However, you're choosing to listen to this podcast, ask yourself, how can I make this more pleasurable and do just that? I acknowledge the custodians of the land on which this podcast is recorded and produced, the Wadi Wadi people of Dharawal land. Now let's proceed with pleasure.
Regan: Hello and welcome to today's live. I am talking about decision making. In fact, I'm talking about the full body. Yes. And how I feel about the full [00:01:00] body. Yes. Which will come going to come to learn very quickly. For those of you who are new here, my name's Regan. I am a pleasure in business coach and I help coaches make multiple four and five figure months whilst leaving a pleasure filled life.
Because why would you wanna do it any other way? I'm on my way to pick up baby girl from Bush school, so I'm gonna start driving, come for a drive with me and let's talk f the full body. Yes. Now I actually felt a little bit, I didn't have a full body Yes. To coming and speaking about this, which is a perfect example because there's a part of me that feels a little bit afraid of judgment.
A part of me who, you know, for those of you who aren't new around here, might be saying, well, Regan, I thought you are talking about like being connected to your body and you know, honoring that connection with your body. And your body is the thing that tells you whether something is a yes or a no.
How to identify your desire based on your body, your, and that is absolutely [00:02:00] true, but what I used to base my decisions on. Was full body. Yes. Right. Maybe you've heard the phrase before, if it's not a full body, yes. It's a no. Right. And I used to be so on board with that. I used to be like, absolutely. Yeah.
Yep. If it's not a full body, yes, it's a no. But over the last, I wanna say like 12 months or so, there has been some big decisions that I've made, really important decisions that I've made for myself and for my business that. Were an absolute yes in terms of desire. I knew it was something that I wanted.
Was it a full body? Yes. Was my whole body on board saying, let's go, let's do this. I'm not afraid, I'm not nervous. I don't have a sw I was gonna say sweaty, but crack. Um, was that No, absolutely not. And were they Some of the best decisions that I've ever made. Yes. So I have made some [00:03:00] of the best decisions recently that have skyrocketed my income, that have helped me step into this leader that I felt was always there, but always a little bit nervous to come out and like speak a truth and lead other people.
You know, I always felt a little bit subordinate. I don't know why, but. There has been decisions that I've made that helped me grow my income, step into more of a leader, step into more of myself, feel more like myself than ever before. And those decisions were not full body yeses, right? Those decisions were like, oh my God, yes.
I so wanna do this. And my gut was like butterflies and my heart was racing and. One time I actually felt like I was gonna vomit. So I made a huge investment in my business, about six months ago, and like more money than I've ever spent on anything, investing in my business. And yes, I absolutely felt like I was gonna puke.
I had, when I [00:04:00] thought about it, like saying yes and committing to it, I was filled with dread and like terror. Oh my god. But I knew it was what I wanted. And so this is what happens, right? This is what I see happening. And when I think back to myself when I used to be all on board for the whole body, yes.
by the way, I feel like we wanna get on board with the the full body. Yes. Because. Especially as women, it's like, yeah, like I'm letting my body call the shots. You know, I'm all on board. I'm gonna make sure my body is saying yes to this before I commit. Like that kind of, that kind of power, that kind of control and ownership is probably not something we've all had a hundred percent of the time.
Right? So there came a real, I don't wanna say romanticizing of the idea. But I definitely wanted to be on board with like, if it's not a full body, yes, it's a no. So yeah, I used to definitely feel that way, but here's what happens [00:05:00] when you are starting to dip your toe into something that you want, but it is in new territory.
It is maybe doing something different, something new, and yeah, like it's unfamiliar to you. If it is something in that kind of area, chances are it's going to be growing you. Right? When I think about business, if I'm still doing the same things and I wanna be getting different results, I need to then go in, stretch myself out of my comfort zone, right?
Because I wanna be doing different things if I keep doing the same things. Expecting better results. Like isn't that the, the definition of insanity, by the way? right. So what I'm saying here is if you want to create different results, you've gotta go into unfamiliar territory. ' cause if you're doing what you are already doing in familiar territory, in your comfort zone, chances are you're just gonna get the same results, right.
Which is fine if you are like [00:06:00] totally happy exactly where you are. I think back to my early postpartum seasons with my three babes and being exactly where I was, felt perfect and nurturing and so wonderful, and I'm so glad I did that. But if you are thinking like I actually wanna create different results in my business.
