Let's find that excitement for life together! I'm Kristi Falany, and as a certified life coach, I'm here to help you discover yourself and feel strong. We'll start by talking about your dreams and using a cool idea called the 'be, do, have' principle. It's like a map that shows you how to be successful.

We'll learn why trying to get everything all at once can cause problems. Instead, we'll see how, in different parts of life, your dreams can come true if you take your time. And when things get tough and you start feeling negative, I'll teach you ways to stay positive and focused on your goals.

This is especially for women in their middle years who want to feel passionate and purposeful again. I want to work with you personally to help you use your imagination and dreams to create an amazing future. If you share this with friends who might be feeling lost, it could give them hope and direction too.

Come join our community! Together, we'll help each other reach for our dreams and live the life we really want.

Kristi:

Hi, I am Kristy Ballard Fellini. I am a certified life coach who found herself at 42, freshly divorced kids off to college, and having never dated in my adult life. I was starting in the middle. If you haven't yet hit, start on your middle time in life, let's do it together. Let the journey begin.

Kristi:

Hello, hello, my friends, hey, so this is one of those quick impromptu you have an idea, get on and share it type of podcast. This is one of those podcasts where the idea just kind of came to me, and it was basically from a conversation that happened earlier in the week that I just can't seem to get off of my mind. And then, as I was listening to a podcast even this morning, the conversation came back into my mind with some new ideas, and so I thought I'd pop in and share that with you, because some of the best ideas actually do come from spontaneity and allowing it and choosing to go with it, and so I hope that you will enjoy this conversation, I hope that it sparks something for you and I hope that you learn something from it. So let's dive in. So in case we have never been introduced before, my name is Christy Fellini and I am a certified life coach. I love helping women to stop just existing in their lives. I love helping women create new ideas, come up for new ways of rediscovering who they were meant to be at this point in their lives. I love seeing them emerge out of the pain that they have been going through, the suffering that they feel when they feel that they are stuck in a season of life that just doesn't feel good, and I just love seeing other women flourish. And so that is exactly how my coaching program came into fruition and that's exactly the types of content that I teach my clients inside my coaching program. So if you are interested in just having one of those rediscover you calls if already within the first couple of minutes you are kind of sparked, you have something welling up in your body as if wow, she is speaking to me, I would love to do a free rediscover you call with you so that you can really dive into your own self-discovery and really tap into who it is that you are actually supposed to be at this season of your life. So let's talk about this conversation that I had earlier this week that really just kind of sparked something in me that said you need to share this on your podcast. So earlier this week we had coffee and connections. It's a women's group that I host locally. It happens once a month. So if you are here in Corpus Christi, texas, and you are listening to this podcast, I would love for you to come and to be my guest. It's called empowering women's coffee and connections. Continue to look for it and even search out my group on my Facebook page. So even if you're not here in Corpus, you are welcome to join the Facebook page. If you are someone who needs some inspiration and who is looking to be empowered, this is the group for you.

Kristi:

So inside our meeting of coffee and connections earlier this week, I had one of my guests challenge, something that I said I love that. I love that because it helps not only me grow, but it helps everyone in the group grow. So one of the activities that we did was the women got to pair up with someone else that they had not been introduced before and they got to talk to them about their bucket list. So the questions that I had them ask their partner were what are your aspirations, what are your dreams, what are the experiences you would like to have and hope to have in the future. And so when we got back together, I reminded them that when you are sharing these things, when you are speaking these things out and you are bringing them back up as part of your conversations, it helps your brain to start to focus on them. It helps your brain to start looking for the path that's going to lead you in that direction. It's part of the principle B do have that when you start speaking the things that you want and you start living into that person, the path automatically will happen. As you are living into that person, your activities and the things that you do will automatically start to move in that direction.

Kristi:

And so the challenge that came about from one of the women was she said wait a minute. Last month we talked about wanting all of the things, and what she had gotten from that conversation last month was that you can't have all of the things. And so here is where I redirected her thought pattern. I told her you cannot have all of the things all at the same time, right? That just causes too much chaos in our scheduling, causes too much chaos in our relationships, causes too much chaos in our brain, because our brain automatically wants to create the pathway to those things, and so you may not be able to have all of the things all at the same time, without a lot of anxiousness, without a lot of stress, without a lot of overwhelm. But you can have all of the things in different seasons of your life, and so maybe that thing that you truly aspire to is not happening right now. But it doesn't mean to stop talking about it, stop visualizing it and stop dreaming about it, because it could very well be for you in the next season. It could very well be exactly what you want it to be in the future.

Kristi:

And so I wanna ask you do you spend time dreaming? Do you spend time visualizing things? Do you spend time visualizing what it is that you want to create for yourself? Because when you are spending time dreaming about what you want for yourself now and in the future, and when you spend time visualizing them, and especially when you start speaking about them, it does something to your brain. It creates excitement, it creates momentum, it creates the possibility for forward movement. Now, when you notice that you're dreaming and you're visualizing and negativity pops up, you have to redirect your thoughts. You have to come back to what it is that you are dreaming for yourself. You have to come back to the visualization. You can even come back to speaking it out, what it is that you want, because you want to create that forward momentum. You don't want to stop and halt your brain from the visualizing and from the dreaming and from the forward thinking by thinking thoughts that it won't ever happen. Okay, because maybe it's not happening right now, in this season, but there's no reason whatsoever why it cannot happen for you in the next season unless you stop dreaming, unless you shut down the visualization with the automatic negative thoughts. And so I encourage you take the time to dream about what it is that you want for your future. Take the time to create a bucket list based on your dreams for yourself, your aspirations, your experiences that you want to have in the future.

Kristi:

Okay, and oftentimes what I see happening in my clients is that they are spending way too much time in worry. Okay, and, as I mentioned, this whole idea for this podcast all came about because of a conversation that I had earlier this week plus a podcast that I was listening to this morning, and so from that podcast it popped into my brain. Of course you're thinking that you can't make that dream happen, or, of course, you're thinking that I aspire to this, but it won't ever come to fruition when you are someone who is in a constant state of worry, and so I think that this sentence that I heard this morning from Amber Smith is going to help you. The sentence that she said is that worry is the same as praying for what you don't want. Worry is the same as praying for what you don't want, and so, when you're shutting down your dreams and when you're shutting down your aspirations and the experiences of those things that you would love to see happen on your bucket list, you've got to bring your brain back to the present. You've got to bring your brain back to what it is that you want when it wants to go into that cycle and into that pattern of worry.

Kristi:

So, as I mentioned, this was a spontaneous revelation of different thoughts and different conversations coming together, and I knew that I just needed to bring this to you Because, again, if it is on your bucket list and it brings you joy and it brings you happiness, oh how I want that for you, because I know for myself that these are the things that I want for me too, and when I think about you sitting on the other side of this podcast with your headphones in. I just have so much love and so much joy for the relationship that we are able to have through this technology, and so I just want you to know that I am thinking about you. I am sharing this information with you because, if it resonates with you and it makes you smile and it makes you inspired to create forward momentum for what it is that you truly want in your life, that is what makes my heart full. So, again, if this resonates with you, if you want to know more about how you can bring yourself back to the present and how you can focus more on the things that you want for yourself versus the things that you don't, I totally would encourage you to schedule your rediscover you call with me. It's absolutely free. It is 30 minutes of your time. It is 30 minutes of becoming more aware of who you are actually meant to be at this point in your life. So do me the favor of heading over to my website, christyfilaneycoachingcom, click on the rediscover you call button and go ahead and get that scheduled for yourself.
