Magical human, welcome back to Madison Mindset, the podcast, your place of mindset, yoga, philosophy, all beautiful things connecting to the earth, connecting to ourselves and our oneness. I'm your host, Madison. It's beautiful to be here with you in this space. I love to think that we're here together, sharing this time together, even though this is pre-recorded. I like to think we're here together, and I hope you can feel that energy as well. I have just jumped off a call with a beautiful one-on-one client, and we had the best time. Such a beautiful 90 minutes just spent together working on what's going on for them, what's going on in your body. This is the chakra coaching that I've been offering for a couple months now. It is so much fun. I've always loved mindset coaching, but using the groundwork of the chakra system is so powerful. It makes sure that we go into all different areas of their life. So we're not just talking about, you know, the problem that's at hand, the problem that's at the top of the cup that just has to come out. You know, we're we're talking about depth. I'm asking deeper questions and asking them to consider more. And often you find out so much more about yourself and you start to find the root cause of the problem, of the situation and all these other situations that are just on the surface that are just annoying you in this moment. Often they just sort themselves out because we're sorting out the depth, we're sorting out the deep work. So I've got a couple of spots that are still open. For this episode, we're gonna go into health and we're gonna do a health practice of affirmations, visualization, and we're also gonna draw some oracle cards. So when you're ready, let's jump into the practice. So I am here with my favorite oracle cards at the moment. They are called shamanic medicine, oracle cards. I'm not gonna pronounce the name of the person who made these. They're beautiful names, but I'll get it wrong. So I'm gonna put it in the description below if you'd like to get yourself a copy of the deck. It is really amazing. I've also got my journal here, my current journal, which is the biggest journal I've ever had. This is massive. If you're watching the video, like it's taking up nearly a whole half screen of the video. It's huge, massive, but it's blank pages, and I'm all for blank pages. You know, I think it opens the door for creativity, and you're not just writing online. Big advocate for blank journals. I think they're fantastic. So I am inspired to do this episode because this week I've had my own health issue pop up. For anyone who's been here for a while, you'll know that I've struggled with health anxiety. Anxiety has been my thing. It's why I'm here. That's literally the cause of the work that I'm doing, the, you know, teaching yoga, teaching meditation, the mindset work. That's literally why I'm here. If I never had anxiety, I don't think I'd be here. I'm here because I needed to help myself get out of anxiety and find a better way because I could see that the way that I was functioning was not helpful. So I'm looking for a way to help myself. And as I learn, I find it useful to share it. You know, I find it useful to share and hopefully will help others as well. I'll bring you the information that I find or practices I find that work. So that's why I'm here. But health anxiety is my big one, okay? Health anxiety. Since I was a little kid, I remember being scared about getting some kind of health issue, some kind of ailment, you know, if I, you know, range of things. If I got scratched by something, I think it's going to get infected. You know, if I, you know, if I there was a cut or something and I didn't see what caused it, I'd be like, what if it was a rusty nail and want to get tetanus? Like I'm literally always on the alert for this stuff, right? Even, you know, it's warming up in Australia now, and a lot of the snakes are kind of coming out, and I had a scratch on my ankle and it was like two dots. And I was like, what if that's a snake bite? I'm literally counting down the minutes, hoping that I don't collapse from a snake bite. You know, like it's just constant. Like it's it is really difficult to handle, and it is definitely a lifelong battle for me. I don't know why I have this. I've got a few ideas from my childhood as to where it must have come from. I did have an unpleasant experience in hospital as a kid, and I don't know if that's kind of inspired it and you know, or what's going on. A lot of personal stuff there, so I'll leave that. But I don't know, was it a past life? Did something happen? I don't know. And the funny thing about health anxiety, you know, anxiety is a form of a form of stress. You know, it brings it's a lot of stress, anxiety, you know. And what's fascinating about it is when you're in a state of stress, you're not causing the body any benefit from that. You are definitely, as all the studies show, and as I've felt in myself, you are causing harm to your body. You know, you don't want to stay in a state of stress for too long. It's a fight or flight response. You know, being relaxed and working on balancing your nervous system, that's definitely the key to health. So it's quite stressful when you end up in a state of health anxiety. And I've got one of my clients, she's also, you know, anxious about health, and she's gonna hear this and be like, yep, that's me. In it with you. In it with you 100%. It is a challenge, but it has inspired me to do this episode. Before we begin, I want to first say that health is a frequency, it is aligned with abundance, and we're gonna do a practice in a moment that really elevates our state of abundance and our feeling of love within us. But I also want you to know that it's normal for things to go wrong with the body. It's normal for your body to not line up with everything that Google says, you know, that everything that doctors say. You know, it is it's quite normal because, you know, Western