The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
unknownThe Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
SPEAKER_04King Henry, your guests.
SPEAKER_06Show them in.
SPEAKER_04Yes, my lord. I present the kingdom's top, shall we say, problem solvers. First, the red horseman.
SPEAKER_11My king.
SPEAKER_04The Scotsman.
SPEAKER_02You know as well as I do, they call me the ugly Scotsman. But thank you for respecting my feelings. By the way, you call it Dumper Castle. I seen pigs with bigger homes.
SPEAKER_04A pleasure to see. And the silent killer.
SPEAKER_06Your name does not lie. To it, I shall not lie to any of you. My daughter, Earl Speth, has betrayed me.
SPEAKER_14The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. The Lord is my shepherd.
SPEAKER_06Based on the company in this room, you have probably concluded that I desire her rendered under the grave.
SPEAKER_02Your own daughter, my liege? Don't pretend you never killed a woman, Horseman. From what I've heard, you like to run them through a few times before finishing. King Henry. What the hell has she run? A man who's known as the biggest creep in the kingdom. I'm surprised you then know she's a bastard, and they say she's a cursor.
SPEAKER_06I believe she plans to offer information and assistance to the Persian rebels along the coast. She must be caught and killed before she can act on her moralistic impulses. She has been a stain on my family since the day she was born. Imagine the king's daughter, a turncoat. She cares not of perception. She answers only to Christ. Her head will answer to the mighty hoof of my horse.
SPEAKER_02Gives a drop of piss.
SPEAKER_06What's the price? Twice as much as the Percy clan offered you bastards for my head. I did not accept that job. Only because the price was too low. But I require not only your talents but your discretion. No one can suspect my involvement. I will not give those rebels a story to sow further distant. Not when we are so close to ending this war. Understood, my liege.
SPEAKER_02Not to be dead, Thomas, but what guarantee do we have your payment? Wars and rebellions are expensive, and we've all heard the stories of your pockets, we know we bet like perhaps this will avail.
SPEAKER_06That'll do. Where was Elspeth last seen? Ersphag is a student of the ancients and their foot races. She moves fox, not fast enough to outrun Goliath.
SPEAKER_11Two hundred stone legs as thick as logs, eyes that wither even the bravest of men. We'll catch her, my king.
SPEAKER_15A trap. Who set it? This road is not safe. I must find another route. A cave slippery and dark, but perhaps there's a way through. Who's that? Another of the king's assassins come to slay me.
SPEAKER_18If I wanted to do that, you'd be dead already.
SPEAKER_15Show yourself.
SPEAKER_18My name is Desmond. I mean you no harm.
SPEAKER_15Nor are you. You you're missing a hand.
SPEAKER_18I am a soldier. Or I was.
SPEAKER_15Are you fleeing the front?
SPEAKER_18No. After I lost my hand, crown being to me useless. Half a warrior. I was rounded up with the other cast offs to be sold into slavery by the king. I skipped the slave caravan a temporary, and I've been hiding out here for well. I suppose I've lost track of time.
SPEAKER_15Yet you reveal yourself to a stranger.
SPEAKER_18If you are fleeing the king, we are of one mind. I ask your name.
SPEAKER_15Elspeth.
SPEAKER_18You say you are haunted by royal assassins. It's your name whiffs of royalty.
SPEAKER_15Let my name deceive you not. I seek to remove King Henry from the throne.
SPEAKER_18For reasons selfish or righteous.
SPEAKER_15He disgusts me. He is corrupt as both a man and a leader. And I discovered he has begun to jail anyone he suspects of holding sympathies against the crown. My friend Rose spoke her concerns aloud, and within days, she vanished into the dungeons.
SPEAKER_18Was she executed?
SPEAKER_15I cannot say. When I snuck below ground to find her, she was gone.
SPEAKER_18Perhaps she was sold into slavery.
SPEAKER_15Sold? By whom?
SPEAKER_18By the king, of course. Many of the slaves in my caravan were rounded up from their homes for speaking ill of him.
SPEAKER_15Jailing is one thing, but selling his own people. Are you sure?
SPEAKER_18I don't speak until I am. Perhaps you haven't noticed living in your castle. The kingdom's cupboards are there. The king's coffins are empty. He was turned a slaving to refill his war chest.
