Identity is the source of decision making both on and off the sports field, and in this episode Dr Kirsten van Heerden takes me through the importance of having a balanced identity that reflects and values all aspects of one's character and essence.
Kirsten is one of the few South Africans who has represented her country and completed a PhD in Sports Psychology. She has worked with numerous Olympic athletes and professional sports personnel.
Kirsten currently is the performance psychologist at Newton Sports Agency, host of her podcast Behind The Dream and is the author of the book-Waking From the Dream- Stories of Transition Out of Elite Sport.
