Show Notes

Jason Sapp is a retired Army sergeant and Iraq war combat veteran (03-04 &0607), now a Certified Professional Life Coach, Jason guides people to more holistic, alternative resources to wellness with a focus on those that have struggled with physical, emotional and spiritual trauma, faltering relationships, abuse, anxiousness and stress. Jason also coaches others in business & entrepreneurship as well as marriage & relationships. Jason learned how to face and then eliminate the darkness he acquired from childhood abuse and during his years in the service.

Through his transitional coaching programs, he’s talking the talk after having walked a very long walk back to a healthy, happier life as father, husband, son and friend. His aim is to give people solid tools, tips and techniques to move into the future with a renewed sense of hope to achieve their goals and dreams.

Jason earned a B.S. in Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University. He is the author of Fortitude, Rising Out of the Trenches of Trauma into a Life Free from Fear, Pain, Shame and Suicidal Thoughts, Journal to Freedom and he coauthored the book The Miracle of Essential Oils, Harnessing the Power of Botanicals to Ease Physical, Emotional and Psychological Trauma with Ryan Watson, M.Ed. One of my goals on The Work IN is to try to use these conversations to help normalize the experience of trauma so that people don’t feel so alone and so that when we encounter someone in a traumatized state we can hold space for them and extend some grace, maybe even savage grace.

My guest today is a beautiful example of using his own experience to help others.
