Marita's case is unique as it was the first test case in Victoria Australia that challenged the statute of limitations laws. In Melbourne, that changed in 2015 in response to the Royal Commission called into child sexual abuse of children in Australia.
However, by this case failing and Marita had to pay her abuser over $100,000.00 This case has now set a bad precedent for other sexual assault victims following. Marita would like to highlight that in this podcast and share her journey.
