The Plant Medicine For PTSD Podcast
The Way Broadly Archive - 48. Adam Fontana, Doctor of Musical Arts
Adam is a Doctor of Musical Arts, symphony conductor, jiu jitsu blue belt, and professor at SUNY New Paltz with a 100% rating on ratemyprofessors.com
Adam is tremendously dedicated to jiu jitsu, driving several hours just to be able to train and take lessons with the best instructors possible. This has led to him making remarkable progress, going from me armbarring him multiple times a day to achieving the same belt rank as me since I moved to Mexico. And that truly bothers me. I can't wait to go back home and submit him again.
Also, Adam recently gave a presentation to his peers at a conference for the National Association of College Band Directors where he blatantly ripped off the name of my podcast as he drew parallels between training jiu jitsu and conducting a symphony. And I think that's beautiful.
Thanks again for listening!
