#63 Adam Sommerville: Overcoming Suicide and Becoming an Ironman Athlete

Marwin Silerio & Shenae Bearman Episode 63

Adam Sommerville is an Ironman athlete and the recipient of the Tony Jackson Scholar, awarded to an athlete who has faced adversity and embodies the passion for inspiring and motivating others. Adam's story to becoming an Ironman dates all the way back to 2021 when he found himself at the brink of committing suicide. A helpline phone operator talked to him for two hours and eventually not only saved his life but helped him set the goal to becoming an Ironman. An inspiring listen but more importantly it contains practical steps in helping navigate hard conversations with people you may know that are going through a hard time.
