Hello, my beautiful friends, thank you for coming back to the podcast. I have a very special treat for you. Back in the beginning of September, within my community, I did a five-day challenge called Undistracted. How this challenge worked was that we got together as a community for five days straight and we talked about all the different ways that we can become distracted from the life that we truly want to create for ourselves. So what I have done is I want to invite you into that space. So for the next several weeks, I am going to share with you on this podcast the recording that we did so that that you, too, can become undistracted in your life. Now I encourage you. There are specific practices that we did each day to help us to unwind and help us to become undistracted in different areas of our lives. So I hope that you will also complete those practices, because my wish and dream for you is for you to create the life that you truly love, and being undistracted is going to help you do that. So listen in and enjoy. Make sure that if you have any questions about any of the topics that we talk about, that you reach out to me either on my website, through Facebook or Instagram, because I would love to hear from you.
Speaker 1:Welcome, welcome to day four, and y'all need to pat yourselves on the back for showing up for yourself every day this week. How exciting is that? I'm so excited for you and I'm so excited to be able to share the things that we've been talking about this week, because I don't know if you've realized this, but every single day has built on the last. Every single day has built on the last. The first day we talked about being authentically you, being who you are, to your core, unapologetically, and when we're able to do that, we are able to show up so differently in the world. We're able to show up in our relationships, with our connections, so differently, and we are able to root out the distractions, root out the comparison, the envy, the whatever it is that keeps us from having that close-knit connection that we want in our lives.
Speaker 1:Now I know for me in my 20s it was all about starting a life, getting going in my own independence. And then in my 30s was when I started to start looking for success, start looking for wanting to create that success in a career, in raising my children, and then it kind of shifted. In my 40s it kind of started to come back to me and who I am, and a lot of growth, a lot of growth happening in my forties and in my fifties. I really feel like stuff is just solidifying, and so I don't know if that has been your journey as well, but it's just been so interesting to see, and my hope is that anything that I have been noticing in myself, areas where I have been growing, my hope is that I am able to share that with other women so that, first of all, they feel like they're not alone, right, they feel like they can resonate or they might say, oh well, I didn't really go through that, but here's my story. And also in doing that, my hope is that when younger women come into my circle, that they're able to take what I have been able to offer as far as guidance and as far as sharing my growth, and they're able also able to say, oh, so I'm not the only one that has gone through that. So that is my hope.
Speaker 1:And then so on Monday, we focused on being authentically us, and then on Tuesday, we talked about our vision right, our vision for where it is that we want to go right, and creating that rock solid vision in our mind and reminding ourselves that we need to bring that vision up. We need to bring it into our mind I was going to say quickly, but you want to bring it up regularly so that the steps that you are taking are in alignment with that vision. And then yesterday we talked about time and we talked about the things that distract and steal away our time. So I'm so, so excited to talk to you today about stuckness. Today we are talking about stuckness. Now, if you did not know, in my previous career I was a reading and writing teacher and my favorite subject was actually writing, and so I had to throw a little bit in that, a little bit of writing in here today, so that suffix.
Speaker 1:N-i-s means state, means condition, means quality of, and so I want to ask you do you feel like you are in a state of being stuck, or do you feel like you are in a state of being stagnant? Okay, so this is what we're going to talk about today, and I loved that these deflated balloons came to mind when I thought about stuckness, because that's what it feels like it feels meh, it feels blah, it feels deflating when we find ourselves in a season of being stuck. And so today we talked about where we've been. Get real with yourself, choose your vision. Where did all the time go? Today we're talking about that state of being deflated, feeling stuck. This little girl cracks me up. I just had to share this with you today because she's like, oh, she's deflated, okay, so what is the next piece of the puzzle?
Speaker 1:And we talk about being stuck and we talk about put meshing and bringing all these things together being authentic, creating your vision, being more mindful of where your time is going. What's the next piece of the puzzle? So we have our vision, and what we need next to get this train going, to get out of that stuckness, is the belief that what it is that we want and what has been placed on our heart is for us. Now, I mentioned in one of the days I mentioned that if God has placed it on your heart, we've got to have the belief that, yes, it is for us and he wants us to move further. But what we also need to know is why? Because, with our belief, we want to know the purpose, like why has that desire been placed on you? Why is it that you want it? Because here's what happens is that if we don't have a good, solid purpose, we're going to be willy nilly with our dreams. It's going to be one of those things where it's like a thought and then it fleets and then it comes back right and we aren't working towards it, we are not putting in the action, okay.
