The Safe Space Podcast
Season 3 Ep. 3- Part 2- A Conversation About Infidelity
I had the pleasure of speaking with Arretres Hollins, a Certified Mental Health Coach, teacher, and wife coach. She guides women as they heal from their husband’s infidelity through powerful faith-based coaching. Her style is magnetic. We spoke about what qualifies as infidelity, the changes that can happen in a marriage due to inside and outside stressors, and how to look within yourself to begin the healing process. Her superpower is “empowering wives to experience the divine clarity and healing needed to reconcile with their husband.”
Key takeaways:
- Defining infidelity
- Behavior warning signs
- Two types of cheaters
- Be intentional about pouring into your marriage
- 5 Love languages
- Awareness of changes in needs within marriage/as individuals
3 ways to begin to heal from infidelity:
- Identification- being honest about what went wrong
- Rebuilding yourself through self-care- Knowing what your need and desire so you can communicate it to your partner + being self-aware (“I’m feeling___________, I need_________right now)
- Be intentional with your requests
