Pre-workout:

-Are simple carbs best (i.e. apple) for glycemic index/fast-acting access to energy? Or do we want a mixture of complex/simple? Or something else completely?
-In the general population; someone who lifts 3-4 times a week with a mixture of cardio machines and weights for the purposes of overall health and wellness...can you prescribe what a good pre-workout meal would be? (actual food examples and timeline leading into it)
-Thoughts on pre-workout drinks concerning the caffeine amount in these drinks.

Post-Workout:

-The old-school bodybuilder thought process was always; no fats, a mixture of complex/simple carbs, and lean meat/protein. (i.e. Protein shake, apple sauce, half of the turkey sandwich on wheat)...is this still the thought or is this antiquated and science says otherwise?
-Standard recommendations for the general population for post-workout meals.
-The science behind the recommendations
