Hi everyone, welcome back to the Inside Scoop podcast. I'm Jack Johnson, here with you on Monday, december 9th 2024. Sorry, I've been kind of MIA recently. We have been traveling like crazy this holiday season. We were out of the country for a good part of a week and then we were in Disney World last week and then seeing family over the weekend.
Speaker 1:You want to know what me, as a business owner, my favorite thing about being a business owner is. Friday we went to to Virginia to go see my mom for the last second thing. We can do it. There's no calling in sick, there's no asking a boss for permission. Me and Jill we make that call. Right, son's got good grades, so he was at think about this week after Thanksgiving. He's at Disney, he's got good grades and we can make the call. Let's go, let's spend, let's spend a week and we can. We can run our business from wherever we are. I mean, I was running payroll on Saturday morning at a hotel in Virginia beach looking at the beautiful we had this room. It was at a beautiful view of the ocean. It was like 30 degrees, it was freezing. But here I am running payroll for my franchise and I don't know. It's just, it's so cool to be able to run businesses from anywhere. I'm not telling you that it's easy. Street Running a business is hard.
Speaker 1:You're going to think a lot about it constantly. You're going to have to make decisions. You're going to have to invest more money than you thought you would. That's normal. That's what you got to do. You've got to grow the business. You have to do whatever it takes and you have to choose your heart.
Speaker 1:Working for someone else is hard. Owning and running a business is hard. I like the version of hard where I can take my son to school every day, I can make his breakfast and spend time with him, I can pick him up and we can go to dinner at six o'clock. I'm not going to be stuck on the road. You know traveling for someone else. I get to make those calls. I get to run my company from home. That's what I love about business ownership. Do I still have those moments in the middle of the night where I'm thinking about my business, where I'm worried about hiring A hundred percent? I mean, as a franchise owner, I'm always hiring.
Speaker 1:Now the franchise I own Pink's Windows. I've got a great team in place, great GM in place, but I'm constantly thinking about the business, constantly monitoring cash flow. But I'm constantly thinking about the business, constantly monitoring cashflow. But I'm happy to say we've had the top performing franchise over the past two months. So when you work with a franchise consultant, when you work with me, you're going to work with someone that knows how to win. We've had a top performing franchise consulting firm for years and years and years. Very few franchise consultants can do high volume business. We can because we know how to help people and we know how to coach people to perform at a high level. And here we are, eight months into our pinks windows franchise and I've been told we've been the leading franchisee in terms of revenue over the past two months.
Speaker 1:So if you want my secrets on having a high performing franchise, text me at 305-710-0050. I will give you the scoop that you need. And sometimes that scoop might be hey, business ownership isn't for you. But that's what I'm here to do Teach people about business ownership, how to do it right, lessons I've learned from other high performers and lessons I've learned from people that have not succeeded. We've seen it all and I'd love to help you explore it.
Speaker 1:So let's get back to what the Franchise Insiders Inside Scoop podcast is all about, which is a franchise market watch, and here's what's been happening. Amada Senior Care sold last week. American Business Systems sold last week. So Amada Senior Care, these Senior Care franchises, I've told you they're fabulous. We talked about Homewell Senior Care. Incidentally, they sold two locations or two new franchises. Homewell's awesome and they've got that option where you can start with five grand and, by the way, I didn't talk about it last week, we can save you two to 10 K on Homewell. But you got to text us to find out. As far as Amada goes, amada is another great home care company Amada is. What I like about them is they have this step-by-step-by-step-by-step program for new franchisees. Like it is so detailed and they are really geared more towards someone that is a very successful, sales-minded individual.
Speaker 1:Amada Home Care has got a killer item 19. And what is an item 19? Well, an item 19 shows you revenue information for franchises. It shows you what other franchise locations or pilot corporate locations are doing, so you can start to get an idea of what the financial opportunity is. All of you should keep in mind that as I talk about these franchises, I am not offering them for sale. If you live in a franchise registration state, you definitely, definitely will want to check with me, 305-710-0050, to see if these franchises are available for you, because they may not be so definitely. Again, just know that as we talk about this, this is purely for information for you guys, to get a sense of what these franchises are and what they can do.