SPEAKER_15No. Even for my father, that's a step too far.
SPEAKER_18Your father?
SPEAKER_15Forgive me. I misspoke.
SPEAKER_18Did you? I gave you three seconds to speak the truth. I three.
SPEAKER_15I Two. Okay, okay! I am the King's daughter. But I swear to you, I only seek to stop him. I want to embed with the rebels and show them through the castle gates. My father deserves to be brought down and replaced by someone who can rule as a pious and righteous servant of the Lord.
SPEAKER_11The Lord does them, King of Elspith, the king's business.
SPEAKER_14Run!
SPEAKER_11That's the man back me up.
SPEAKER_14You know these caves well. How do we escape?
SPEAKER_18Down this tunnel to the left. When I say duck, you duck. Trust me.
SPEAKER_15Faster! He's right behind us!
SPEAKER_06Turn left.
unknownDuck.
SPEAKER_15My god, Desmond! A trap! Did you set the one on the road too?
SPEAKER_18Security is of the utmost importance to an escaped slave.
SPEAKER_15That spear went straight through his lower jaw and into his mouth. I don't think he can talk. Or breathe.
SPEAKER_18It was supposed to penetrate his brain. Ah well. Like I said, this is the man who ran me up. Come, let me show you the exit. Perhaps you can speak to their leader.
SPEAKER_15You look like quite the athlete, Desmond. Perhaps a race is in order.
SPEAKER_18If you are in the mood to lose.
SPEAKER_15Never. I'll see you there. Desmond! You did not say go! Go! Get back here! I'll catch you!
SPEAKER_18And then what will you do with me?
SPEAKER_15Wouldn't you like to know?
SPEAKER_19How are you so fast?
SPEAKER_15Yes! We're here! I beat you!
SPEAKER_18No, look! This is it. This is the camp.
SPEAKER_15But where is everybody?
SPEAKER_18Perhaps they are hiding from us.
SPEAKER_15No, the gardens haven't been maintained. They're overrun with weeds.
SPEAKER_18Abandoned then. Let's look around.
SPEAKER_13Hold! Who goes? State your purpose now.
SPEAKER_15We seek the rebel group that opposes the king, that fights for the weak.
SPEAKER_13And you?
SPEAKER_18I seek no confrontation, sir. I accompany Elspeth as her friend and protector.
SPEAKER_08You and you only girl. Follow me.
SPEAKER_18No, she will not.
SPEAKER_15It's fine, Desmond.
SPEAKER_18Elspeth, there's something amiss here. Do not blindly put your faith in these rebels. You are as much a prize to them as a hostage as your head was to that assassin.
SPEAKER_15If I do not show good faith, why would they listen to me?
SPEAKER_18Fine, but I will be here when you arrive back. I will seek answers while you parlay.
SPEAKER_13This way, girl. No. I'll be back.
SPEAKER_18This camp is filthy. But if there are rebels here, they must be nearby. Hello? Anyone here?
SPEAKER_06What a smell.
SPEAKER_18There's food left on the tables. Drinks. As if they left in a hurry. Must be days old. What happened here? What's that outside? Hmm. A caravan.
SPEAKER_13Oh! Oh, is it all? A new lord of rebels had called to join the course.
SPEAKER_16Where is the red horseman?
SPEAKER_13The red horseman was cold to the castle.
SPEAKER_16You're two days late. Did you have trouble on the way?
SPEAKER_13Uh we had a slight rockus, but uh we quelled that little uprising. Any losses? Uh, just one, me lady. Uh he was a cripple. A quibble? Yeah. He still had his feet and uh he ran at them caves up near Moonshire. He evaded us for days, and uh we decided it's probably best just to bring the rest to you.
SPEAKER_18That's right, you buggers.
SPEAKER_16Don't let it happen again.
SPEAKER_13Yes, my lady.
SPEAKER_16Take our fellow citizens to rest.
SPEAKER_13Yes, yes, all right. Come on out here. You're here to join the rebellion.
SPEAKER_18We were being sold to the rebellion.
SPEAKER_07Hello.
unknownNothing.
SPEAKER_09She doesn't see many people right now, but she says a visitor coming.
