In this episode of the Defiant Health podcast, let’s talk about this destructive thing in the human diet called wheat. Those of you familiar with my Wheat Belly books may know a lot of this already and this will just serve as a reminder to help you stay on course and preserve the health and slenderness you achieved. I’m always impressed that, because TV ads, misinformed dietitians, and other dietary conversations all urge you to consume grains, it’s easy to become complacent, often forgetting how your health improved by banishing all wheat and grains. If this is new to you, be prepared to be surprised, even angered, by coming to understand what a toxic, chronic poison modern wheat is, this thing created by crude genetic manipulations, and its destructive effects on your health.
In the early days of my Wheat Belly message, some people dismissed it as nothing more than promoting a gluten-free diet, or another version of a low-carb diet. But I believe that, once you hear the full arguments based on scientific evidence, you will come to understand the magnitude of mistake made when humans first began to incorporate the seeds of grasses—that’s what wheat is—-into the human diet and the enormous impact it has on health, despite being advised by virtually all agencies in the business of offering dietary advice to include it in every meal, every day.
