Ephesians in August: What Stronghold Is Holding You Back
Ephesians 4:20–21 reminds us: “That, however, is not the way of life you learned when you heard about Christ and were taught in Him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.”
Sister, this passage calls us to take a hard look at what doesn’t line up with Christ—and name it. Whether it’s fear, comparison, overeating, self-hatred, or shame, you have the authority in Jesus to say: “____ is not the way of life I learned in Christ.”
In this episode, I’ll challenge you to fill in that blank for yourself and surrender it to God. Because your stronghold does not define you—Jesus does. And when we call it out, we step into the freedom He died to give us.
What You’ll Learn in This Episode:
- Why identifying strongholds is the first step to breaking free
- How Ephesians 4:20–21 reframes your identity in Christ
- A simple, practical exercise to put your stronghold in the light of God’s truth
- Encouragement to walk in freedom and power today
Scripture to Reflect On:
Ephesians 4:20–21 – “That, however, is not the way of life you learned when you heard about Christ and were taught in Him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.”
Takeaway Challenge:
Fill in the blank: “_______ is not the way of life I learned when I came to Christ.” Say it out loud. Write it down. Pray it over your life. And choose to walk in the freedom that is already yours in Jesus.
I am always love to connect with you!
