Either we live our lives within a rational context, or a mythological one. When we are in 'Rational Mode' then the rational world is the only one that we ever perceive - anything out gets screened out before we even get to register it. We only ever see the world that makes sense' to us. The think about this though is that 'the world which makes sense to us' isn't actually the real world at all - its only our mode of interpretation reflected right back at us without any chance of anything else ever getting through. We're living in 'Safe Mode', we could say, and 'Safe Mode' is a living death...
