and, like I said, the motivation to speak, this people losing a job and coming back and I lost it all here. And 2021 came back and got it. 2022 went crazy. 2023 went crazy.

Speaker 1:

I think 2024 like if you didn't have your chance to to go crazy and Accomplish and realize that you have everything you need, that you don't like it like you got it. Do it 2024. Was it the Kobe year dude in 2024? I don't like, just do it. I say like I really just coming on here, like I said, I'm just talking to y'all is not even I. We are an advice. I think we are advised out, adviced out, like it has been given, it has been received.

Speaker 1:

And even if I say what I mean by that, I got books, that I got an audible that I haven't even started yet, go listen to it, it's there. I'm not saying like don't take in, but you already got it. It's not no new. We don't need a new person or trainer. If the person or trainer that you had got you results and you know that you just stopped doing what you need to do, how about you do what you need to do? You don't need a new meal plan and move.

Speaker 1:

If it's if they stop working and it wasn't because the calculation or the calories was off or you know some crazy happy you know is just you not doing what you needed to do about you, just do it. It's as simple as that. I just like, just do it. It's sometimes I Want is like oh, I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do that, I'm gonna come see him, I'm gonna see him, I do this. All right, okay, if you don't go see that person, you say go go see him, it's like sucks, you can keep any word. You feel bad. The person feels like you just talking. But if you just pop up. So it's oh man, I'm happy you can't see me, ain't no talking about it, just go do it. You know that everybody's like standing on business. I hope that stays 2023, I guess so tired People said they're standing on business. But a teacher zone. You really doing it? Just do it. Don't you see it? Let the people tell you like, oh man, I see you still on business. But yeah, I ain't gonna make this episode long, first episode of 2024.

Speaker 1:

Like I say, this is the new year, do year. No, you do. You get out there and do it. You already got everything you need to go be Successful in this here lifetime, in this very place. Go do it, that's it. I don't want to tell you like anybody call me close family, need some advice I start is yeah, yeah, no, I'm gonna say I'm gonna just do. I'm gonna say I Ain't got it, I just do it. What you do it? I don't know if I need it, just do it. What you feeling like, what you? What you thinking, what, what, what have you learned? What does this situation mirror? Is this a new situation? Is this a situation that has not happened? Are you talking to the right person? It's not. I just do it. I need to go talk to him. I need to go do it.

Speaker 1:

I want to LSE my business. I don't ever see my business, but I want to start. I can do it, do it, do it, do it. We don't got enough. You started being this LSE, starting you to start a podcast.

Speaker 1:

Do this, do that, do it. Whatever you want to do, do it. You don't want to do it, don't do it. You still doing it. We're doing it the way that you want to do it. You know, like you, if you tired of people getting up, you open up Instagram. This. What if I do this? Wake up with the interview, work off of that. Do that. Still do it. Do what you want to do, work it how you need to work it to make 2024 One of the best years of your life.

Speaker 1:

But I'm gonna tell you how I'm doing. I'm just just gonna do it. It's gonna do it. I'm not gonna tell you be my Consistent how many episodes I'm dropping the week. None of that, just doing it and coming up here.

Speaker 1:
