The Plant Medicine For PTSD Podcast
13. Mark Herrmann - From Fire Fighter & EMT To Plant Medicine Activist & Facilitator
In this episode, I’m joined by Mark Herrmann — retired firefighter, ketamine clinic staffer, psychedelic advocate, and someone who’s clearly done the work.
Mark’s path started like a lot of ours do - with childhood wounds that never really healed, but were covered over to allow him to function in his high-stress job. From the loss of his dad at a young age to decades of trauma absorbed on the job as a firefighter and EMT, Mark spent most of his life trying to keep it together... until tragedy striking close to home caused him to start to unravel.
But that's also what spurred on his healing with plant medicine - including a trip with us down to the jungle of Peru, going through out Mindful Microdosing Program for integration, and much more.
Mark now works with Inlighten Wellness Ketamine Clinic
in Scottsdale, AZ, volunteers with both Citizens for Psilocybin and the Scottsdale Research Institute to help move the needle for psychedelic access and education at the state level, and provides his own coaching, which you can learn more about here.
Thanks again for listening!