Speaker 1:They were established in 2007. Their first unit franchised in 2012, and they have over 160 locations, with one corporate location, which I believe is in San Clemente. Their initial investment is $115,000 to $270,000. You know my rule we go high side. If they say it's $270,000, that's what you need to plan to spend. Their franchise fee is $55,000. Royalties are a five to six scaling royalty. So, again, $270,000, you're going to put your K down on your Amada Care franchise and then you're going to want to have another let's call it $210,000, $220,000 in the bank to build your franchise. That's what you've got to do.
Speaker 1:But the opportunity in senior care is unlike any other that's out there. It truly is in my mind and you guys, if you listen to me, I'm like a broken record. But man, senior Care, they're great franchises. Amadacare is a very good franchise, excellent franchise. Text me at 305-710-0050. Let's see if it makes sense for you to talk to AmadaCare or HomeWell Senior Care. I'd love to discuss just the entire industry with you, if you'd like, and see if it might be right for you Next up on the list.
Speaker 1:Okay, for those of you out there who may not have the $270,000 available to invest in a franchise, I've got a business for you that is also in the healthcare space. It's called American Business Systems. American Business Systems is a home-based medical billing business opportunity that includes all the software to provide billing and many other services to doctors. Also included are over 2,000 marketing pieces, a semi-custom website for you to have, live online training and unlimited lifetime support. Also, american Business Systems is the only opportunity in the market that offers an unconditional 100% money-back guarantee within 30 days of your investment. That's pretty cool, okay.
Speaker 1:Why should you consider their industry? Well, healthcare is an industry that is recession resistant. As I just mentioned, I'm a total broken record when it comes to home care, medical care. This is recession resistant. That's absolutely. That is something you can pretty much take to the bank. There's always a need for healthcare. Government regulations have caused a huge demand for their services and doctors get financial government assistance for adopting American business systems systems.
Speaker 1:Why American business systems? 100% money back guarantee within 30 days of investment, very flexible and scalable business model. They're looking for someone that has a strong desire to grow, a business ability to follow their step-by-step marketing plan and basic computer skillset and networking skills. They have. They have 450 franchises currently operating and they're available in all us States. Total investment 30 grand work from home that same freedom I have running my business from Disney world happens. Total investment 30 grand work from home. That same freedom I have running my business from Disney World happens. Sounds silly, but you can do it. This is the type of business where you can do that. Okay, you can save two to $10,000, as always with the Franchise Insiders, but you have to text me to find out what that is. On American Business Systems 305-710-0050.
Speaker 1:American Cruise Planners planners. We don't do a rebate on that. That's a much lower investment sort of travel agency franchise where the investment is $11,000 on the franchise fee and then it is a total investment of $24,000. Cruise planners and American express travel representative is the nation's largest home-based travel franchise company with over 200, 2,800, excuse me franchise locations in all 50 states. They have been named the number one home-based travel franchise by entrepreneur every year since 2002. Their unmatched training, marketing technology and personalized coaching allow you to work from anywhere, be your own boss and travel the world. Same perks I have running the business from the Bahamas, running the business from Disney world, running the business from Hawaii. You can do that with a business like this and, again, total investment of about 24 grand.
Speaker 1:So for those of you out there you want to get started. You don't have a lot of capital to invest. I've been there. Jill and I were coming out with a ebook, by the way, for you guys, and I'll let you know when it's available on our website. We sold our house to get started as business owners.
Speaker 1:So, looking for a low investment business, cruise planners, your cruise and vacation experts I mean, I don't want to say travel's recession resistant, but you know it's something most of us do every single year and, living down here in South Florida, people go on these cruises like crazy. So we can't do the rebate on this one, but we can connect you to cruise planners and if you're looking to start a business, you got less than 30 K. Boom. We could connect you to cruise planners, we could connect you to American business systems. And there we go. We got two businesses we're looking at.
