Put Not Your Trust In Princes

Greetings in the name of Jesus! This is Rob Haymes. This is 15 Minutes With Jesus. Wherever two or three are gathered together in My name, Jesus said, there am I in the midst of them. To those of you who love Him in truth: mercy unto you and peace and love be multiplied, Amen.

Thank you Lord! We give you thanks! Father, we thank You for this day; thank You for everyone reading this message. We pray that You would bless every one of us to understand what the Holy Spirit is saying. Thank You Lord. Today’s program is called, Put Not Your Trust In Princes. Let’s read Psalm 146,  Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! While I live I will praise the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. Do not put your trust in princes, nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; in that very day his plans perish. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God, Who made Heaven and Earth, the sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever, Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners. The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous. The Lord watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow; but the way of the wicked He turns upside down. The Lord shall reign forever—your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the Lord! Verse 3, in the King James Version says, Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God: Which made Heaven, and Earth, the sea, and all that therein is: Which keepeth truth for ever…

Let’s turn to 2 Chron 7:12, Then the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. This was after Solomon completed building the Temple and they dedicated the Temple, and Solomon prayed. God came to him that night and said this to him: When I shut up Heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.  I want to give testimony here of what God said to me in 2020, at the end of March, when Covid was breaking out in America. My wife and I were in the hospital for an unrelated reason, and one morning God spoke to me and He said, I have put this in the Earth. God told me that He put Covid in the Earth, and I just want to refer you back to 2 Chron 7:13, where God said, if I send pestilence… and that’s what Covid was. He said, I put this in the Earth, and I am watching My people to see if they will humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways and seek My face, and that’s all He said to me. So, people of God in America, what happened in 2020? Did we humble ourselves and seek the Lord, or did we trust in a man? This is the year, now, 2024, of the presidential election in America. The candidates are making promises, seeking your support. Some are making big promises of what they will be able to do, if elected, to save our country from destruction. But there is only one hope for America and the people of this world, and it rests in the hearts of God’s people: the people who are called by His name. As we just read in 2 Chronicles, if His people that are called by His name will humble themselves and pray, and seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways, then, and only then, will He hear from Heaven, and He will forgive our sins, and He will heal our land. God does not change. If His people will do this, He will do what He has promised. Will we do this? Or will we continue to trust in a man? The heart of the king, the Bible says, is in the hands of the Lord. As the rivers of water, He turns it whatever way He wills. It does not matter much what men promise to do. God puts down one, and He sets up another. Whoever the next president of the United States will be, God will cause him to do according to His will. That is why it is so important that we pray, as believers in Jesus Christ, for our country and for our leaders. The Apostle Paul said to Timothy in 1 Tim 2:1, Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time… So, as I was saying, it does not matter much what men promise to do. God puts down one and He sets up another. Whoever the next president will be, God will cause him to do according to His will. That is why it is so important that we pray for our country and for our leaders. If we will do this; if we will do as it is written in 2 Chronicles, and truly humble ourselves and pray and turn from our wickedness, God will respond. However, if we put our trust in a man or a woman to save our country, then we will not be seeking God as we need to be; we will not be trusting in Him, and we will be sadly disappointed with the outcome. Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. A man or a woman will only be able to do what God enables them to do to help our nation and the world in this hour. We better humble ourselves in this hour and look only to our Savior: the One who gave His life for us upon the Cross; the One who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own Blood to purify unto Himself His own special people.

Church! We need to come back to Jesus!, to our risen Savior!, in humility and truth and turn from our wicked ways while there is still hope for a better future in the Earth. I’m reminded of when Jesus came to Jerusalem, just before He was crucified, and as He looked upon the city, He wept over it, and He said, O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! This is our hour, America; people of God in America, what will we do? Will we fast and pray for Her; will we turn from our wicked ways and seek God’s face with all our hearts? Or will we continue to hope in what a man can do for us?

Let’s turn to 1 Sam 12:6, Then Samuel said to the people, It is the Lord who raised up Moses and Aaron, and who brought your fathers up from the land of Egypt. Now therefore, stand still, that I may reason with you before the Lord concerning all the righteous acts of the Lord which He did to you and your fathers: When Jacob had gone into Egypt, and your fathers cried out to the Lord, then the Lord sent Moses and Aaron, who brought your fathers out of Egypt and made them dwell in this place. And when they forgot the Lord their God, He sold them into the hand of Sisera, commander of the army of Hazor, into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the king of Moab; and they fought against them. Then they cried out to the Lord, and said, We have sinned, because we have forsaken the Lord and served the Baals and Ashtoreths; but now deliver us from the hand of our enemies, and we will serve You. And the Lord sent Jerubbaal, Bedan, Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered you out of the hand of your enemies on every side; and you dwelt in safety. And when you saw that Nahash king of the Ammonites came against you, you said to me, No, but a king shall reign over us, when the Lord your God was your King. Now therefore, here is the king whom you have chosen and whom you have desired. And take note, the Lord has set a king over you. If you fear the Lord and serve Him and obey His voice, and do not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then both you and the king who reigns over you will continue following the Lord your God. However, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord, but rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then the hand of the Lord will be against you, as it was against your fathers. Verse 19, And all the people said to Samuel, Pray for your servants to the Lord your God, that we may not die; for we have added to all our sins the evil of asking a king for ourselves. Then Samuel said to the people, Do not fear. You have done all this wickedness; yet do not turn aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart. And do not turn aside; for then you would go after empty things which cannot profit or deliver, for they are nothing. For the Lord will not forsake His people, for His great name's sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you His people. Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you; but I will teach you the good and the right way. Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you. But if you still do wickedly, you shall be swept away, both you and your king.

Interpretation of a message in tongues:

I am God Almighty. My people, hearken unto My voice; hearken unto My servant Rob this day, for I have sent him to warn you this day: Look only unto Me! Look only to My Son Jesus!, the One who gave Himself for your sins; suffered for you; rose from the dead. He is your King! Look unto Me; look unto Him. Trust in Me with all your heart!, not in any man or any woman!, and you will find mercy in My sight, says the Lord.
