Returning to Us
To help people who help people, the organization needs to be healthy and have practices in place that consider the trauma of those they serve. Lauren Spigelmyer and Jessica Doering have helped thousands of people who help people all over the world. Each week they'll explore tools, insights, and stories to help you lead and live with more clarity, calm, and connection. If you’re looking for support as you grow your organization’s capacity for caring for staff and the community, we would love to be part of that journey.

The terms "self care" and "stress management" are overused terms these days, but what do they really mean? Making the time to take care of yourself and your needs shows respect for yourself and your body and sends a message to those around you.
"When you start with yourself on the inside and address things that need to be healed and neutralized, it radiates outward."
In this episode, Lauren walks through the big 5 areas of self care and gives tips for creating routines that incorporate healthy behaviors into your life. Plus, she'll walk you through creating your self care flower as a reminder of your goals.
Lauren answers this week’s listener question during the episode: Struggling with talking back (specifically when related to cleaning up).
Try-at-home tip: Take the [physical] steps. Use the stairs whenever you have the chance!
