Episode 121 - Bardstown Bourbon Company - Origins Series High Wheat Bourbon
A red phone booth with a secret code, a member-run whiskey sanctuary with thousands of bottles, and a high-wheat bourbon that turns into our new house pour—this one moves fast and lands where it counts. We kick off with Nashville’s speakeasy culture and the remarkable Whiskey House, a community hub that raises serious money for charity while reminding us why whiskey is best shared, not hoarded.
From there, we ride straight into release season. Eagle Rare 12 hits shelves earlier this month, King of Kentucky returns with an 8th edition that tests the limits of scarcity and value, and Buffalo Trace stirs the pot by slipping a surprise E.H. Taylor 15-year bonded into the Antique Collection lineup. We talk real-world availability, aftermarket chaos, and how to decide which bottles are worth chasing vs which ones are worth drinking.
Then we pour what we’re most excited about: Bardstown Bourbon Company’s Origin Series High-Wheat. At 106 proof and a mashbill of 53% corn, 39% wheat, and 8% malted barley, it’s a calm, confident sipper with an earthy-fruit nose, cherry and peach vibes, vanilla cream, and a caramel-toffee palate that finishes sweet with a gentle hug. No gimmicks, no stunt finishing—just a clear, delicious point of view at around $50. We explain why it shines in an old fashioned, how it stacks up against classic wheaters like Weller and Maker’s Mark, and why it earns the title “bourbon drinker’s bourbon.”
If you love whiskey talk that respects both the chase and the pour, you’ll feel right at home. Subscribe, share with a friend who loves a good value pick, and drop a comment with the bottle you’re hunting this season. Your house pour might be one listen away.
Luminaries, luminaires! I'm glad uh we got that out of our system. Tony and I, before this song and podcast started, we were uh we were bickering a little bit because I said the music was too loud, and it's it's good now. And I can hear myself nice and nice and crystal, crispy, crispy clear.
SPEAKER_01:Crystal clear, crystal clear. I like the Lumineers. I see them this year. What's the field, by the way? We should probably announce it. Oh, this is uh this is Tony and Mike, and this is Shy Tucky Bourbon Brothers. That might be my first time ever announcing it.
SPEAKER_02:You went right into it. I was like, wait, wait, wait. People first-time listeners need to know. Oh yeah. I forgot about that part. Uh Shy Tucky Bourbon Brothers, Mike and Tony. Tony and Mike slow it down now. Let's slow it down.
SPEAKER_01:Let's get a little critical. Shy Tucky Bourbon Brothers.
SPEAKER_02:So I'm gonna give you last podcast, we talked about uh some trips we had taken. I'm gonna give you a real quick um well, Tony went to the Lumineers concert. It was a long time. Yeah, whatever. That was early in the United Center in Chicago, which is a horrible place to Soldier Field, Soldier Field, which is way worse than a music. Also horrible place to see music. Uh so we won't get into the Lumineers anymore, but that's a great song called Gloria. Yeah. And uh, but Tony just went to Nashville, and I'm gonna start a timer. He gets 60 seconds to tell you about Nashville. Ready, set, go. Oh wow, I wasn't ready for this.
SPEAKER_01:But Nashville's a lot of fun. Nashville is speakeasies. Well, I'm getting there. It's it's way it's funny. The downtown is two separate towns. It's the town of uh bars and hotels, and the other side is, I guess, whatever people do for a living there. But uh the bars and towns, they have this whole underground speakeasy thing, and there's a lot of them. Even though the hotel I stayed in had one hidden one, the only one elevator went to on the second floor, and it wasn't anything special, but it's like they have all these hidden bars, they call them speakeasies because that's the so speakeasy is is like the definition would be they sell alcohol and it's kind of hidden.
SPEAKER_02:My first question was gonna be is underground, but then you just said second floor, so they can be at any level, right?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, okay, everywhere. Okay, yeah. The so what I did is one day I was, I don't know, Colleen. My wife had uh some it was her cousin's wedding, so she had some some some stuff she had to do with the family. So I had a whole like half a day off. So I just kind of walked around town and figured it out. So I I Googled. You're you're halfway done with your 60 seconds, I Google search speakeasies to find them all because they're not open at 10 in the morning, nine in the morning when I'm walking around. So I found like five different what they call speakeasies, and then Colleen and I went to a couple of them that evening after uh after the welcome party. One was called the uh red phone booth, where you go to this old school red phone booth. It kind of looks like a uh from London red phone booth, and you tile dial this phone number in, and I got the number. Uh I found that I had to enroll in something. I'm sure I'm gonna get a thousand text messages and emails out of it. Yeah, but that's bad these days. Anyway, I get it, and you go in there and it's it's kind of cool. You go there that night and you click it, and and there's like this whole like back speaky. The problem with that particular one is that they allowed cigar smoking inside, and that was that was more than I explained.