I wanna make more money, I wanna sign more clients, I wanna feel more of a leader. I want to feel more confident. I wanna create different results. Then what's gonna happen is you're going to need to stretch yourself and step into new unfamiliar territory. And what happens there is your nervous system, your body, your felt sense in your body is going to feel really uncomfortable.
Yeah, this is like survival, like survival 1 0 1, right? Our reptilian brain. That reptilian part of our brain says, this is unfamiliar territory. There could be danger here. Don't go there. Right? And so [00:07:00] therefore, when our brain tells our body that our body will do anything, that it can make you feel so uncomfortable that you don't go into that unfamiliar territory, right.
And chances are your brain is probably also firing off at you a whole, like a thousand reasons why you shouldn't go into this unfamiliar territory. Yeah. But the thing is, if you like what's there, if you want what's there, you have to go through that. Right? And so the only way to agree to going there is to say yes to that.
You can't say yes to that if your only criteria is a full body. Yes. And you have your body that's freaking out a little bit and your brain that's wigging out a little bit, right? Like, oh my God, don't do that. That's a bad idea. Like there could be danger. Let's stay here where it's comfortable and familiar and safe.
Let's not go there, right? I hope. Look, you can probably all see my terrible now polished job. I'm a bit embarrassed by it, and every [00:08:00] day I am like, right, I'm gonna go and get my nails done today. I don't normally get them done, but I'm gonna start putting like that bio gel in them just for fun so I don't have to keep repainting and every day I don't go and get my nails done, and I still have pieces of shitty nail polish nails.
So yeah, I'm, I'm not gonna hide them anymore. That's just the way they are. Okay. So anyway, just a quick detour as I caught my.
The only way to say yes to going to create different results is to create, is to step into different unfamiliar territory. And chances are your whole body is not gonna be in agreeance with you. It is not gonna be a full body. Yes. If it is a full body, yes, you are staying in your comfort zone. If it is a full body, yes, you are not stretching yourself.
You are not going into unfamiliar or different territory or doing something new, right? Which chances are, that's fine if you don't wanna create different results. And it's fine for, you know, those everyday kind of decisions. Like, am I gonna have cake or no cake? what else was an example? I've, I've talked about this to my mailing list.[00:09:00]
Cake or no cake or like going out or not going out or like, go for a surf. Don't go for a surf. I did go for a surf today and it was so great. Anyway, so a full body yes is great for those kind of questions, those everyday questions where you are not going to be, to be creating like huge transformative shifts.
I'm all for the whole body. Yes. The full body, yes. For those kind of questions. I'm no longer on board with having to have my whole body on board when I'm making decisions that are stretching me. 'cause the decisions that are stretching me, they feel a little bit, they, they make me feel a little bit terrified.
They make me feel a little bit like I'm gonna spew and they gimme sweaty palms and a beating heart rate, right? Again, this is like our body's neurology saying, don't go into that unfamiliar territory. You don't know what's there. but your heart, your desire, that part within you, that woman, that, that leader within you who knows what she [00:10:00] wants.
She's like, I wanna go to that unfamiliar territory because I like what's there. And you won't be able to get yourself there if your criteria is waiting for that full body. Yes. the full body Yes. Will not arrive if you are going into unfamiliar territory.

Regan: But yeah, so for me it has definitely been a journey of differentiating desire and having my full body on board. but ultimately, if you are waiting for a full body, yes.
For those decisions that are going to take you into. Big transformations that are going to stretch you outside of your comfort zone that are gonna have you do and learn and experience new things, then please don't wait for the full body. Yes, please don't wait for the full body. Yes. If we wait for the full body, [00:12:00] yes, chances are we won't be growing.
We won't be doing new things. We won't be doing anything differently. I thought about this again in the surf today 'cause this, this conversation has been on my mind. I was thinking this morning there was a guy who was in the car park when I pulled up to get, go out for a surf.
he used to live up the road from me and the beaches at the other end of the beach, and he was like, oh, so good to see you finally getting out, you know, living so close to the beach. Like, so good to see that you're finally getting out on a surfboard and going to the beach and going for a surf. And I was like, yeah.
And then I thought about it and I was like, why, why am I now surfing at 37? I lived literally 10 houses from the beach. Why didn't I surf? And I remembered a couple of times when I had, I remember a couple of times when I had attempted, I was terrified. And even when I was a bit older and I had, you know, my now hubby who was helping me to be a, a very unofficial surf coach, there were a couple of times when there would be a big set coming and I had to get out the back.