SPEAKER_15She? Are you feeling quite well, good sir? The war has ravaged your body.
SPEAKER_09Quite well. This way. Through the clearing and down the stone stairs. She'll be in the stables.
SPEAKER_15How quaint. And well hidden.
SPEAKER_09Usually I throw a bag over your head.
SPEAKER_15What will happen to me?
SPEAKER_09I wish I could tell you, dear.
SPEAKER_07We all make a choice in Duno. Nothing changes. You're here to trade your crime, you say. Now see.
SPEAKER_08I lost my children in this war. Gave up my wife to those woes that gave you sick doors. I gave all I had left for a chance to fight. And now here we are.
SPEAKER_15Hello. Anyone here? Hello, you seem much nicer than the other one I met today. Have you seen anyone around? That's okay. It is an order to be here. I discovered his operation and intended, but it ended up. It is a human.
SPEAKER_16There can be no forgiveness for the sentence of the king. We welcome your resistance.
SPEAKER_15I serve the Lord. He is my only king. Besides, I am a princess in title only. A bastard born out of wedlock. An embarrassment to my late stepmother. And a scandal to my father. I was told my whole life that my existence was a source of shame. And yet it was my father's last act of compassion to let me be raised in the castle. A decision I imagine he has regretted as a sinner.
SPEAKER_16He has manifested all his guilt and regret. Not only does he wish you God, but all those needing souls. He must be brought down. He must answer the God. You are doing a good thing.
SPEAKER_15Yes. Beyond redemption. You will make a good thing.
SPEAKER_16The kingdom requires a familiar name and a young face to take the throne and clean them out of these dark times. You have to meet you have shown incredible bravery and the idea. You may not feel ready, but you will be. You must confront that with wishes to enter. That will be sacrificed. There is a water fight. You must be eager to return and destroy with full force. I am not delay a minute longer. The time has come. Is it all quiet? Another assassin has followed you. Run. I will face this coward. What say you, assassin? Do you wish to trade barbs with me?
SPEAKER_15Desmond, Desmond.
SPEAKER_14What is that? Desmond.
SPEAKER_15Am I going mad? Where are these voices coming from? I can't find you. Keep talking. I'm nearly there. Oh yeah! There you are. Oh, Desmond! Thank God!
SPEAKER_18I never thought I'd see you again.
SPEAKER_15What is this? Who would lock men into the ground? It's like a living graveyard. All these holes. There are men and women inside, barely alive.
SPEAKER_18They're called oblets. Because whoever is locked in one is left and forgotten.
SPEAKER_15The smell is unbearable.
SPEAKER_18Men have rotted away in these cages. You must hurry. Get me out, please. The rats have already taken a bite of me.
SPEAKER_15How do I get you out?
SPEAKER_18There is a lever that opens the row of cages. You must be close by. Pull it.
SPEAKER_15I shall. I just need to find Expert.
SPEAKER_18What's wrong? Who is that?
SPEAKER_14Then you were no friend of mine.
SPEAKER_10You have got me.
SPEAKER_15I've outrun death before.
SPEAKER_10Death.
SPEAKER_15Hell for my father, perhaps. I've come to rally the rebels against him.
SPEAKER_10I'm rebels.
SPEAKER_15I know not what is happening here, but my father will not continue to enslave his own people.
SPEAKER_10You are poison.
SPEAKER_15You are more effective when you attack like a coward from afar. Up close, you are slow. Help us! I will! Stop! Don't grab me!
SPEAKER_10Nothing will save you now!
SPEAKER_15Oh god! Jesus! If this be the end, may it be swift! It will not!
SPEAKER_10My poison! No, no, no! Slowly!
SPEAKER_14No, no, no! There! A lever! Kick him in the grass!
SPEAKER_18Out of the way! Three me, El Smith! I can fight him!
unknownYou both where you stand.
SPEAKER_10Another El Smith, I'm still trapped!
unknownYou will remain.
SPEAKER_15Release my leg four. No, they won't. They need sustenance. Eat him. Send his soul to hell. In pieces. We are leaving now.
SPEAKER_18We must have your father. But we cannot do it alone.
SPEAKER_15I have a friend who can perhaps help. Alistair Percy.
SPEAKER_18You return to your father's enemy.
