Hey y'all, what's up? It's Shelby here with the Marketing Happy Hour podcast. I am so excited about my little interviewee today. This is Mackenzie Rose. You want to say hi, hi, use your big girl voice. You scream louder than that on the playground, yeah, hi. So, mackenzie, you want to tell everybody how old you? Are.
Speaker 2I'm like four and eight years old, four years old?
Marketing According to a 4-Year-Old
Speaker 1Yes, you are, and you're going into pre-K four. That's so exciting. So today she saw me recording a few podcasts and so she wanted to pop on and use the microphone. So we're just gonna see what kind of questions we can come up with here. What kind of questions we can come up with here and what kind of answers we have. We have no idea. This could be completely unhinged, but you know what this is, what marketing is? One-on-one right, just doing things on the whim, seeing what's up, yeah, what's up, okay. So I'm gonna ask you a few questions, okay, kin, kin, okay, and then you're gonna answer them. Are you ready? So, to everyone out there, I have um ash chat gbt, a few questions to ask a four-year-old about marketing, and let's see what this smart one has to say, because she has been working with me since the day she was born and I'm really curious to hear what her answers are. Okay, ken, ken, let's start with the number one. What do I do for work?
Speaker 2I do take pictures. What?
Speaker 1I do take pictures. What else do I? Do you help me with stickers?
Speaker 2Yep.
Speaker 1Yep, you know how to lay stickers on a window, huh.
Speaker 2Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1What kind of materials and what kind of tools do we need for stickers?
Speaker 2Um, like furniture Mm-hmm and don't work out.
Bluey, Cheetos & Breadstick Business Advice
Speaker 1Oh, okay, so we need pictures and going and working out. Those are definitely two things we do together. Okay, so if a business had a talking animal and you got to choose which animal could talk, what animal would you choose?
Speaker 2A snake.
Speaker 1A snake. Wow, what would the snake say?
Speaker 2The snake says he's hungry. The snake is hungry. What color? Is the snake, a green snake. So what happens if no one buys your?
Speaker 1stuff. If you're trying to sell it, go work out. You go work out. You know what. That's what I do too. I do like to go work out, release some stress whenever no one's buying my stuff.
Speaker 2Yeah, that makes sense yeah, what do you want? To talk about to the people today you want to give them some advice for business.
Speaker 1Yeah, what do you want to talk about to the people today? You want to give them some advice for business.
Speaker 2Yeah, I'm like burnt shirt. People is. I'm like hungry.
Speaker 1Oh, okay, I feel like you're really hungry right now. Yeah, you are, yeah Interesting. So what's your favorite thing to cook with me?
Speaker 2I'm Scotty, scotty yeah.
Speaker 1We like some Scotty Scotty.
Speaker 2Scotty.
Speaker 1Oh, my goodness. Okay, so if you could choose one name to name your business. What would you name it?
Speaker 2Um, I'm just like um Tantan, tantan Sprinter.
Speaker 1Oh, that's interesting. What kind of things would you sell?
Speaker 2Um AAM Hmm.
Speaker 1That's pretty interesting. If you're listening to this podcast, I'd love for you to comment what you think we're selling here, yep. Yep, you just like to say yep. So what's your favorite thing to do when you're not working with Mama?
Speaker 2Go watch TV.
Speaker 1Ooh, what kind of TV shows are you into now?
Speaker 2Um Bluey and Paw Patrol.
Speaker 1Bluey and Paw Patrol are the bomb, uh-huh. What's your favorite character on Bluey?
Speaker 2Um, um, um. They'll eat brisket. What?
Speaker 1Um don't eat, princess. Don't eat, princess. Yeah yeah, that's off of one of the Bluey shows Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. So what's your favorite snack to eat whenever you like are trying to do a quick lunch break during work day. Um, um, I like lunch break during work day. You're very distracted with yourself on this camera right now.
Speaker 2I have Cheetos Cheetos. That's a good snack. I do like thatetos Cheetos.
Speaker 1That's a good snack. I do like that, yeah, okay, so let's do a little bit of marketing advice from a four-year-old. Are you ready for this? Yeah, all right. How do I become rich? Like the people on YouTube are Go eat breadsticks. Go eat breadsticks. Yeah, Well, that's a fantastic way to get rich. Okay, I'd be really good at that. Okay, so if I had a product and no one buys it, do I just throw it at them? No, what do I do then? I don't eat gosh. You just everything's about eating man. Okay, I hope that's not a future coping mechanism, all right. So should I sell lemonade, spaghetti or socks, lemonade, you love lemonade? Yeah, lemonade's so good. Okay, here's a good one. Should I say please when I'm marketing, or just scream buy it now.
Speaker 2Um, scream it, buy it now.
Speaker 1Oh, I like your little strategy there.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1So what's the best slogan? Eat it or else, or yum, yum in your tum tum.
Speaker 2Um, don't, um, don't, um, don't, yummy, yummy, tum tum tum.
Speaker 1Ooh, I like that a lot. So do you have any last advice for all of our listeners out there on business or anything marketing-wise that you think that they could learn from you?
Speaker 2Um, um butcher could learn from you um um bircher and you heard it from her.
