Nate Dern is the lead writer of 1047 Games, the indie video game developer that makes Splitgate, a sci-fi arena shooter with portals. Nate’s book “Not Quite a Genius” is a collection of comedy essays and stories that The New York Times called “very thoughtful, smart and funny.” Here are some other jobs he’s had: Staff Writer for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Head Creative of Comedy Central’s Creators Program, Senior Writer at Funny Or Die, and Artistic Director of the UCB Theatre. His freelance writing has appeared in the New Yorker, Outside Magazine, The Atlantic, The New York Times, McSweeney’s, Vice, New York Magazine, and elsewhere.