SPEAKER_15Alistair and I have been friends since childhood. Though there is war between our kingdoms, we maintain our relationship. When I explain to him what we have witnessed, I'm sure he'll rally his troops against Isidore.
SPEAKER_18Even so.
unknownMemory fades.
SPEAKER_16Obey my command. You are remained. The devil's breath now fills your veins. The body ascends, the soul remains. Imprisoned in shadow, you are now but a shell.
SPEAKER_18Keep your eyes low. Don't know who may be friend or foe.
SPEAKER_15Did you see that strange man?
SPEAKER_18No. Where?
SPEAKER_15To the left. In the mosque.
SPEAKER_18Just stay calm. Ramos to the train station. I'll find my friend.
SPEAKER_16What now?
SPEAKER_02You quivering mongrel. I knew you were a smart lass and you'd make for the closest port. But there'll be no ferry rides for you today, princess. I'm gonna run through you and turn your guts into haggis.
SPEAKER_15Run desmond.
SPEAKER_18Put as much in his way as you can.
SPEAKER_15We think we need something larger to put in his way.
SPEAKER_18Up in livestock pins. Open the ones on the right. I'll take the left.
SPEAKER_02I'm usually paid to slaughter men, but we lands are just as easy. I will make a stand.
SPEAKER_15No!
SPEAKER_02I'm being paid to kill her. But you can you? I'll kill for free.
SPEAKER_18You will come no further.
SPEAKER_15Desmond, the man in the mask, he's headed right towards us.
SPEAKER_02Run now, Smith. I'll hold them both. She's mine. Get out of the way. Who are you? Silent. Killer.
SPEAKER_18He's turning! He's coming straight for us!
SPEAKER_15Sir, no, please don't. Alistair?
SPEAKER_17In the flesh, my dear Elspeth.
SPEAKER_15Did my father hire you to kill me?
SPEAKER_17No. He hired an assassin known as the Silent Killer. An assassin I captured months ago, and who is currently rotting in my dungeon. Luckily, he always wears a mask, and when my men intercepted a messenger seeking his services, I spotted an opportunity.
SPEAKER_15You devil!
SPEAKER_17Who's your friend here?
SPEAKER_18Mine's Desmond. Pleasure.
SPEAKER_04Taking my boat.
SPEAKER_03I'm getting out of here.
SPEAKER_19I just heard there's an army marching on the king's castle.
SPEAKER_15Excuse me, what did you just say?
SPEAKER_04There's an army, a few hundred strong, marching on the king's castle as we speak. They'll be there by nightfall.
SPEAKER_15Alistair, we were going to board a ship to find you. But now that you're here, I have a better idea. Follow me. But all hope is not lost.
SPEAKER_17Don't be daft, Elspeth. He sent assassins to end your life.
SPEAKER_15That was not his doing.
SPEAKER_17I was there. He gave the order himself.
SPEAKER_15His soul has been corrupted by a witch named Isidor. She wants his downfall. For what reason, I do not know.
SPEAKER_17I've heard no reports of this, Isidor. How could she raise an army without our knowledge?
SPEAKER_18She is posing as the head of the rebels, but they aren't rebels at all. They are slaves, sold by the king, and now possessed by Isidor. They have no control over themselves. Their souls stripped from them, only their falling bodies remain. She needs to control them like a swarm of locusts.
SPEAKER_17How do you know this, Desmond?
SPEAKER_18I escaped a slave caravan before I found Elspeth fleeing the Red Horseman. I took her to the rebel camp, but it turned out to be a dark place. They locked me in their roublets. The new slaves were still coherent with the others. If it wasn't for Elspeth, I shuddered to think what would become of me.
SPEAKER_15We are even, Desmond.
SPEAKER_17So, what is your plan? Why are we heading towards the castle if a war is about to begin? We should return to my lands and call our banners.
SPEAKER_15Bring me to my father as the silent killer, the assassin you pretended to be. Once inside, we'll spring a trap, capture my father, secure him in the dungeon, and face Isidore ourselves. She will halt her march if we can show her that the king has abdicated.
SPEAKER_17You would spare him.
SPEAKER_15Christ tells us to forgive if we wish to see the kingdom of heaven. I will do more than that. I will save my father's soul.