Speaker 1:So getting out of that stuckness is putting all of these puzzle pieces together so that you can get in motion, so that you can get into action. Here are some things that are going to distract you. You cannot let the past distract you. Remember that you are no longer there. So, all of those old stories and old beliefs that you have been telling yourself, old circumstances, things that have happened in the past, you cannot let them distract you because you're no longer there, okay. You cannot let worry about the future distract you, because you're not even there yet. Okay, it hasn't even happened. Remember that a couple of days ago, I told you to start where your feet are, and it's the same thing with your state of being. Be where your feet are, be present. Do the things that you can do in the present.
Speaker 1:I mentioned a podcast that I was listening to earlier this week and she talked about energy. She talked about the energy that we have and how procrastination means that. Uh-oh, linda, you can see my only my notes. Oh, my goodness, look how far we've gotten in and you can only see my notes. Let me stop sharing. I just was like go. So hopefully, here we go, hopefully you've at least gotten something out of what I've already shared, so you know what this means. You got to go back and you got to see the girl. There, it is Okay.
Speaker 1:So this is that cute little girl that I was saying just cracks me up, right. She's just like oh my gosh, I'm just I'm stuck. Okay, just cracks me up, right. She's just like, oh my gosh, I'm just I'm stuck, okay. So the puzzle pieces your vision, your belief and your why is what's going to set your action in motion? Okay. So remember, don't get distracted by the past. You're no longer there. Remember, don't get distracted by the past. You're no longer there. Don't let worry about the future distract you because you're not there yet. And be where your feet are. Remember that I mentioned that that suffix N-E-S-S means state of being, okay, so be where your feet are.
Speaker 1:So I was talking about the podcast and she was talking about energy and procrastination and how we. If you notice, when you are procrastinating on something, when you are resisting doing something, you are in a state of low energy, right. You don't have the motivation to do it. There's mind drama going on about should I do it? Well, I don't feel like it, well, maybe I should, and blah, blah, blah, right, all of that going on and it drops your energy level, right? Whereas if we just get in and do it, how much energy is being created, right? How much energy are we utilizing?
Speaker 1:I was talking to a client yesterday and she got called back into work and she wasn't excited about it, right, because she had already done her time. She had already wanted to go about her day and she had exercise planned for that day. And she was like I just can't do it now, I can't exercise. And I said wait a minute, is that a true statement that you can't exercise? I said what if you do exercise and it gives you so much energy to finish out the rest of your day and you have used up your stock of energy, and what an amazing night's sleep you're going to have because you utilized that extra energy. So I can't wait to hear back from her today and see if she actually did go do the exercise and what her energy level was like for the rest of the day. And so imagine if we are utilizing the resources that we have and creating more of it when we just go do the thing.
Speaker 1:Okay, here's some other things that tend to distract us. How Right, when we have that vision in our mind and we just want to be like, but I don't know how to do it, I don't know what the next step is. How is this supposed to look? Again, how much energy are you wasting being distracted by the how? What if you just listened? What if you just asked what's the next best step? Right, instead of worrying about, well, I have to know all of the things right now. If your vision is big enough, you're not going to know all of the steps right now. And if you did, why would you want it? Because you're not growing when you are expanding in the next best step. You are growing in that you are growing your capacity to learn. You're growing your capacity to see what is next for you. You're growing your capacity to take yourself to the next level.
Speaker 1:All right, that statement. I'm not ready. All right, that statement, I'm not ready. Well, when are you going to be ready? If we wait until we're ready, that vision isn't going to come to fruition. It's not going to happen because you're never going to be ready. Just jump in and do the thing.
Speaker 1:What about? I'll be ready when I lose weight. I'll be able to put that bathing suit on and go have a wonderful vacation with my family when I lose weight. Oh girl, go have the vacation now. Go have the fun now. Okay, when I have the money. What if you never have the money Because you're not growing? You're staying stagnant where you're at right. And if you're not growing, you're not gonna continue to create that abundance. And we already talked about when I have it all figured out.
Speaker 1:Okay, oh my gosh, this one is a big one. What could go wrong? Thinking about all the things that could go wrong. What I wanna challenge you with is what could go right? Spend equal airtime in your brain with the things that could go wrong and the things that could go right. We waste too much time in the negative. Also spend that same amount of time in the positive. Commit that to yourself.
Speaker 1:And then the what ifs right, we could. What if ourself all day long? It doesn't move us forward. It doesn't keep us in action. It doesn't create that purpose and that why and the belief in what it is that we're trying to create. There is never any time but now. And there will never be any time but now, right. That's why we have got to stay present, okay, because all that stuff that happened in the past, it's already gone. You already lost that time. All that stuff that you wrote down yesterday on your distraction sheet, it's already done, right. Tomorrow we don't even know. We just got to do what we've got to do. We've got to use the energy for where we're at right now. Be where your feet are, okay. Last thing that I want to share with you is that you were meant to live a larger life than where you are now. Okay, and you've got to take up the space that you're currently in. So if you're in procrastination and you're sitting down watching that TV show, oh, just one more hour, just one more hour Are you expanding the space that you're currently in?
