I am responsible for the strategic direction of the practice and I hope to bring energy and enthusiasm to everything I do. I have been involved in property most of my life being the son of a building contractor and I was elected to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1999. Much of my career has been spent within the Manchester offices of national commercial building consultancies. I have been involved in pretty much all service areas you would expect of a Building Surveyor, including education (University of Central Lancashire), urban regeneration and social housing matters (Arcus Consulting), dilapidations and neighbourly matters (Storeys SSP and Drivers Jonas Deloitte). More recently I have focused mainly on dilapidations and overseeing commercial refurbishments. I am a proud member of the RICS Dilapidations Steering Group.

I am a Building Surveyor and Sustainability Advisor at Anderton Gables, based in the Preston Office.
I started my career in Building Surveying at a large global consultancy after spending a decade teaching Economics in the UK and overseas. I have completed a Masters degree in Building Surveying and am a licenced BREEAM Assessor as well as being a domestic and non-domestic energy assessor. Alongside my existing qualifications, I am working towards my APC with the goal of gaining MRICS status within the next 12 months.

I also lead AG’s Sustainability service, providing professional advice to both residential and commercial clients on how to improve the environmental impact of their properties. This takes the form of EPC improvement works and retrofit, as well as offering BREEAM advice and assessment on commercial refurbishment and fit-out schemes.
