Hey everyone, jack Johnson here, franchise Insiders with your Franchise Inside Scoop for November 18th 2024. I've got a couple really interesting things for you guys today. First of all, I want to talk to you guys about figure home equity lines of credit. I did one of these and I am in no way endorsing them or affiliated with them, but I just want to share a cool experience because people are always asking about funding them or affiliated with them. But I just want to share a cool experience because people are always asking about funding Um and so I myself tried a figure home equity line of credit and um, we got it done in, like honestly, like two weeks it was done, um, maybe less and uh, really fast, all online. Didn't have to deal with anyone Uh, maybe there was like a quick phone call of some kind but like so user-friendly um, really enjoyed the process. So for those of you that are wondering about franchise financing um and thinking about tapping into equity of your home figure home equity line of credit, figurecom again, I'm not affiliated with them, um, but just really enjoyed the experience. It's really easy. You can do it all online. Um definitely worth looking at if you're thinking about funding your franchise and you're looking at SBA loans, 401k rollovers. The advantage of the figure home equity line of credit, if you have equity in your home, is that you can have the funds honestly, they say in as few as five days. I think for us it was about a two-week process, but pretty fast if you've got home equity, so worth checking out, okay.

This is a franchise and I think we may have brought it up in the past, but I want to come back to it because it feels very timely. It's Glow 30, your perfect facial every 30 days. They are looking for someone with a strong business acumen when we're talking about who the ideal franchisee is here and the ability to motivate and manage a team See, that is so key. When I talk about what makes a successful franchise owner, I always say you've got to have the ability to lead a team, to drive sales and make sure that you are getting providing a great customer service, great customer experience, and, of course, that's that's not. It's not last on the list, certainly not last, and they are hammering that right away. You've got to be passionate about personal care and have great customer service skills. Um, they're looking for a community influencer who seeks to develop multiple locations in their local area. Uh glow 30 was founded in 2012. They started franchising in 2022. They have two franchisees currently operating and five corporate owned locations. So they've got corporate stores, which is wonderful, which means they've proven their concept themselves before they rolled it out to franchise owners. It is not home-based, it is not absentee, it is semi let's call it involved, semi-involved. They say you need to have five employees on staff. It is not E2 visa friendly. Franchise fee is $45,000. We can save you two to $10,000 on this franchise, but you got to text us to find out how much. Uh, okay, royalties are 6%. Cash investment is half a million dollars. Total investment $600,000 is what they're saying on the high side and they want you to have a net worth of a million dollars. I mean again, folks, it's retail, so you definitely want to have more available for something like this. Um, and I would even say, if it's me $600,000 to build out a glow 30, I'd probably want to know I have access to a little bit more. But very unique love the recurring revenue side of glow 30. Just going to see if there's anything else here worth bringing up to you guys. Uh, the item 19 actually pretty, pretty good, pretty exciting item 19 that they have here. They show some, some nice locations Um, uh, so definitely this is different. It stands out Something to look into. Glow 30. Also just want to talk to you guys about a couple of observations over the past week as a franchise owner myself. Wow, you know what's so cool? I spend so much time talking to you guys about the hard right, about how, uh, it's hard to build a business, and it is. It's not easy, it's not for everyone, but, boy, when it starts to work and you start to grow and you start to see this thing really take off, I'll tell you, um, our pinks franchise is just getting into that space now where it's starting to go to the next level, where things are starting to get more predictable and, who knows, I mean, is it forever? I mean, gosh, we've been open eight months but we've kind of powered through our hard season right, hopefully our only hard season and now things are really starting to take off.

Speaker 1:

So I know I talk so much to you guys about how you've got to be patient and you've got to be able to power through the hard to build the easy. But, boy, once the business starts to take off, there's a couple of things that happen. One, it's fun to spend, you know, a portion of your day depositing checks for your business. Two, it's nice that a business that you own you don't have to do all the work. I'm not saying it's absentee, but I am saying I've got a great team that's out there hustling and building and look, the minute I say this, somebody is going to quit and we're going to hire someone new. I get that. But overall, the business is growing and we're excited and it's so fun to see it. And so for all of you out there that are franchise owners, just keep pushing through.

And for those of you that are exploring franchise ownership, know that if you power through the hard to get to the point where the business really starts to grow, it's more than just making money. It is so rewarding. It's rewarding to win, it's great to be a top performing franchise owner. People oftentimes ask me. They say I want to find my passion in a business. Oftentimes ask me, they say I want to find my passion in a business. I'm here to tell you that succeeding and growing a successful business, you, you will, you will fulfill your passion that way. It is exciting to see your team galvanized. It's exciting to be a successful franchisee I mean we own a window washing franchise, um and to see it grow, uh, the way that it has, and to be a part of that um has, and to be a part of that and to have the support of the franchise, that's it's. It's a wonderful feeling.

So, again, for all of you out there considering franchise ownership, just know that if you stick with it, if you follow the guidance of the franchise, or if you do the right amount of advertising, that's really key. By the way, always do more, always do more advertising. Whatever they tell you, the minimum is, don't just do that. If you're just going to do the minimum advertising, don't do it. You've got to really invest in your business and advertising is the lifeblood of your business.
