Speaker 1:

Hi, I am Kristy Ballard Fellini. I am a certified life coach who found herself at 42, freshly divorced kids off to college and having never dated in my adult life. I was starting in the middle. If you haven't yet hit start on your middle time in life, let's do it together. Let the journey begin.

Speaker 1:

Hello, my friends, welcome back to the podcast. I am Kristy Fellini. I am your host of Start in the Middle. I am a certified trauma-informed life coach and I am super excited to be here with you today in this beautiful month of June. Can you believe it? June?

Speaker 1:

So what I do is I help people who are not where they want to be in life, who have woken up and discovered that life didn't go the way that they thought it would. So I help midlife women to stop letting life pass them by and do the work, create the skills that it's going to take to help them to live their best life. I am so excited to talk to you today because this is Episode 100. Episode 100. I am flabbergasted by Episode 100. I am excited about Episode 100, and here's how excited I actually am about Episode 100. Y'all doing a podcast is a huge commitment. It is because every week you get to come up with new content and new ideas and new ways to reach those women who are ready to start leveling up their life, and the work that I do helps my clients to move the needle on their own lives, because these are all things that I have already been through. These are all things that I am on the other side of, and I can't keep this information to myself, because I am supposed to get it out into the world. I am supposed to be an example of how you also can live a life that you truly want, and so today, I want to talk to you about renewal, because I am in a season of renewal. On this 100th episode, I want to talk to you about how you can renew your life. I'm also going to tell you why I'm using that word renew versus reset. So when you renew something, you resume after an interruption and May was an interruption for me whereas when you reset, it means that you set again and you do it differently, and so that's not what I'm saying, that I want to do. I don't want to do things differently. I want to come out of an interruption stronger than before I went into it, and May was exactly what I considered to be an interruption.

Speaker 1:

There were a lot of different factors happening and it seemed like it was all at once that a lot of my normal activities were on hold. You see, nothing major was happening. So it wasn't like the renewal that I went through after my divorce. There was no major life event happening last month, and it could be something as simple as noticing that you didn't simply have 100% to give to the things that you normally do. Maybe you did not have 100% to give and honestly— it's kind of where I was, because there were so many other like life events happening. You know, moving, helping my dad move into his new independent apartment. There were a lot of things happening, you know, before the move actually happened. You know, to help get him prepared. Help, you know, get that move in motion.

Speaker 1:

There were a couple of trips that needed to happen during the month of May, and the type of trips where you say I can't put this off any longer. Okay, and so in between those times I was exhausted, I was tired, I was mentally drained, and so I just felt like I didn't have the hundred percent to give to the things that I normally would have. It could be noticing that you're not giving a hundred percent to the things that you have committed to. Okay, I remember going on a doctor's appointment with my dad One time last month and he said you just don't seem yourself. Today is something wrong. And at that point I noticed I made the commitment but I wasn't giving a hundred percent. Okay, maybe you're noticing a pattern of complacency in your life. You know that if it's not broke, don't fix it. I'm also gonna tell you if it's not broke, don't fix it also means don't make it better. Okay, so it could also mean that you're not putting forth the growth to make whatever it is in your life better. You're not putting forth the growth that it's going to take for you to level up in your life.

Speaker 1:

For me, as I mentioned, I had a lot of life events all happening at the same time. Now again, these weren't major life events like when I first went through my divorce. It was just life happening and I noticed that in some of the aspects of my life I was just getting by, I was doing the bare minimum and I promise you, yes, there is a time and a place for the bare minimum, which is exactly where I was finding myself that season when you still have all of those hopes and dreams and passions and goals that you want to crush. But then these other life events happen and they need your attention, and so that's why, with episode 100. I am calling for a renewal, not a reset, because, remember, reset means you're doing things differently and that's not what I'm committing to doing. I'm renewing, I'm taking all the things that I love about my business and about my personal life and about all of the goals that I have for myself, and I am committing to leveling up. I'm leveling up by setting new goals, setting that bar higher. I'm leveling up by getting laser focused on the tasks and the work that are going to push my business into the next stages of its growth. I'm leveling up my continuing to step out into fear and basking in what's on the other side of fear, which is growth and clarity.

Speaker 1:

You, so I'm asking you, are you ready to take this journey with me? Are you ready to stop letting complacency keep you stuck in a ho-hum life? Are you ready to see what it feels like to get a little bit uncomfortable, to see an amazing outcome on the other side? I am inviting you to take a leap of faith. I'm inviting you to bet on yourself to discover what it actually feels like to finally live the life that you've always wanted, one that is actually full of joy and peace, a life that is free from stress and worry, a life where you know and have faith that everything is working out exactly as it should.