SPEAKER_19Quickly.
SPEAKER_17Even with the element of surprise, Henry's infantry will run right through them.
SPEAKER_19Aye, they may. But how will his infantry react when they witness those same creepers get back on their feet and continue fighting? Look closer, Alistair. This is no army of mortal men.
SPEAKER_18Oh my god.
SPEAKER_15She must not beat us to the castle.
SPEAKER_18Then we must run faster.
SPEAKER_03Sire, an army of rebels approaches on our western flank. There are hundreds of them.
SPEAKER_06What? And cannot be. Where did they come from?
SPEAKER_03They appeared on the horizon as if it sprung from the earth itself.
SPEAKER_06I don't understand.
SPEAKER_03Nor do I, my lord. My scouts say they are running toward us, not marching. They will be here by sunset. We must act swiftly.
SPEAKER_06Alert my army, secure the doors, load the catapults. Yes, sire. And prepare my steed. These rebels will not take what is ours.
SPEAKER_05It's just fear. Do not succumb to it.
SPEAKER_03It's not fear. It is true. Help me! Help me!
SPEAKER_05It's an army of demons! Retreat! Retreat!
SPEAKER_17Those demons are making short work of Henry's army.
SPEAKER_15Indeed. His men are too preoccupied to guard this poster entrance. Come, my father will be in the throne room. We don't have much time.
SPEAKER_19What is that?
SPEAKER_15Isidore is launching catapults at the castle. Run.
SPEAKER_18You two go up first. I'll take the rear.
SPEAKER_17Stairs are giving money! Desmond! The stairs behind you!
SPEAKER_15Desmond, grab my hand!
SPEAKER_18Everyone got one hand!
SPEAKER_12Alistair, help me pull!
SPEAKER_17I hope you aren't planning to go back down this way.
SPEAKER_15At least no one can follow us up. Soldiers coming in through the window.
SPEAKER_18We're too else with through here. Onto the roof.
SPEAKER_15Would you rather fight through Isabel's army ahead?
SPEAKER_17We must keep running.
SPEAKER_18Look at that battlefield. So many bodies.
SPEAKER_15Quickly! Across the roof before we are spotted.
SPEAKER_17The catapults tore holes across our path.
SPEAKER_15Then we jump over each of them. Whatever you do, just slow down.
SPEAKER_18Is it almost forgotten?
SPEAKER_17I mean the castle walls. Look on the roof. I see them. Brawl blade. We are ready for a fight.
SPEAKER_15Okay, inside on the other side of that massive hole.
SPEAKER_18That is too far to leap across. It'd seem that way. Unless I have an idea.
SPEAKER_15This doesn't call for a trap.
SPEAKER_18You said anything about a trap? Hand me that length of tapestry falling across the roof.
SPEAKER_15What do you need with this? It's destroyed.
SPEAKER_18Yes, but the fabric is strong. Strong enough.
SPEAKER_15For what?
SPEAKER_18For my weight. Alistair, your sword. I tie one in to the black. Help me, houseman. Hardly a grappling hook, but it will do. See them gargoyle on the tower there.
unknownHa!
SPEAKER_18It caught! Who wants to go first? Oh, leave it to me then I.
SPEAKER_15Testament, don't you dare? Told you!
SPEAKER_17Here! You're dead! You first, Elspeth!
SPEAKER_15Alistair! Behind you, it's an old man!
SPEAKER_17Here goes nothing!
SPEAKER_15Follow me. My father awaits!
SPEAKER_06My god! We are being massacred! Where do these wicked creatures come from? Christ Almighty!
SPEAKER_15Hello, Father! Elspeth!
SPEAKER_06You shall be dead! I sent four assassins after you! Three! So, the silent killer finally speaks. You have brought her to me alive. You I couldn't let you hunt my old friend down.
SPEAKER_17The Pisant Percy!
SPEAKER_18And who is your one-handed friend? I am Desmond. Once a slave now free.
SPEAKER_15We have travelled great distances, Father. Fought many enemies. All to tell you there is still hope. Your soul can be saved, and the kingdom can prosper.
SPEAKER_06Oh! Is that why you betrayed me?
