Empowering Mental Wellness and Wellness | Breaking Silence | Embracing Self-Care
Welcome to and thats oook, the podcast where we break the silence around stress, mental health, health, and the everyday struggle to prioritize self-care. Through honest conversations, practical strategies, insights, and shared experiences, we’re building a supportive community committed to healing and growth. Our episodes include stories, shared experiences, and support to help you navigate life. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, unseen, or simply ready to care for yourself more deeply, this is your space. You’re not alone.
Over time, and thats oook has grown into something deeper. We’ve evolved, finding clarity in our mission and courage in our voice. That evolution is now reflected in how we structure the show.
Here’s how to navigate our episodes:
🔹 Season
These are part of the main season. They explore powerful themes like health, healing, and growth through deep conversations, reflections, and lessons that guide us forward.
🔹 Journey
These are special episodes—real stories from real people. In these episodes, someone opens up and shares their personal journey with us. They’re honest, human, and full of heart.
💛 Together, both types of episodes create something beautiful:
A season that teaches, a story that heals, and a path where your voice, your health, and your story truly matter.
🎧 What’s a Bonus Episode?
Hey there! Sometimes, we like to share extra-special episodes called Bonus Episodes. These aren’t part of our current season—they’re special stories and moments pulled from our andthatsoook archives.
Think of them like treasures from the past—a peek into the early days when this podcast was just getting started. You’ll hear real voices, powerful stories, and the building blocks of what makes this podcast what it is today.
They’re fun, thoughtful, and full of heart.
We’re bringing them back so new listeners (like you!) can enjoy the journey too.
🌀 Past meets present. Bonus episodes = extra gems.
Tap in and let’s go back to where it all began.
Listening to these is like opening a time capsule—imperfect, powerful, and still unfolding.
Whether you’re new here or have been with us since the beginning, thank you for being part of this journey. There’s a place for you here.

Nickie’s Journey: Menopause, Midlife, and Mental Health
Season of Renewal | Women’s Health in Focus
Building on the momentum of the previous episode, Balancing Act, we’re stepping into the next layer of that ever-evolving juggle with Nickie Haine. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Houston, Texas, Nickie wears many hats: therapist, wife, mom of three boys, and at 51, a woman in the thick of menopause. In her private practice, she works with women navigating that same midlife swirl—kids heading to college, aging parents, shifting relationships, and the internal reckoning that often hits when life refuses to slow down.
Despite her clinical expertise, Nickie doesn’t sugarcoat it this season has turned her inside out. And that’s exactly why she’s here. In this episode, she brings truth, heart, and a whole lot of lived experience to a conversation we need to have more often. Because the balancing act doesn’t stop, it just changes. And the more we say it out loud, the less alone we all feel.
This episode is part of our journeys series personal, story-driven episodes that highlight real people sharing their lived experiences in connection to our season theme, Women’s Health in Focus.
🎧 This is Nickie, and this is her journey.