SPEAKER_02:So you go you had South and they do weird things at bars or different things at bars than the Midwest that I I yeah, I wouldn't want to be in.
SPEAKER_01:I love the live music. I mean, if you like live music and it's good live music, Nashville's a fun place to be. But it is younger, there is a lot of bachelorette parties, just like you read. Um you stayed in a nice hotel. I mean, we stayed in a hotel and uh post-malone was in the same hotel I was in.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, cool.
SPEAKER_01:So that was kind of cool. And then the um the predators, Nashville Predators, whatever team they play, stayed in the same hotel I was in. So we saw a bunch of hockey guys and we post Malone went down like the back elevator. Okay, so I gave you I'm done. I'm done. My 60 seconds is so frustrating. Well, kind of question do you got?
SPEAKER_02:I gave you 60 seconds because the more important part, other than everything you said, is the whiskey house. Oh, I didn't get into that. Six years ago, I went to Nashville and walked into what's called the whiskey house. It's now uh uh 150 plus members. They raise a million dollars for charity. I didn't know any of this, but Tony told me, but he didn't want to tell you, listener, that's what I'm club, our whiskey apartment after. And so I want I wanted to hear I was like on the edge of my seat for Tony to tell us about it. Did I miss anything? Was there anything else about it? It's really a cool place. It's like 5,000 square feet or something.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, yeah, probably. It's like a it's like an old um, it's like an old storefront, you know, like a 7-Eleven type store that's not there anymore. And then they have like this little entry for you, and then you go in and they have a guy named Moss, really cool dude that uh runs their whiskey club.
SPEAKER_02:He gets paid fucking employees.
SPEAKER_01:One one employee, but his job, but they do so much charity work and they do so many events there that they kind of need somebody to do the cleanup. So it was really cool. I I've never seen that many bottles in one place.
SPEAKER_02:So did you just search the whiskey apartment or did someone give you the address? Because it's kind of to talk about speakeasy, it's kind of like not so though it's not just pop over like this was like I know a member, so that's how you got me.
SPEAKER_01:Because of the member, because of the member that you know, he set us up with one of the proprietors. There's two main guys, I think, that started the whole thing, one particular JB, and he connected me with him, he connected me with the guy that works there, and then I was able to show up.
SPEAKER_02:So it's really like the real speakeasy. The other ones are just bars that you kind of like go into in a fun way.
SPEAKER_01:You don't pay anything at this one. This one you just there's like there's certain areas where you can drink whatever you want. There number of whiskey bottles. I think the guy told me it was 6,500 bottles, not counting small samples and stuff.
SPEAKER_02:Holy cow, that's nuts.
SPEAKER_01:I have some I I sent you the videos. It's I'm like whispering because I'm like, oh, I want to go there. Yeah, Mike was so jealous. I'm gonna tell you right now.
SPEAKER_02:I called him to hook you up. You don't you don't fuck this up, Tony. Go there and get your best behavior, which Tony always is.
SPEAKER_01:I'm always right. Actually, I brought home a video. Did you see the the picture I brought? They had some local artists that that painted pictures, so I bought one so I could donate. So it's there, it's on our it's above our dartboard.
SPEAKER_02:I have to look at that.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, um, okay, so anyway, that's Nashville in a nutshell. It was really fun. I would go back and I don't know, what have you been up to for the last two weeks?
