Hey, what's up everyone, it's Jack Johnson, back here with your Inside Scoop podcast for November 1st 2024. Just got done with my cold plunge, got done with my Wim Hof breathing, feeling very ready to talk to you guys about franchising and holy smokes. This has been a week. So we're going to kind of go over the franchises. For those of you that don't know, by the way, I'm a franchise consultant, my wife Jill going to kind of go over the franchises. For those of you that don't know, by the way, I'm a franchise consultant. My wife Jill and I own a company called the Franchise Insiders and we work with hundreds of different franchises, but we also are affiliated with hundreds of different franchise consultants. So every week we kind of get this report on which franchises people are buying. It's really cool. We get to see how the market's moving and I'm here to share it with you. So I'm going to tell you about the franchises that people have bought this week and we'll add a little color in as we go. But we're going to start off by talking about Voto Restoration, which is a cleaning and restoration franchise. Really good looking branding, great team behind it. Really like the folks at Voto Restoration. I think they're one of those companies that they're really doing it right. If you go to the we Bought a Franchise podcast that we have. We interviewed their CEO man maybe a few months ago, dan Klaps really good guy.
Speaker 1:Voda Restoration is Voda Cleaning and Restoration. They say it's a new level of franchise, a new level of clean and the industry's first and only cleaning and restoration franchise. So they say two franchises in one Carpet and floor cleaning services produces consistent and predictable revenue immediately, which drives brand awareness and leads for higher revenue. Insurance, paid restoration jobs Super cool. Franchise fee is $59,500. Royalties are 7% Total investment high side. You guys know if you listen to my podcast, we always go on the high side. Speaker 1:Closets sold again, again. Up closet is a closet uh improvement franchise. They design up closets to be something new and unique in the half century old custom closet industry. They're a lean to run and potentially profitable I like how they say potentially profitable home service business that runs with few employees, low overhead, highly effective and disruptive marketing and software that leverages the newest AI technology to design closets faster and more efficiently. Their franchise fee is $39,000. Their royalties are $750 to $1,650. Their cash investment is $40,000. Total investment on the high side is $110,000. And they want you to have a net worth of at least $50,000. That is UpClosets. And UpClosets was founded in 2022. They started franchising in 2022. They currently have 36 franchisees that are operating. They say this business is great for spousal teams, interior designers, realtors, mortgage brokers, home organizers, home stagers, great for young entrepreneurs, females and even veterans. So UpClosets this one again. I feel like I talk about it every single week. Upclosets is selling Next up on the list, that One Painter.
Speaker 1:That One Painter is from Resi Brands. I got to tell you I really love the sort of contractor model that that One Painter has. They say you elevate your future with a legacy building business. That One Painter was founded in 2011 by legendary CEO Stephen Montgomery. I added in the legendary Go to we Bought a Franchise Podcast to hear us interview Stephen Montgomery. He is awesome. They are one of the fastest growing, if not the fastest growing, painting franchises in the nation. That One Painter is a young and vibrant franchise focused on delivering happiness to their customers and unmatched value to their franchisees. That One Painter is designed for owner operators and also designed for people that want to scale up a larger business and manage a team. Their franchise fee $59,000. Royalties are 6%. Total investment for a single unit $42,000. And they want you to have a net worth of $75,000. They started franchising in 2021, and they currently have 229 franchises that are operating. This was last updated in October. I think they have more than that now. Anyways, resi Brands is. I own a Resi Brands franchise called Pinks and we're going to talk about Pinks in a minute. Speaker 1:This is a new one. End zone sports offers three profit centers, including their end zone junior program for ages two to five, where a coach is sent to preschools an hour a week to introduce children to four core sports and three optional sports. This model is extremely profitable, with margins from 40 to 70%. They offer youth sports leagues for ages five to 16, generally 200 to 600 children per league and parents pay $175 for an eight-week season. Owners take three to four weeks off before the next eight-week season. Four seasons per year per location. They have really good margins. They help find fields for the franchise owners for the four core sports. They even have adult sports leagues. That's their newest introduction for people aged 24 plus. I'm glad they didn't put a cap on that so someone like me could play too with a variety of sports, including flag football, basketball, pickleball, kickball, softball and more.