medicine and this whole doctor thing, it's relatively new. Like you look back over history, all of it's very new. They're still figuring it out. There's so many unanswered questions and so much knowledge that isn't there. So it is normal. And especially if you're a woman listening to this, women have been immensely understudied. So that's a bigger complication, okay? So it is normal for the human body to get unwell, to get injured, to get sick. It is normal. That makes you human, that makes you part of this world. But you do 100% have the power to influence your health. Okay, remembering that we're all on a journey where we're gonna die at the end. Okay, I love to remind myself of that because we are all gonna die in the end and we don't know when it is, but you can imagine that you're not at the peak of health when you're dying, you know, for whatever reason that is. So it is normal for you to be born, complications happen, and then you die. So I don't want you to feel like if you're not in this perfect abundance state of health and wealth and all those things that you're not aligning yourself with the with life. Because I would say, you know, if you're dealing with things, you're going up and down, you've got wrinkles, you got weird bumps and lumps coming up, you got diseases, you got whatever, makes you pretty normal. Okay. However, we do have the power to influence it greatly, to at least make ourselves feel better about it, and to balance our nervous system, which is going to help you align with health and help the body's natural healing processes. So I want to help you with that. And under I just want you to understand that it's normal. You are normal. Often what happens to me when if I get diagnosed with something or if something new pops up, I immediately fall into this spiral of why does no one else have this? You know, why is it only me? It's not only you. Everyone has their stuff. In fact, when I have something come up, I'll often Google like how many people in the world are affected with this. And it really grounds me because the numbers are often huge. They're often huge. We all have our stuff going on, and it's important to let yourself be normal. Okay. There's nothing wrong with you. It's just part of life. However, we do have a responsibility to bring ourselves back to a state of balance and not allow any complications of life to push us over the edge, you know, into constant stress. Why me? Why me? Because that makes things worse. That makes pain bigger, it makes diseases less handable. Handable? Is that a word? Less. No, I'm not even gonna try. That sentence is completely gone. It just makes things harder on a grand scale. It makes healing harder, it makes dealing with it harder, it makes feeling it harder. So we're first going to acknowledge that you know what? If you've got issues with your health, you are normal. You are normal. Trust your body, trust yourself, trust the amazing amount of healers in this world, whether it's Western medicine or eastern medicine, or ideally the perfect combination of both. Do not underestimate the power of your own mind. The mind coming into the body, the body feeling the mind, and actually bringing that into a state of peace because that can deeply affect healing. There is enough research, there are enough studies out there that show that. Highly recommend that you look into it and take it seriously. There are enough people who have had stories of healing themselves, of all this, so I'm really leaning into that. I'm actually reading Becoming Supernatural by Dr. Joe Despenser at the moment. Powerful. Really powerful. He talks about all this stuff. I didn't realize it was about exactly what I needed. Of course, this book found me when I needed it. You are enough. You're doing enough. You're raised in a world that potentially doesn't believe in self-healing. So let yourself learn it and understand that you are normal, but you have more power than you think. We're going to begin with a moment of self-balancing. If you're driving or doing something, feel free to follow along with the practice, but don't close your eyes. Don't relax too much, especially if you're in a car. Eyes open at all times, come back and do this practice at a more appropriate time. If you're with me, either standing, sitting, or lying down, whatever makes you happy, close your eyes. Place both hands over your heart if you can. And take a moment to be aware of everything that's happening outside of you. Everything that you might be feeling on a physical level. Really extending the exhale. Keep breathing. Inhale. Long exhale. Pause at the end. With each inhale, imagine breathing in a beautiful white light of peace, healing, and love right into the heart space. And as you exhale, let go of any stress, any tension you might be holding in the body or in the mind. Inhale, peace, love, and health. Exhale, stress, tension, worry. Slight smile. Inhale, breathing in health. Breathing out any stress, tension, inflammation in the body. Let's continue this for a couple of moments on our own. Inhaling love. Exhaling tension. Inhaling love. I trust my body to heal and take care of itself. I nourish and cleanse my body every day. I believe in my body. I trust myself and I trust my body. I welcome love, peace, and health into my life right now. I welcome healing on all levels into my life now. I choose peace. I choose peace. