Eternal life is, perhaps, the most important promise God could ever make. Some people don't think about eternity. They should, for after our earthly existence, each of us will spend eternity either in glory or under God's judgment. People around the world seem to know this intuitively, whether they've heard it taught by a religion or not. There's a good place, there's a bad place, and most people, whether consciously or not, try to live in such a way as to get to the good place.