SPEAKER_02:Oh man, it's um it's been work, work, work. It's been uh kids, kids, kids. And um I've uh been trying some of the new uh not to like roll right into uh what we were gonna talk about. Why don't we tell people what we're drinking? Uh well, no, let's talk about the bourbon world and what's going on in the bourbon world. What's new for you this year, this week? Um so a lot of stuff. This is kind of like the release season. Uh we are in October, late October 2025, and a lot of stuff comes out. Um, the ones I wanted to touch on uh that are coming out. This is not what we're tasting today. We'll get to that, which is a Barstown bourbon company pick. But uh two things uh is that Eagle Rare, everyone knows Eagle Rare. Um, everyone loves to buy it because it's very inexpensive, and it's a 10-year. They came out with a 12-year. Um, it's supposed to be um really great, toasty, um, earthy, um, a good char to it, and they're still only about 50 bucks a bottle. Uh, number two, and very far distanced from$50 a bottle is Tony, or at least my favorite and one of Tony's favorite in the world as far as bourbons go, which is the King of Kentucky, their eighth edition or eighth year came out. It is a 17-year-old blend. Um, production date 2007. Uh, King of Kentucky is uh, as we've talked about before, Brown Foreman. Brown Foreman makes Jack Daniels and a bunch of other brands, but this is like their crazy premium. I think it's retailing at um$499 or$500. Yeah, I think it's a lot. Um, and the aftermarket is already, I've seen it, uh it's not out there a bunch yet, but it's uh it's usually pushing$2,000 a bottle. Yes, I said it,$2,000 a bottle. That's crazy. Um, but it's not some of the best, it's just what it is. Some of the best Louisville Kentucky juice um ever ever made, and they're on their eighth year in the couple years. I think we've had like 20, 21, 22, 23, like a couple years, um, all of them are just showstoppers. Amazing. Uh, what is your bourbon buzz?
SPEAKER_01:My bourbon buzz is the new bottle in the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. So Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, everyone that listens to this knows what that is. Comes out every year. It's always your William Lou Weller, your handy, your Sazerac, your George C. Stag, and your Eagle Rare 17. Those are your standard five. They've been coming out with those five for many, many years. This year, out of nowhere, with no with no notice or no warning, they added a Colonel Taylor 15-year, four-month bonded release that I am positive is going to have a crazy buzz.
SPEAKER_02:And I would say a crazy price. And um, we don't drink enough Taylor. I'll just go on record and say that. Uh, I usually drink it uh because a lot of them are pretty obtainable and not super expensive, but um, and they're almost, almost, almost always bonded, 100-proof. Um, a lot of them are really good. I drink them a lot at restaurants, but yeah, that being a highly aged tailor is gonna be so super.
SPEAKER_01:I think it's gonna be so good. It's the one I'm gonna like specifically ask for this year.
SPEAKER_02:From Santa? From Santa. Santa Benny. Santa at the liquor store.
SPEAKER_01:I'm gonna specifically ask for that guy. Usually I ask for a William LaRue Weller or an Eagle Rare 17, but this year I'm gonna I'm gonna ask for that. I think this is something I just want to taste it. I just I'm sure I just believe that the first year they're gonna release something is gonna be special.
SPEAKER_02:I would say uh if you're a listener and um you know how to reach us through our Instagram, if you get any of those three bottles, the Taylor, the King of Kentucky, or the Eagle Rare 12, um I want you to come over to the whiskey department and share it. That would be really nice if you got one of those and you came over and shared it.
SPEAKER_01:We can get our hands on Eagle Rare 12, but the other two are are hard. That's gonna take some horse trade. Or a lot of money. I'm pretty excited about what we're gonna drink today. Oh, I know what we're gonna have today, and I've had this. This is one of this is one of my more favorite uh bourbons that came out this year, under 50 bucks.
SPEAKER_02:So Tony and I were like, what should we taste today? What should we podcast today? And he pulled a Barsound Bourbon Company bottle, which we have, you know, they have their I don't know how many lines they have now, but we have about 11 or 12 bottles. He grabbed this kind of cream-ish white label and threw it on the table. He's like, We're doing this one. And I'm like, What what's that? He's like, It's their newest, yeah, and it's their wheat. High wheat. And it's and he almost like fell off his chair. He's like, Oh, this is the high wheat. And I was like, Oh, okay. And I like everything you just said, so I'm glad you had when I asked the question of what is it and why are we doing it? He had all the answers. Uh, Barston Bourbon Company Origin series. This is their fourth, their fourth one. This is their fourth in the origin series line. Does that mean it's been coming out for four years?
SPEAKER_01:No, because remember they released uh three together all in one years ago. Yeah, remember they did the weeded, the they were all bonded, they were all hunter-proof. They did the rye, they did the weeded, and they did the regular bourbon. One was a white bottle, white label, one was a black label, and obviously the rye was green label.
SPEAKER_02:All right, I'm not gonna like kiss your ass right now, but sometimes when we talk about certain things on this podcast, we we have notes. And we have like uh not like tasting notes or things like that, but just a few, you know, jot down some some notes. What Tony just said, he just literally looked me in the eye and knew that verbatim by heart, yeah, which is like Jesus, how do you know that? Three different anyway. This is the fourth of the origin series. It's 106 proof. Um, it is the high wheat, uh, which is three 53% corn, 39% wheat. That's a lot. That's all crazy. Uh 8% malted barley. The age statement is uh a six-year, and this was distilled uh in 2018. So this came out end of 24, early 25. Does that sound right?
