(Nicholas Mazzio and Lauren Mazzio - The Rain)
Isaiah 41:17 When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour My Spirit upon thy seed, and My blessing upon thine offspring. Joel 2:23, 28 Rejoice in the Lord your God: for He hath given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain...and it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My spirit upon all flesh, and they shall prophesy. Acts 2:17

But I would not have you to be ignorant
Concerning them that are asleep
That ye sorrow not as others
Which have no hope for if we believe
That Jesus died and rose again
Even them also which sleep in Jesus
God will bring with Him
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord
That we which are alive and remain
Until the coming of the Lord
Shall not prevent them which are asleep
For the Lord Himself shall descend
From heaven with a shout
With the voice of the archangel
And the trump of God
And the dead in Christ shall rise first
And then we which are alive and remain
Shall be caught up together in the clouds with them
To meet the Lord in the air
And so shall we ever be with the Lord
Wherefore comfort ye one another
With these words
He sleeps in Jesus, peaceful rest
No mortal strife invades his breast
No sin, no pain, no woe, or care
Can reach the silent slumber there
He lived his Savior to adore
And meekly all his sufferings bore
He loved and all resigned to God
Nor murmured at His chastening rod
“Does the Earth attract thee here?”
The people cried
The dying Christian thus replied,
While pointing upward to the sky
“My treasure’s laid up on high!”
He sleeps in Jesus soon to rise
When the last trump shall rend the skies
Then burst the fetters of the tomb
To awake in full immortal bloom
He sleeps in Jesus, cease thy grief!
Let this one afford thee sweet relief
That freed from death’s triumphant reign
In heaven will he live again
He sleeps in Jesus, blessed sleep
From which none ever wake to weep
With a calm and undisturbed repose
Unbroken by the last of foes
He sleeps in Jesus, peaceful rest
No mortal strife invades his breast
No sin, no pain, no woe or care
Can reach the silent slumber there
He sleeps in Jesus, blessed sleep
From which none ever wake to weep
He sleeps in Jesus
About Us:
This world is a dry and weary land.
All around us are people dying for a drink of fresh, new life.
In the Bible, drought and famine were used as a symbol of the lack or withdrawal of God's blessing.
Like the prodigal son and the lost sheep, we have all chosen to leave the safety and security of God's love and favor, enticed by our own
