Hi everyone, and welcome back to another episode of the Internet Wellbeing Podcast. Today we're going to talk about how to improve your reading habit no matter what your current level is. So let's go.

It doesn't matter if you are beginner reader who reads one to five books there or advanced. Who reads more than 20, there are always way to improve. So I'm going to share tips and advices to how to find books you love and how to make reading a habit and how to become faster and more efficient reader.

So whether you are someone who wants to start reading more, or someone who wants to take their reading to the next level, this episode is for you. So grab your book and let's get started. Now. First, let's talk about the beginner level. A person who reads one to five books here. If this sounds like you, you may often start a book but not finish it and feel bad about not reading more.

At this level, the key is to read what you love until you love to read. This means finding books that interest you and not feeling guilty about not finish every book you. Remember, the goal is to become a reader. In my case, biography took a big part in my reading development because I was just curious about other people lives.

Then one book leads to another one, and I wasn't reading a biography anymore. Let's move on to the intermediate level. A person reading six to 15 books. If you're at this level, you have a reading habit and consider yourself as a good reader. You are likely choosing your next book very wisely and 3d, one book at a time.

A tip for you is to try reading a few books at once. This way when you get tired of one book, you can switch to another and remember, it's okay not to finish a book. You can always come back to it in the future. Another tip, if you came across something you've already read somewhere else, you can skip this part or just look through it.

For example, I read few times story about the British cycling. And marginal games in productivity books. And if I see this topic in another book, I'm just keeping it and going on. Another piece of advice, if you find interesting book, don't hesitate and buy. It doesn't matter if it's physical or digital.

Copy. Other way is to make a reading list, but from my experience, books, I've already have wins overdose from the reading list. You can easily forget about those interesting books. Finally, let's talk about the advanced level. It is a person who reads 20 or more books a year. At this level, you are a pro.

That was my proposition of the free levels of reading. If you find yourself on one of those level, you can get easily piece of advice. From there, I also have some tips to help you improve even more, which are more technical. First tip is to read without your inner voice. It's a little bit unintuitive, but you have to try to experience it.

You can already do this without realizing. For example, when you are reading a left side of the book and take a quick look at the right page to skip some action, and you know what happened next in the book without your inner voice. It's weird at the beginning, but you can easily get used to it. Second technique is to reading with your finger or a pencil pointing at the word.

Your eyes are not perfect, and thanks to that you can get distracted very easily when you don't have some kind of pointer. In my opinion, this tip is very useful when trying to read without your inner voice because finger is separate from your inner voice. And when you moving your finger, you don't have much time to think.

Last technique is keeping the beginning and the end of the page. Another trick with your eyes, and I'm going to tell you why. Our eyes can see more than one spot. We are looking at the certain moment. Thanks to this, we don't really have to read a line of text from start to finish when trying this tip.

You can draw two lines just a little bit after the text start and second one just before the text ends, and you will just read the text between the lines. As I said before, it's a little bit weird, but it's one of those speed reading technic. Those three tips are a little bit strange at the beginning, but give them a try.

You can do it on some kind of easy, novel, not necessary biology textbook. But after, sometimes you can see a great result, especially when using these free techniques combined. In conclusion, reading is an important habit to develop no matter what your current level is from the beginner who reads one to five books a year.

To the advanced reader who reads 20 or more books, air, there's always room for improvement. And remember to read what you love until you love to read. Try reading a few books at advance and don't be afraid to not finish a book. And for advanced three. Try the technical tips we discussed, like reading without your inner voice, using your finger or a pencil to point at the words, or skipping the beginning and the end of the page.

I hope that this episode has provided you with some valuable tips and insights on how to improve your reading habit. If you're looking to improve your reading, don't hesitate to really listen to this episode and take notes. Remember that the key to become a better reader is to enjoy the process and to be consistent.

Happy reading. Bye.