Speaker 1:And these are just a couple of the photos from the last five years maybe, of things where I stretched myself this big rig right here. I took that out twice by myself, drove it with the big old truck, set it up completely by myself. Were there some mishaps? Yes, but I grew from it. I was able to overcome it. When my husband asked me well, why didn't you call me? Because I'm confident in myself. I have belief that I can figure it out.
Speaker 1:This trip here to the Dominican Republic was my first time out of the country by myself. It was my first really, really big business retreat. Okay, it was with 12 other people that were from all over. That I didn't even know. And we hung out on this yacht. We went snorkeling, had an amazing time. Never in my life did I think that I would zip line over concrete life did I think that I would zip line over concrete? And the way that they hook you up and you're completely in this open space. Yeah, you can tell from the look on my face it was a little bit exciting, okay.
Speaker 1:And Tony Robbins man, if you have not been to one of his things, I tell you you are going to expand, you're going to have so much growth. Okay, it takes getting out of your comfort zone to create something new. I have on my podcast 162 videos, almost on authentic episodes, and when I say almost authentic, I take one month a year where I don't record, one month a year where I gather more information, gather more topics, and on that one month I share with you my favorites from before. So if you're listening to September's episode versions, these are my favorites. The ones that I'm sharing with you this month are my favorites because I'm in a season of growth right now, and so I'm creating new things in my business, new topics, new things that I want to talk about and share with you.
Speaker 1:And then this last one here. We wrote dune buggies when we were in the Dominican, and what an amazing opportunity that was. You can see that I am like packed full of mud, some of the things, in fact, those shoes that I wore that day, they didn't even make it home because they were like so nasty. But anyway, you have got to take up the space that you are currently in and expand to continue growing. All right, I want to make sure that I did not leave anything out, because I want to do my best to keep you to the 30 minutes, and so the last thing that I wanted to talk to you about, along with your heart work, is my newest program coming out called Becoming.
Speaker 1:My newest program coming out called Becoming, and what we are doing inside this program and the biggest ask that I have for you is that if this program, it is a 12-week long program. If this program is not for you, please consider someone in your life that it might be for. Okay, because there are so many women that we connect with all of the time and we listen to them, we listen to what it is that they're struggling with, and so if there is someone in your life, I would so appreciate the referral. But inside my Becoming program, we are taking things very similar to what we are talking about here and we are breaking them down to that individual's need and I'm helping them take that next level step. I'm helping them to dig deep and to take these concepts into their specific situation. I'm helping them to strategize ways to fight when their brain wants to be in resistance, when they think that they need to know all of the steps, when they are so stuck in fear that they're not even listening to their intuition, to what that next tiny step might be. And, as you know, all of the work that we have done together over the summer, also in this space, is that we could all use a little more help with our worth, our self-confidence, our identity and our purpose what it is that we are here for and helping them to bring their vision into fruition. So if you know someone who fits into this new program, I would encourage you to please connect them with me. It is a 12-week program and it is strictly one-on-one coaching specific to their needs. All righty, okay, I've got two minutes left. I can't believe it. Are you ready for your heart work? Here we go, so, putting all of these things together.
Speaker 1:Tuesday hopefully you sat with yourself for a while to figure out if you didn't already have a vision. Hopefully you sat and took some time to think about your vision. So what I want you to do today is I want you to think about a 30-day momentum goal okay and I want you to think about how you can align that goal with your vision. So, for me, what I am working on is creating more clients, and so what my momentum goal is going to be is conversations the month of September. So I'm going to sit down and I'm going to think about all the different ways that I can find to communicate and to connect with my ideal client, and so what I am hoping will exist for me by the end of September is five new clients, five new clients. And so what I'm going to do for my momentum part is that, first I'm going to set the goal Five new clients I'm going to sit down and I'm going to listen to my ideas. Okay, remember, I don't know how I'm going to do this, but I'm going to listen to my ideas, I'm going to write them down, I'm going to talk to my intuition and ask what is the next tiny step that is going to move me toward my goal in belief? Because, remember, if it's from my intuition, it's already for me, I already have permission, I already have the approval. So what's the next tiny step that I can take in order to create the momentum? And the biggest thing is you've got to trust yourself. You have got to trust yourself.
