Today’s guest is Angus Hilsley—former British Army soldier turned leadership and performance coach. Angus served 11 years in the military, joining at 16 and rising through the ranks with early promotions, instructor recommendations, and international deployments. His career included serving as a Drill Instructor, where he helped transform raw recruits into soldiers.

After being medically discharged due to injury, Angus turned adversity into purpose, founding Frontline Fitness Coaching and Vanguard Leadership Solutions, helping frontline personnel, teams, and businesses develop the mindset and resilience needed for peak performance. Today, we unpack the beliefs he’s had to unlearn, the leadership principles he now lives by, and how he helps others master their own minds.