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And so it is. Long sigh out the mouth. Natural breathing. Release the hands and open your eyes. Again, if you're watching the video, I'm showing you the picture. It's a beautiful card. This card is really beautiful because first when I saw it, I thought, you know, cycle of life. Completely normal, tree of life. Things happen, conception of new things happen. But when you read the book, it also indicates to you, you know, be mindful about the seeds that you're nurturing. You know, and as I said in the beginning, I think I spend more time than I should nurturing seeds of fear, of anxiety, of distrust, of worry. And when you nurture those kind of seeds, those are the ones that grow. So of course you see things that are born out of that. But if you spend time nourishing seeds of peace, of health, of love, of joy, of trust, then those are the plants that get to thrive. So this card very much points to look at what seeds you're watering. What are you doing with your time? What everything you do in your life, everything you say, you're you're watering some kind of plant, some kind of seed, something's going to grow from that. Are you binge watching Netflix? Are you never moving your body? Are you eating terribly? What are you doing? And how is that nourishing? If every thought is water to the plants, to the garden, if everything you do is like fertilizer for the garden, if everything you think, everything you say, it's just nourishing parts of your garden, what seeds are you taking care of? Be mindful with that, because I think I even I have underestimated the power of this so many times, even though I've heard it again and again and again. Be very mindful as to what seeds you're nurturing, especially when you're having, when you're in a time of complete health, everything's fine, everything's great. That's the time you least think about this stuff. And that's also when other things are around, you know, there's future possibilities, you know, even though you might be having an easy time. What are you nourishing for your future? What is the future of your garden? So this is a really important card that kind of points to the obvious, which is nurture what you want to grow. If you want to grow health, nurture that. You know, I don't know about many other trees, but gum trees, they often get an infection in their branches. I'm not quite sure what it is, if it's a fungus or something like that. I don't know. But it makes a like a V shape, like it looks like a beehive, but created out of leaves. It's quite cool. And it's an infection in the tree, and it can kill the tree, but the tree will just stop sending nourishment to that branch and it dies. It kills it off almost like a cancer cell. And you can see that in real time. The tree stops nourishing that part of the tree. It just kills it and eventually it falls off, and then the infection doesn't spread. So it's similar to us, right? When you see that there's a growth there, whether it's physical or emotional or mental, when you see that there's something, don't nourish it, right? Notice why is that grown? Why have I been nourishing this, you know, lack of balance or pain or whatever it is. And choose to nourish the things you want to grow. Turn your attention to the good things. Focus on the parts of your body that are functioning beautifully. Focus on health and abundance and the potential to heal instead of reasons why it's sad for you and nothing ever works out. Be mindful what you're nourishing. The next card is water expression. And the first thing that came to my mind was often when you hold back your expression, it manifests as a physical ailment quite a lot. So that's a big thing. But I just read the book and it's so beautiful, I want to read it to you. So I'm gonna read it to you now. Water has surfaced to reflect your current thoughts, doubts, and worries. Water is ready to wash away the pollution you are drowning in and release the emotion draining your natural vitality and positive outlook. Water seeks out your sensitivities and asks you to tap into your feelings. You often become overwhelmed when faced with challenging situations, crowds, and people's demands. As water washes away old hurts and pains, it asks you to be aware of the difference between your emotions and those of others. Observe your feelings when the tears flow. Is there blame towards another? Do you feel let down or are you feeling sorry for yourself? If you don't understand your feelings and reactions, how can you flow with the elixir of life? Water is waiting to soothe, heal, and remind you of your connection with the ebb and flow of the ocean and the pool of the moon. Water invites you to open your heart and become receptive to the feelings and sensitivities of others as you keep your own emotions in check. Emotions are a byproduct of your thoughts. So this is a great opportunity for you to again look at the thoughts that you're currently engaging with and dealing with and do your best to choose nourishing thoughts, to choose thoughts of health. Emotions live inside the body and they can create ailments for sure, 100%. So be mindful of the if you're feeling a certain emotion, look at what you're thinking because it's coming from that. So you can change your thoughts, which means you can change how you feel. So that's really beautiful. It's literally just saying to you, let water wash it away, express yourself and let it go. I think that's such a beautiful thing. And I think we can all take lesson in that. The final card is bones for casting, another really cool card. This one, the basic message of this one is to trust your intuition and to ask for guidance because we're living in a world that is so connected with you and you are part of it, and we get so disconnected thanks to technology and all the things that are going on, the drama that we've created in society, you know, and all that stuff. It could be so simple. Go and listen to what the river has to say. Go and observe the trees, ask your questions. The guidance is always right there. It's always right there. You're not alone, you're normal, you're natural. Go and seek the answers because the answers are there. So whatever you're, you know, complaining about or worried about or dealing with, there is a reason, there is a place for it, there is a way. So look and trust your intuition on what you're feeling and believe in yourself. Trust yourself and trust the guidance of the universe. Thank you so much, beautiful human, for being here.
