Music that has a solid Christian message wrapped in a contemporary music package has become instrumental in attracting new and younger Jesus followers. With it's early roots in the 70's and 80's contemporary Christian music has become a 90's and 2000's staple for churches, and radio stations. Christian Radio stations that once barely showed up in audience ratings have become a contender for top ratings in most cities around the country.