Speaker 1:I'm looking at this now. One of their top franchise owners started his end zone sports franchise part-time while working his corporate job and he now has over 30 preschools with over 1200 kids and parents paying $60 a month with again they state very, very low, very high margins. I should say they started franchising in 2010. They were founded in 2010, and they have 56 franchisees that are currently operating. Franchise fee is $39,750. Royalties are 8%. Cash investment $50,000. Total investment $54,750. They want you to have a net worth of $50,000. Again, we can save you $2,000 to $10,000 on Endzone sports of America. Speaker 1:Pink's window services. I own this franchise and I love it. Jill and I own a Pink's window services franchise. This is something I want to talk to you guys about. Jill and I run our pinks from home. We have a team, we've got a GM and we've got techs. They're out working jobs right now, but this is a business that is easy to run from home and for a lot of you out there.
Speaker 1:I know that a hot button is not wanting to go back to the office. I know there's a big push for corporate America sending people back to the office. Speaker 1:Generally speaking, I'm downstairs at five o'clock, able to start making dinner and spending time with the family. That's what I want to do. But what I will say as a franchise owner and a business owner is is that your mind's always on your business and that's different than it is for work. You know, it's like if I have to take a phone call during dinner, let's say, and it's a client, it doesn't feel like you know a last second work assignment. It's, there's something to it. When you're building something, when you're building a business, it just feels different, it hits different and to me it's. It's just when it's your business and you're growing it and you control it. It allows for so much more just freedom. It just doesn't feel like work anymore. It really doesn't. Okay, back to Pinks.
Speaker 1:Pinks is window cleaning, pinks is power washing. We actually just piloted the first sort of full-blown power washing van for Pinks, which has been super cool and I'm glad we did, because it's enabled us to capture bigger jobs. So we do window cleaning, power washing, gutter cleaning, fixture cleaning, you know, things like chandeliers and lights. It's a really cool business. The uniforms are awesome looking. This is the more I spend time with it.
Speaker 1:If branding is your thing, if having a cool brand is sort of your jam, then P's would be something to look at. I mean, we've got a Netflix show. I think we were featured on a Netflix movie. Actually it's just a different thing. We've been really happy with it. We've got a merch page. Our uniforms are killer. They look great.
Speaker 1:So the whole experience of owning a Pink's franchise has been really exciting for us, jill and I are glad we did it. It's growing. As I've mentioned on previous podcasts, we set a record for franchisee revenue last month. I'm sure someone will break it soon, but we've got our sights set on the original office. But you see what I mean.
Speaker 1:It's that kind of thing that a good business brings into your life where it makes you want to go out and compete, makes you want to go out and win, brings into your life where it makes you want to go out and compete, makes you want to go out and win, and that's what being a franchise consultant. Speaker 1:Holy smokes, you guys. People are buying Naturals to Go vending machines like nothing I've ever seen. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Looks like 11. Wow, People are buying these Naturals to Go vending machines. So Naturals to Go is a comprehensive program offering healthy snacks and beverages utilizing the latest technology in unattended retail, better known as vending. So they say this is an easily scalable business. No employees required, no franchise fees, so no franchise fee. They say the cash investment's 20 grand. Again, that must be if you're doing an SBA loan. They are SBA approved. They say total investment's 230,000. They want you to have a net worth of 150,000. So because it's a vending machine, this does not qualify for our rebate program. Just full disclosure, you guys.

We do have clients that have some of these in their portfolio and are very happy with them. So they say what am I looking at here? They were founded in 1988. They franchised originally in 2010. They have 1,600 plus owners, no corporate locations, 36 years in the vending industry, longest running vending company that is SBA approved since 2014. I'm going to trust them on that statement. And they have 120 plus employees supporting owner operators. I like that. I like that they're saying that, that they're sharing that, and 50% of the employees are owner operators or have been in the past. Majority of owners reorder additional machines after initial purchase. Again, you guys would have to validate that. You'd have to talk to their franchise owners and see if that's, or their vending owners and see if that's the case. Us markets are available, everything except for Minnesota and North Dallas, texas. Webuyuglyhousescom, otherwise known as HomeVestor, sold this week. Healthy you Vending sold this week. There's another company called we Teach People how to Flip Cheap Houses sold this week and Five Star Painting sold this week. So Five Star is Neighborly's painting franchise. Neighborly is it's like Rezzy right, it's a whole other group of. They have their own group of franchises and people like Neighborly because Neighborly's been around a really long time. So, for example, five Star Painting started franchising in 2007. They were founded in 2007 and they have 167 units operating Again, like that one painter, you can run this business from home.
Speaker 1:You want to build a home, an empire, from home, like jill and I are doing. Definitely. This is one five-star painting that you could do.
