Since lockdown began, the jokes about overeating have been coming thick and fast on social media. Having overcome chronic comfort eating myself, I help people to stop. But I must admit, even I’ve struggled more than usual during the pandemic.
It may be that you’ve tried every diet or technique on the planet and still can’t stop yourself from eating. You may have become so frustrated and sick of yourself that you’re desperate for another solution.
That solution is to treat the cause of overeating, rather than the symptom.
You may realise that it’s emotional discomfort that causes your comfort eating. Or, you might be baffled by how your overeating habits or binge-eating could be caused by emotion. Maybe you’re thinking:
“it’s just a habit” or, ‘’I Just like food!”
But, you want to change things. So, it’s time to go a little deeper.
