I'm sitting down with Oda Meiberg — a doula, shiatsu practitioner, and women's health educator based in Amsterdam. Over the past 15 years, Oda has worked closely with women across all life phases, from birth to menopause, drawing on Eastern bodywork traditions and Western somatic approaches. She's also been navigating her own perimenopause journey, which brings a particular honesty and depth to everything she shares.

In this conversation we talk about what it means to stop fighting your symptoms and start listening to them, why menopause is not a problem to fix but a phase that carries meaning, and how touch — specifically shiatsu — can support women in their 40s, 50s and beyond on a body, mind and spirit level. Oda also shares some simple self-care pressure points you can try at home.