I [00:13:00] swear I don't, I'm not not sure if I've had panic attacks before if these were panic attacks, but I, it felt like someone was strangling me. It felt like my wetsuit was choking me, and I was like, hyper hyperventilating on the way out the back, like seeing these big waves come, and that is why I'm like, shit.
I, I was like, this feels so uncomfortable. I'm not gonna keep trying to learn to surf because this is terrifying. Yeah, number one, surf coach helps. Absolutely. I think if I was younger and I had someone take me under their wing and help me as a surf coach, that would've been a lot more helpful. but yeah, I was waiting to feel comfortable to do the thing and I'm so bummed that I have missed out on like 30 or so years of surfing because I absolutely love it.
It is so fun. It's amazing. And. Yeah. it was just another piece of evidence to remind me that if we wait for a full body yes, like that is such a disservice to ourself as [00:14:00] humans who can grow and learn new things and increase our capacity and be safe doing new things. So yeah, please don't wait for the full body.
Yes, you could be waiting over 30 years before you get on that surfboard, right? You could wait a whole lifetime and think like, oh, why didn't I just try that? Chances are it's probably gonna be terrifying. Chances are you might have times where you're gonna make that decision to work with a coach. You can come work with me, have a ha send me a dm.
If you wanna have a conversation about working with me, I'm gonna pull over here before my wifi. Uh, the reception runs out, we're going to bush. yeah. So chances are you will feel sick, you'll feel terrified. There'll be moments where you do have the sweaty palms and the racing heart, and that doesn't mean that it's the wrong decision for you.
That means you're going into unfamiliar territory. That means you're choosing something different and something new. And chances are that means you're giving yourself an opportunity for growth and creating different, newer, perhaps, better results for yourself. Braddy said no questions, but love. This makes so much sense and [00:15:00] one collective key.
Love this. How do you know if it's right when you're not in your comfort zone? Full body, yes, is helpful for the everyday tasks, but for those big things, how do you follow what's right, Simone? So I would start small, Simone. So I would start by like knowing what it is you desire, like on a really like small level.
So when you wake up in the morning and you go to make your breakfast, like ask your body, do I want eggs? Do I want yogurt? And like tuning into that feeling when your body goes, oh yeah, I want eggs. Right? Knowing what that feels like, and then it's like, oh, okay, I was gonna do this with the kids today, but the winds picked up.
It looks horrible. I don't really want to take them wherever I was gonna, and yeah, you're probably gonna wanna make it a bad, a bad thing so that you don't let yourself have what you want. I think for most of us, we've probably spent a lifetime not letting ourselves have what we want. so it is often a readjustment to tuning in with what we [00:16:00] want.
So yeah, start small in your comfort zone. Work out what your yes feels like, and then know you. Then you will know what your yes feels like for those bigger things and you will be able to tune in and go like, ah, okay. It's my body like freaking out right now. This is one of the things I love so much about coaching.
Is like helping my clients identify like, huh, okay, here your brain is doing the thing where it's giving you all of these reasons not to do it because you're choosing a different unfamiliar path. Oh look, here is your, like, this is what happens here is our body now having a freak out trying to keep us like out of danger and our body does this by making us so uncomfortable to move in that direction.
We just keep ourselves away from it. Right. I have a practice I use with my clients. It's a process by which we tune into what that uncomfortable feeling is, what it shows up, what it represents in our body, and how we can get past that to get to the other side, to create the results that we wanna create in our business.
So, yeah, come and talk to me if you wanna talk coaching, because [00:17:00] I have spaces open right now. I've got a week off. Next week. I'm taking myself for a quarterly break. Every quarter I take a week off my business and just do as I please. And yeah, other than that, let's book in a consult call with me. It's a 60 minute consult to see what you desire when it comes to coaching with me or not.
And we'll get, we'll help, I'll help you get clear on what your decision is, on, what your reasons are for against, and help you leave that call feeling so happy with your decision, whether it's a yes or a no. So if you've wanted to. Build your business. Grow your business, call in more clients, make more money.
Create those mul multiple four and five figure months, and do it with a life filled with pleasure. I am your girl. Send me a message and say, I wanna come and explore coaching with you. All right, I'm gonna wrap it up there. Oh, hello. Thank you for joining me. We're just about to wrap up, so I'll finish up so you can go and catch the replay.
All right, my loves. Write a word pleasure [00:18:00] below if you wanna learn more about what we've talked about on this call, and I will DM you whether that is coaching with me, whether that is my book, whether that is just having a discussion about working out what it is we desire and the full body. Yes. Alrighty.
Bye. My loves see ya.