Speaker 1:Remember Homewell, senior care. You can start with a $5,000 training fee. Lime painting Holy smokes. Looks like four different people invested in lime painting. I might love painting as much as I love senior care. I love painting because it's a subcontractor model, meaning that the franchisor will help you to find painting companies in your territory and you are a sales machine. You're out there, going out getting the business, closing the business and then connecting the painting company to your client. Now Lime Painting has an insane average ticket. They say five times the industry average. You want to find out what it is? Text me at 305-710-0050.
Speaker 1:Lime Painting has a really cool looking brand, very clean, stands out. Their franchise fee is sixty thousand dollars. Their royalties are sliding seven to four percent scale, meaning the more, the more your franchise grosses, the less your royalty. So it's incentive to grow a big business. Total investment two hundred twenty seven thousand. We can save you two to ten thousand dollars on lime painting. Text me to find out what it is. They want you to have a net worth of a k. They are sba approved. They were founded in 2013 and be franchising in 2018. They have 95 franchises operating in two corporate locations.
Speaker 1:So what is line painting? Well, line painting is a luxury painting, surface restoration and home service franchise that serves residential and commercial properties. They are a values-based, high-end painting and contracting service provider that aims to set the standard high in client relations by consistently delivering exceptional services and a flawless customer experience. As they grow nationwide, their franchise owners are drawn to their vibrant culture, comprehensive business model, affordability and potential for substantial returns. Their average job ticket is insane. There's no way that's real. You got to text me to hear what this is. Three zero, five zero. Their item 19 is really good too, on par with average senior care. Significantly higher average job than the industry average. Yeah, I mean it's like five times Enabling their owners to undertake 75% fewer projects than standard painting businesses. This, along with the five times so yeah, it is a five times the average ticket size, recurring business and a minimal employee model simplifies and scales the operation of a lime painting franchise.
Speaker 1:The painting franchise market may be crowded, but lime painting stands out. They exclusively target the upper 30% of the market. I can help you with that. By the way, we have great mapping software in-house at Franchise Insiders so we can look and we can really make sure, if you work with us, that when you are looking at a territory with them, that it does match up with what they're looking for. I know exactly what they're looking for here. So they focus on high-end homes and businesses. High-end properties often require more than just painting, so they provide over 40 other unique services educating their clients on enhancing their investment value, and their approach to luxury is defined by detailed preparation process.
Speaker 1:Okay, you get the idea. What are the other residential and commercial services offered? Do they say that? No, they don't really have it listed, but I'm going to take a guess that at least one of them is power washing, and if that's the case, I so my company, my franchise that we own is called pinks and we do a ton of pressure washing. Great jobs, big jobs. I'm guessing that's one of them. So text me at three zero, five, seven, one, zero, zero, zero, five, zero.
Speaker 1:Again, you can run your business from home like me. Come enjoy this home-based franchisee lifestyle. I'm telling you guys, you know it wasn't 20 years ago when I thought about where I would be. It's not. I didn't think, you know. Hey, jack, you're gonna be running a couple of businesses from home it's. It's really cool because if you want more time with family, if you want less time, kind of and for some of you that may not be it Some people have said to me I want an office, I'm going to go to an office. Well, that's a totally different thing, and we work with over 500 franchises and we can help you do that too.
Speaker 1:That line painting and strong fencing Is it fencing? All right, you guys fencing? This is something again. A few years ago, I didn't know much about fencing, these fencing franchises. We have a client that he became a fencing franchise owner this summer. What did he? He got a top rail fencing franchise, which is a great franchise. Stan Strong's great too, and, man, he's off to a great start.
Speaker 1:Now, remember much of this just because you buy a franchise and you own a franchise doesn't just guarantee okay, I got a good franchise and now I'm going to thrive. No, you need to be. You're the one. You, the franchise owner, are the one that make it, makes it unique. But these fencing franchises there's something to it. The numbers are good. Stan Strong Fencing is a company that specializes in building high quality fences for residential and commercial properties. At Stan Strong Fencing, they take pride in their work and are dedicated to providing top-notch service. I mean again, yeah, okay. So why Stan Strong Fencing Low cost startup?
