Walking Alongside: Perspectives
Welcome to Walking Alongside: Perspectives. Take a walk with me as we explore perspectives that I find interesting, moving, ridiculous, hilarious, infuriating, frustrating or down right bizarre! This iteration of the podcast features a combination of short (read 10-15 minutes'ish or less) solo-pods sharing what I have seen, heard, experienced or am navigating and fun and insightful conversations with cool people. Hopefully it will be relatable, possibly humourous, thought provoking or at the very least, entertaining. Looking forward to sharing these perspectives and hope you enjoy.

Just Four Guys Who Made it Big - Beatles Pt 3
Have thoughts or ideas? Please share here!
You may not have asked for it, but here it is anyway. The third and hopefully final episode on the Beatles.
This time we take a look (or a listen) to Rubber Soul and consider the real gripe that we have and that is the historical, what we like to call, exaggeration, of the Beatles writ large. We look at some of the things held up as the reasons, justification or evidence of how they continue to be viewed as the GOAT and provide our rebuttals of why we don't necessarily think that it's right, accurate or fair. While we know that we are unlikely to change any minds, we hope to at least provide a reasonable argument to consider that maybe there are some other ways of considering or looking at the Beatles in the historical rearview mirror as well as the potential implications, and possible, dare I say, even dangers of this perspective. And so even if you don't agree with our hot takes, it is after all, all about perspective.
In all of that, we had a lot of other music to consider, so here are all the songs that are featured in this episode:

Walking Alongside is written, recorded and produced by me - Charissa McKay (aka CharCharBinx) in my awesome basement home office/studio/craft room on Treaty 6 lands known originally as amiskwaciy-wâskahikan, meaning Beaver Hill House, in Nehiyawewin (Cree). There are other names, equally as meaningful, and I am grateful to those who were here before me, for the ability to call this place my home.
