Self-Care Hacks on a Budget (or Not)
Mar 30, 2022 Season 2 Episode 28
Cheryl Beck Esch

As women, we need to take care of ourselves; physically, mentally and spiritually.
Do you take time for "me time"? Do you see yourself as a priority? It's important that we take the time to fill our cups so we can give and serve others. We often put other people's needs ahead of ours, but we need to respect ourselves enough to not feel guilty or selfish for this time for yourself.

Three Excuses:

1) "I don't have the money to pamper myself." There are many activities you can do that are free.
2) "I don't have the time." We all have the same hours in the day. When we make ourselves a priority and see the importance, we MAKE TIME. We make time for what is important, so schedule self-care time weekly.
3) "I feel guilty or selfish." Caring for yourself is not selfish. We have one body and we must take care of it as though a treasure.

Examples of Self-care practices:

Nature walks or hiking
Walk on a beach or near water
Journaling
Nap
Get out in the sun- 15 minutes without sunscreen
Read a book
Bath-Epsom salts or bubble
Facial
Manicure/Pedicure
Massage
Blow out your hair or get hair done
Cryotherapy
Sauna
Gentle exercise

* Please note, your list may look different and you need to discover what you enjoy and what fills you up and renews you.
Go and take care of yourself in body, mind and spirit and Rise above mediocre!
