Growing into that space that the facade has for so many years protected-that facade is now being torn down-much to the dismay of those who had an integral part in creating it.
There is no intent to diminish the personally held thoughts of others. There is no intent to create personal chaos within myself nor for others.
Jagged Edge
was composed when I sat and held a very nice conversation with a cousin that I truly adore. I shared some information regarding my personal journey that identified personal struggles. When I did, it's as if I could see the luster somewhat diminish from her eyes as it relates to me. NO, NOT in a negative way-it was more disappointment.
She even stated as much.
It is imperative that we walk this journey with integrity-even it sometimes creates that same "air of disappointment" as I created for my cousin.
TRUST ME... whomever it affects will love you abundantly more if they feel that you trust them with such a sensitive part of your life.