SPEAKER_15Your greed got the best of you, but you can still change. It's not too late! Stand with me against these forces at your door.
SPEAKER_06Stand with you? You have no power here. I give the orders.
SPEAKER_15Abdicate your throne, and we will convince them to seize the onslaught. You don't understand the power your enemy wields. You stand against the armies of hell.
SPEAKER_06At the moment, I stand against a bastard and her gildlings. And for that, I do not have time. Gods, kill these three.
SPEAKER_15Alistair, what are you doing?
SPEAKER_17What I should have done ages ago.
SPEAKER_15Lower your blade from my father.
SPEAKER_06You snivelling shit!
SPEAKER_17Remove your blade from my throat! Do what she says, Alistair. This man is wicked. He hired assassins to kill his own daughter. He is a slaver and he's working with a witch. A witch? Isidor. The traitor? She paid me handsomely for slaves. The dregs of our society. That's all. Isidor is at your gate, you old fool! Who do you think you're fighting out there? Those are your slaves, possessed by her wicked power! That can't be! It is the truth! And kidding me will help you how. I wish I shared Elspeth's belief that you could be saved. But you and I both know that is a wild dream of a woman who cannot do what is necessary. Alice, just stop it! I don't think I will. It's time for the Percy clan to take this kingdom and set things right. Bastard! This was your plan the entire time. There is only one bastard in this room. Elspeth. Even a shred of claim to the throne alive. Don't you touch a hair on her head? Oh! And you will stop me, cripple.
SPEAKER_15Alexander, don't have to be this way. Think of our friendship. God no stop!
SPEAKER_17I'll stop when you and this slave rest in pieces upon this cold ground.
SPEAKER_13Now fuck off.
SPEAKER_06You got me here.
SPEAKER_15Desmond!
SPEAKER_06I'm hurt, Elspeth.
SPEAKER_15Let me see. Let me look. It's okay, Desmond. Sit. Rest here. Father, help me!
SPEAKER_06Help you! Oh the hell you have brought upon us!
SPEAKER_16It is too late, Elspeth. Help will not come for you. Loyal farm. The kingdom falls tonight. My forgotten, take the throne. No!
unknownBack!
SPEAKER_05Stay back!
SPEAKER_15Desmond, your blade! I hold these swords together in the shape of the cross and drive you back in the name of the Lord. Back in the name of Christ Jesus. Oh my, Alistair.
SPEAKER_16It is much too late for that. This room is filled with such wickedness. Your father's black heart. Alistair's backstabbing. Even you. You speak of me as a holy name, but deeper down. I know what you are. You're a seeker of the room, too.
SPEAKER_15Oh you need to save the kingdom! Just stop this madness! Is that why?
SPEAKER_16Or is it because you're a bastard whose father never truly loved her? You don't know me. I think I do answer. I think there's a hole so deep inside of you that not even a god can fit it. That is not true! You needn't worry. I can forgotten! Bring me the king!
SPEAKER_05Don't touch me, beasts!
SPEAKER_16Don't stop! Power. True power. Flocks like water into empty vessels and takes their shape. I only need to speak a word to release the darkness inside of me. And it will find its home inside whichever of you is the weakest. Then we will rise together. Soul and body as one. Why not just kill us and take the throne? Because my new subjects must be led astray by a face they know.
SPEAKER_06And what of the other? The stronger of the two.
SPEAKER_16The stronger must perish lest they challenge again for the throne. While one of you will rise, the other will be consumed by rot. You wicked bitch! Do you praise your Christ with that mouth? I praise him, and only him. We'll see about that.
SPEAKER_15Our Father who art in heaven. I call upon the darkness. The kingdom come, sulphur and flame.
SPEAKER_16I will be done. Take hold of the fearful as it is in heaven. Take hold in the darkest corners of the weakest soul.
SPEAKER_05It is mine. Take me. Yes, Phoenix. Father, your face. Just make it stop.
SPEAKER_16That means Yes, Elspeth. It is time. Our time. Please don't make me. Oh my sweet vassal. Who chose this path long ago? Now speak. Say, come to me, my forgotten.
SPEAKER_15Come to me. Don't do this. Silence, slave. Yes. Yes. Come to me.
SPEAKER_16Come to me. Come to me, motherful boss.
