As the host of Between Meetings, an on-the-go interview series spotlighting industry leaders and founders, Marian Danko brings his passion for storytelling and community-building to Calgary’s innovation scene. He also serves as Senior Venture Manager at Innovate Calgary, helping University of Calgary researchers and startup founders transform discoveries and innovative ideas into real-world impact through strategic partnerships and venture building.

Originally from Ukraine, with over a decade in China before moving to Canada, Marian has dedicated his career to empowering entrepreneurs. In Shanghai, he founded TECOM—an innovation event recognized by Forbes China—and launched Founders Breakfast, a weekly meetup fostering founder connections.

Now in Calgary, Marian champions collaboration and welcomes opportunities to connect around venture building, community growth, and early-stage startup support locally and globally.