Speaker 1:Let's see $5,900 franchise fee royalty scale from 8% to 6% based upon your revenue, cool, okay. So the more money you make, the lower the royalty goes. Total investment $299,785. Is it low investment compared to McDonald's? Yeah. Is it low investment compared to a painting franchise or a home care franchise? No. So I kind of put this in the middle $300,000. So again, kind of put this in the middle 300K. So again, you put down your 60K franchise fee. Better, have another 220, 230. They want you to have a net worth of $400,000.
Speaker 1:They are SBA approved. If you want to talk to one of our friends at a franchise financing company to help you with an SBA loan or even just tell you what kind of loan you might be able to qualify for, we can absolutely do that. These fencing franchises when it comes to home services, it's something to look at. We can save you two to 10 K, but you got to text us at 3 0, 5, 7, 1 0, 0, 0, 5 0 to find out and guess what? Home-based revolution continues. Stan strong is home-based. All right, what else do I have this week? Paymore We've talked about Paymore before.
Speaker 1:There was a franchisee who had another brand. I want to say it's a crumble franchisee. I could have that wrong, though Don't quote me on that that bought 35 Paymores. Paymore for a retail franchise they say total investment's $257,000 with a franchise fee of $35,000. Now that is low investment for a retail franchise. Paymore is a fast-growing local brick and mortar. It's weird local, I guess.
Speaker 1:If you own the franchise and you're local to someone, they are a brick and mortar electronics franchise opportunity in a unique industry that combines e-commerce with electronic sales and trade-in. So again, you want to go buy a used iPhone things like that this is where you're going to go. You want to go sell it? This is where you go. They say so. It's electronic sales and trade-in. One of the hottest markets in the world. Electronic sales from smartphones to gaming systems and computers or tech gadgets provides high customer retention rates, growing margins and low overhead. I mean, based upon the way people are investing and pay more, this is one you definitely want to look at if it's available in your market.
Speaker 1:This is what they say is a new franchisee category Zero to little competition because of the electronics and the gaming and all that they have involved. Immense market. Everyone owns electronics, that's true. Constant demand, proprietary technology. They're looking for driven and tech-savvy entrepreneurs Passion, business acumen. You know what I really like.
Speaker 1:The um, the people behind this franchise, they're good people. So pay more was founded in 2011. They started franchising in 2020, 46 franchises currently operating in one corporate location, not home-based. Okay, yeah, pay more. This is you know what. We can save you two to 10 grand on this franchise, but you got to text 305-710-0050.
Speaker 1:Up Closets sold. Again. It feels like every week I'm talking about Up Closets. There's something to it and, by the way, again it's another low investment 110,000 total investment on Up Closets. We can save you two to $10,000, but you got to text us. They have 36 franchises operating. They are looking for franchisees everywhere except for no California, no Illinois, no Minnesota, no New York, no Virginia. So those are registration states, folks. That means that if you're in that state, those states have different sort of regulations when it comes to registering franchises and sometimes it takes a little while longer to get the franchise registered. So that's why. So UpClosets is a closet design franchise. No need to really explain much of what that you guys get what the concept is. They say these are great businesses for young couples. I mean again 110 total investment that's on the high side. 40k franchise fee UpClosets that's another one worth looking at. Okay. So franchise market here we go.
Speaker 1:We're getting to the final stretch of the year. Exciting things are happening, but also it's time to start thinking about next year. So here's a couple of things that I have for you guys. I will do my best to be back with you with another Inside Scoop by the end of the week, but on our other podcasts, where Jill and I talk about our experiences as franchise owners called we Bought a Franchise, we are going to have Hello Sugar on our franchise. We're also going to have RICOR, which does insurance for franchises. I use RICOR. They help source all my insurance. So we've got some really killer episodes coming up on we Bought a Franchise and Jill and I will be talking about our experiences the ups and downs, managing businesses from afar, hiring challenges, all the stuff. And if you haven't listened to we Bought a Franchise, go check it out right now.
Speaker 1:We Bought a Franchise. You want to hear about our journey as franchise owners from the very beginning when we bought our Pinks Windows Services franchise. Check it out. Today we Bought a Franchise. Okay, today, that's all I got for you. I'm Jack Johnson, with your inside.