SPEAKER_01:It came out early this year, so you're right on. Okay. I feel like it was uh first quarter this year, but I don't know the exact year, month or rather. The biggest difference, so you know, this is they call this the high wheat, and then you gotta remember they also have the wheated bourbon that came out that I just said like three years ago. The biggest difference is the regular wheat, number one is bottled and bond, so it's 100-proof instead of 106 proof, and secondly, it's more traditional in their weeded profile at 20%-ish, plus or minus wheat. This is 39% wheat, so this is a significant amount wheat, which I just absolutely love this. Um, also their regular wheated bottle and bond was just over four years, so I think it came out, it came out really two years ago. So this is just, I think, the evolution of Bardstown and what they're gonna to do in the future is they're gonna, you know, all that stuff they released, they still have plenty of barrels sitting in there, getting older, and they're gonna keep producing some really good stuff.
SPEAKER_02:I mean, I just really love what they're doing in the way of simplicity, and this is like let's throw in a bunch of wheat and see if we and everyone else likes it, as opposed to let's pour it into some wine barrel or some rum barrel cask kind of thing, or let's try and put it in really extreme heat or extreme cold or put it on a boat or all these crazy things that people are doing with whiskey. This is just like where you can only do so much to the mash bill, you can only blend. Well, you can blend a lot of different ways, but um, this is a fun one in my eyes. I mean, when you in the way of simplicity.
SPEAKER_01:When you talk about weeded bourbon, I mean, the number one weeded bourbon that pops into anybody's head that knows anything is Weller. Weller is a weeded bourbon.
SPEAKER_02:The second one's I would say I think a maker's mark.
SPEAKER_01:Maker's mark, I would say with you second. Second would be maker's mark, and third's probably Larceny. Um, Larceny would be a far third. I think it's really a maker's mark and a um weller. And I would love the taste, and and that's something I'm gonna do, not on a podcast, but I'm gonna pull out the antique 107 Weller. I'm gonna pull out that makers mark 101 proof, and I'm gonna put this together, and I'm gonna do it blind and see what people think. Because I think those three are these are legit under fifty, these are under$50 bottles. They're the obviously the Weller antiques, hard to get, but the other two are easy and it's good.
SPEAKER_02:A lot of you talking about what you're gonna do. Well, I'll taste this and tell you my profile. I know you more to be a doer. And do you want me to go get some cups? You're gonna talk for 20 seconds?
SPEAKER_01:I'll go get some cups.
SPEAKER_02:What I'm gonna do is I have those right here. You know how people do that. Oh, we shouldn't, and they just talk way into the future. And it's like, come on, just if you're gonna do something, just do it. Some things are easier and they take time, but that's give me give me 30 seconds. When you want to go on a spiel, I'll go get it. We'll be ready to go. One thing we haven't talked about. This is Barstone uh bourbon company, um, with all the money they have and the time they've taken and all the brands they represent. Uh, they're able to put out whiskey, even though they're a newer company um at 50 bucks a bottle. So that's not too expensive. Cheers. Let's um smell this. What are you thinking here?
SPEAKER_01:Smells great.
SPEAKER_02:Right off the bat, what are you thinking? This is a standard, standard Bardstown bourbon company smell.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, okay. Well, what well what would you how would you dictate what a what that standard is? Like, because it's you know, some people can say that about Tennessee whiskies, they can smell it immediately, or and there's a lot of people say that. Yeah, you're good with Tennessee's. And a lot of people say you can say it with MGP, and I think it's the smoke and the leather, and I'm starting to get it with some of the MGB stuff. But what what in uh what is this sticking out to you? I mean, I can tell you what I smell, but I don't know if I've smelled it every time and thought of Bardstown.
SPEAKER_02:Um, I would say it's uh right off the bat, it's like an earthy with with like a good fruit. And when I say earthy, at least to me, and if you like AR, you know, chat GPT'd earthy, uh, to me it's like you're outside, you're not in a city, you're it's it's a farm, it's a forest, it's just like the you know, your surroundings, and it has that kind of like fresh air, earthy smell. And um fruit is just you know, they do the best thing about them is that they their the nose comes with a lot of different fruit. Usually it's really I mean when it's really pronounced, it's like straight up cherry or um a fruit that has um it's a little peachy to me.
