#78 Chad Milnes: "I Resented Boxing!", Addiction to Validation, The Lasting Impact of Chad's Father
This is one of the most emotional interviews Chad has ever done. Chad Milnes, one of New Zealand’s top amateur boxers, has represented the country internationally and competed in over 100 fights. Since his retirement, Chad co-founded The Foundry Boxing Gym and recently became a father to his son, Charlie. What may surprise many is that Chad didn’t find his journey in competitive boxing to be extremely difficult. While he acknowledges there were tough times, he shares that the hardest challenges occurred outside the training room. In a raw and emotional moment, Chad reflects on his relationship with his father and how it is shaping his own approach to fatherhood.
