In today's episode, we continue our series on America by investigating the story of the rise and fall of the Inca civilization of Peru.
Things begin with a recap of the "Cycle of the Arya" thesis that I've been exploring throughout this year-long book project on Philosophy. Then, we zoom in and look at the Inca as a case study of this larger pattern. We finish with a discussion of the psychology of race, comparing and contrasting it with that of "the nation".
As I argue, the democratic "nation" is inherently post-racial, as it is premised upon the mixing of races and the development of cooperative initiative. I explore this idea in detail in the article and in this podcast episode. Stay tuned!