SPEAKER_01:I get I'm getting like there's some nutmeg, cinnamon, like it's almost like some Christmas spices. You know, when I think of nutmeg and I don't think of cinnamon and I'm not getting as much pine, like you know, at my house we have a lot of like those candles, and and you get a little bit of the pine tree because we don't we have a fake tree, so my wife likes to burn the candles to make you think it's real. But uh that's a great idea.
SPEAKER_02:Uh huh. That's a really great idea. So I don't have I want to buy a fake tree and do that. There you go. I think we're getting a second tree this year, but that's for an that's for another time.
SPEAKER_01:Uh we have already had two trees. One for the real ornaments, like the nice ones, and one for all the kid ornaments.
SPEAKER_02:Uh like a creamy vanilla for sure. So to me, like the straight star cherry. I mean, these are these are that like earthy cherry fruit, and then almost like a cream sakol.
SPEAKER_01:All right, let's sip it. We've been doing it.
SPEAKER_02:It's a really fucking good nose. You know why?
SPEAKER_01:Because there's so much into it is drawn in. It is. Caramel. Nutty spices front and center.
SPEAKER_02:I would say a like a butterscotch-y toffee. Um, but then that like wheat takes over, which is like a it's not it's like that grassy that you're talking about. To me, caramel's like a hit you in the face, like and butterscotch is like a like a smoother, um but still creamy, great mouthfeel. Uh not I gotta keep looking back. 106 proof, not not burning me.
SPEAKER_01:No, this is good for 106. You know what? I think it's the lack of rye, it's not burning at all. Like the spice, you're not getting that that that rye spice because it's all wheat. It's a lot of wheat.
SPEAKER_02:There's a like, I mean, there's a little there's a little zing to it. Um, a little Kentucky hug at the end. Um, but yeah, not that, not that real heavy. It's just sweet at the end.
SPEAKER_01:It like wants you to it like makes you want to have another sip.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, it makes me want to like sit back in my chair. I need a fire. We have a fireplace in here. We need a fireplace in here. Tony, Tony, Tony, we're not lighting. Fireplace? Sit back. I don't need you getting too cozy in here.
SPEAKER_01:I might not leave. Um what I gotta deal with. What's your finish? You said long, long. I think what I like about it is no, no, I think it's a long, I don't think it's overpowering. I feel like the spice sticks around just long enough, but what I like is the sweetness comes out because I feel like that sweetness is what's drawing me to another taste. Another sip.
SPEAKER_02:Um yeah, I mean I'm pretty into this. Yeah. Thank you for bringing this over. We've got I really like this.
SPEAKER_01:I've had this before, obviously, but I never like have focused on it at this level. Um, this is one that I I always tell you, I like to make my old fashions with the Heaven Hell Bonded. Um, I'm gonna try this one. I'm gonna try this one next time. So do you ever do a Manhattan? You know what? I don't really care for Vermouth.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, so what I've been doing at restaurants is rye Manhattans, and then the rye kind of takes over the Vermouth. No joke. And it I've never and it's also, I'll put it this way it takes over. So, because yes, Manhattan's, you get them two vermouthie, and you're like, man, I just spent a cocktail now, is 18, 19, 20 bucks expensive, and and then it kind of ruins the whole like out to dinner experience if you get a bad one. But uh the rye with it, I'm probably like call it 10 for 10. It's like an easy it's it's simple. I'll trust it's like almost hard to screw up, at least. Like I haven't had a I haven't had a bad one. I know. These are like good enough restaurants and steakhouses.
SPEAKER_01:We happen to be out tomorrow night. I we're gonna have one. We'll have one when we have dinner tomorrow.
SPEAKER_02:Um no one's gonna so we're playing music tomorrow night, and um, but you know the band rule that the drummer can't drink too much because he doesn't know how to play the drummer. I know that's me.
SPEAKER_01:Sound check at three and going on stage at 10. We might have to go home then.
SPEAKER_02:I mean, can I can I stay on fast behavior after seven hours of being with Tony? Yeah, and if you're talking about Manhattans now, this is gonna this is a slippery slope. Slippery. This is gonna suck. We might need a place to nap. That's what Chris said. I was like, that's so great. Where are we uh is everyone doing like a Wii work? Is anyone gonna bring their uh laptop? Chris is like, I'm retired. Where can I take a nap? All right, um, back to Bardstown Bourbon Company. Let's do it. What do you think?
