A conversation about infertility with Naava Carman
Jul 07, 2021 Season 1 Episode 14

In this episode, we talk about infertility especially for women in their 40's. Naava discusses access to fertility treatment and touches on how women from ethnic minority groups in the UK have not always had the same kind of treatment compared to caucasian women.

About Naava

Naava Carman's treatments are designed to tackle the underlying causes of infertility and help people enhance their chances of conception naturally and in conjunction with IVF and IUI. Whilst she treats all kinds of fertility issues, the clients who make her run to work feeling excited and intellectually stimulated are those who are 38-45 years old with complex, multifaceted fertility issues.

If you’ve been told there’s no real explanation for your fertility problems other than your age, if you’ve had multiple IVF failures, if you are sick of being in charge of all aspects of your journey without a safe person to hold you through it, then you will find a welcome home with Naava.

Naava has been in practice since 1999 and is an experienced fertility, gynaecological and obstetric acupuncturist and Herbalist specialising in complex autoimmune disorders such as unexplained infertility, recurrent miscarriage, hypermobility in pregnancy, PCOS, endometriosis and other inflammatory conditions.

She has also undertaken further specialist training in the area of female pelvic and sexual pain including vulvodynia and dyspareunia and has a special interest in treating Lichen Sclerosus. She centres the lived experience of people of colour, in bigger bodies, and of those presenting as anywhere on the spectrum of humanness. Naava meets all her clients exactly where they are in their lives.

Naava holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Acupuncture from the University of Plymouth, is a fully qualified member of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine and of the British Acupuncture Council, where she is also a registered Supervisor.
