We talk a lot about what we become after divorce.

Stronger. More independent. A "new version" of ourselves.

But what if the real shift isn't about becoming anything at all?

In this episode I reflect on something that doesn't get talked about enough. The quiet, sometimes disorienting process of unbecoming.

Shedding the roles you played. The expectations you carried. The version of yourself you shaped - often slowly, often unconsciously - to make a relationship work.

Because here's what I've come to know: the identity shift that divorce triggers often starts long before the relationship ends. Something inside you begins to stir. To question. To want more space than the life you're living allows.

And sometimes, divorce asks you or is what finally gives you permission to let it go.

This episode is for anyone who's felt that pull (wherever you're at with your relationship) and wondered what's left when you stop performing the version of yourself you thought you had to be.

Spoiler: it's you. The real one.

An unbecoming to become.
