47. Riding the Rollercoaster of Change
If you feel like the highs and lows are getting faster and stronger, you are not alone. We share tips and ideas for keeping grounded and stabilised as the coronacoaster surges on. As we prepare for the next stages of change, for many this represents a transition from full-time remote working to being back in an office.
Microsoft surveys suggest 66% of organisations are planning a hybrid set-up with a few days in/out an office. We are the first generation of adults to give this a go. As with any unfamiliar change, this brings mixed feelings especially against a backdrop of mixed safety messaging from the media.
For those who joined during the pandemic, this may be the first time to meet colleagues in person - despite months of screen time. Long-servers may find themselves in a whirlwind of navigating new spaces, booking their desk in advance, or fathoming new processes which may not always make sense.
Regardless of your current professional situation, rigorous self-management during change will be a valuable skill. Travel safe and if you start to feel queasy, focus on the horizon ahead.
