After our biggest season ever — nearly 80,000 downloads, a top 2% global ranking, and a documentary-style approach unlike any other show in B2B tech — host Katey Teekasingh is back to set up what's coming next.
Season 8 takes on the questions mid-market IT leaders are quietly wrestling with right now: the rise of accidental AI ethics officers. The imposter feeling that follows even the most senior leaders. The SaaSpocalypse threatening to undo years of cost optimization. What happens when you inherit a mess. The new realities of security and the return to the office. And a lot more.
We're bringing you the human side of IT — told like a documentary, not a Q&A.

The Catalyst by Softchoice is the podcast dedicated to exploring the intersection of humans and technology.
We just wrapped our biggest season ever about its smallest teams. We heard real stories from real people told like no other IT show. You know, I was crying at night. Man, I'm a grown man. You know, I go home and. And I cried. At one point. I was actually ended up in the hospital. I'm getting checked out. I had PTSD from those jobs. And, like, I just feel like I was in abusive relationship for so long. This stuff you never expect to hear on a B2B IT podcast. You know, the agent can successfully read your email and parse out your daughter's dance schedule and put it into the family calendar. You're like, I have. I have solved the most complicated problem in the world. Just started popping out this app for me. Do you mean like this? And I was like, oh wow, it was blown out of my seat. I'm like, okay. He says, what do you get when you ask an American a question? He starts laughing and says, you get an answer. And there was advice you won't hear anywhere else. With AI systems, you get the productivity game only having done 20% of the work. And that's what's driving people up the wall. You aren't what you know you are. What you're willing to learn. With vibe coding specifically. It's great that it created a lot of citizen developers. What it didn't do or doesn't do effectively is create a bunch of citizen product managers. But if you're waiting for the dust to settle, you're just going to end up as part of that dust. A lot of people we work with and we see in the IT world have these responsibility handcuffs, you know. And it looks like that's exactly what our listeners wanted. Nearly 80,000 downloads since we launched this season, putting us in the top 2% of podcasts globally. Not bad for a show about the smallest teams in it. And we're just getting started. And the next season we'll explore AI ethics, the imposter syndrome, the sass apocalypse, inheriting a mess, security, back to work, and a lot more new episodes every second Wednesday only on The Catalyst. Subscribe now and join thousands of it. Pros already listening.