SPEAKER_01:You want me to start or do you want to start? I want you to start. All right. Shareable, absolutely. I think this is awesome. Influence, I've always been a big fan of Bardstown. I think some of it is because of how well they take care of us. But the first time we went in there, the food was fantastic. It's a cool restaurant, it's a great bar with everything you ever wanted. And I just think that they were the first to embrace this blending era that we're in. Uh, price is fantastic. This is 50 bucks. That's where I'm at.
SPEAKER_02:Um shareable. I'm going to the top level. I'm going to like, I'm actually bringing this places, I'm bringing it up to people, and I'm screaming from the treetops in the way of you. You really got on like a green river train. I did. And that's a that's also theirs. Uh, it's a brand that they barstown bought. Um, and I think those are like 35 bucks. Um, I am dropping the extra 15 for this$50 bottle all day long. So I already covered price being great. Uh, Barstown Bourbon Company, I like real old brands. Um, so maybe they'll I'll dock them a few points for uh being a newer uh brand, but probably one of the best, best new brands. So uh three stars. My rating on this.
SPEAKER_01:You want to start or you want me to? I don't want to I don't want to.
SPEAKER_02:You go ahead. Go ahead again. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_01:Uh, this is a this is a 375 for me. This is very good. I this is one of the better ones I've had. This this is the one of the better bourbons I've had this summer. And I haven't had, I mean, I I didn't go crazy this summer, but this is one of the better ones I've had here, especially with what we've tasted. This is significantly better than last the last time we did one, the vault. This is um, I mean, this is this is fantastic for the price. And I maybe it's because I'm biased and I always lump price in with it, but for the price, this is this is fantastic.
SPEAKER_02:The price fucking matters.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:When you can go out and find this because they make a good amount of it, and go to a store and you know get home with three bottles of this and something else, you're gonna have one, three to one, or sometimes two to one or four to one. Um, you can get a lot of this at a really good price. I would um I can't go four, uh, but I'm gonna I'm gonna up you and I'm gonna go three and seven eighths. Oh, that's fair. I I I mean it's I had to take another sip because I was like, do I just go with him with the three, seven, five? Do I go? It's really good.
SPEAKER_01:This I'm gonna tell people, I know I we have friends that listen that I talk to offline, obviously, and they're always like, Hey, you need to be you need to be a little bit more like differentiating on your on your thing so we know if you like it or not. I'm gonna tell you I really like this one. This is one you should go out and buy.
SPEAKER_02:Here's what I here's my last thought. And this can come off as a negative. I would say this is a bourbon drinker's bourbon. Okay. I would say if someone doesn't know anything about the company or the wheat or the proof or whatever, this is probably gonna come off compared to other like real sticky, icky uh knob creaks and stuff like that. Other stuff, you know, it just might be your jam. This is like it has I think I said simplicity before, but I'll say it again. It just has like this great baseline where I want more of it. I love the price, so I can get more of it. I don't have to feel bad about it. Tony said make cocktails with it. Um bourbon drinkers bourbon. This is my new uh this is my new house pour at the whiskey house.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, this is this is solid. Yeah, all right, man. Well, we're gonna go out with something that my younger son taught me he wanted me to learn how to play guitar so he could play piano at the same time. And it's a guy named Tyler Childers, and he's legit. Um, look him up. What's your younger son's name? Because you already dropped Logan. You already dropped your white, you already dropped Colleen's. I know, I got up two in the same one. He's an American country singer, songwriter, um, born in '91, super young. Um, grew up from Kentucky, which I love. And uh I just, you know, let's see what you guys think. But I I think this song is legit and we're gonna go out to it. Um, yeah, anyway, see what you think.
SPEAKER_02:This whiskey left me speechless. Literally sitting here, like, what else should I say? And I just took another sip and I'm like, uh I'm gonna have a second pour when we're gonna? For sure. Together? Yeah. Don't talk about lighting the fire, though. There's no fireplace here. Jack Jackie Burman Brothers! There isn't a fireplace here. But we tricked them and made them think there was because our whiskey apartment is so fancy. Nope, no fireplace. We do have a bathroom though, and a window air conditioner. We take care of the whiskey so you can focus on with whom you share it. Hopefully, you're sharing it at home, and your home has central air conditioning and not window air conditioners. But if you don't, or if you do, whatever. No one's gonna judge it. Good to see you, Tony.
SPEAKER_01:Ah, it's great to be back. Thanks, man. This is fun.
SPEAKER_02:Go get some barbs, Town Bourbon Company.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, loved it. So good. Hi, Rye. Yum yum. The uh it's a weird yellow. Weird yellow.
SPEAKER_02:I call it a creamy white.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
